where we come together and shave our heads to raise
money for childhood cancer research.

shaving volunteers, each who have had their own reason, but

eight day trip has turned into eight months. They're stuck
on the International Space Station and they were supposed to
have gotten rescued this weekend.

They got a ride home, and we've seen enough movies
where we kind of know, like, you know, little spaceship
docks on the space station and then a door opens
up and like you know, there were getting home.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Yeah, you're ride home connects to your space station.

So the two astronauts that have been there for nine months,
their ride home finally gets there. The little hatch bay
opens and one of the rescue astronauts.

Wearing an alien mask. Oh my god, I.

Got two astronauts that have been stranded in space for
nine months. The first person they see is a dude
wearing an alien mask.

Saint Patrick's tradition. For the last twenty five years, Saint
Baldwick's Foundation has hosted a Brave the Shave event in
Sacramento for a really good cause.

Today is the sixteenth anniversary of Saint Baldric's here in Sacramento,
where we come together and shave our heads to raise
money for childhood cancer research.

Have you heard of this? I think I talked about
it last year. I don't think I've heard of it.

So the last fifteen years, Mulvaney's in Midtown has been
shaving volunteers, each who have had their own reason, but
this is their common underlying motivation.

When you have cancer, the day comes when you're normal again,
but that piece while you're in the treatment, everyone treats
you like you're different because you have cancer. And so
this is kind of a day where we get to
say everybody's normal.
