Speaker 4 (00:26):
Taylor Swift bought back the rights to her first six albums.
We'll talk about it. Hella headlines are next. It's Kiss
one oh seven point nine.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
It's Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I think congratulations are in order for Taylor Swift. After
her former label sold her catalog in twenty nineteen, Taylor
then started her lucrative might I add very lucrative album
re recording projects.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
But now, for the very first time, Taylor owns all
of her A rich It's huge.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
She's bought back the master recordings to her first six albums,
giving her full control of her entire catalog. She actually
wrote a letter to fans saying, quote, I almost stopped
thinking it could ever happen after twenty years of having
the carrot dangled and then yanked away.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
But that's all in the past.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Now all of the music I've ever made now belongs
to me.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Huge.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yes, I know this is a big, big moment with
her and her and Travis Kelsey will probably celebrate with
an engagement.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
I don't know that out there.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
You know, you know who gave Taylor Swift the idea
to re record her music and then re release it
as Taylor's version?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Who? Kelly Clarkson?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
She just really that's when Scooter Braun's company bought all
the masters, and Taylor's like, I can't believe, Like I
can't get paid off my own music anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Somebody else is getting paid.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
And Kelly Clarkson tweeted, hey, Taylor, just re record your
albums and re release it.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Then you own that version. She goes, I'd buy it,
And so every time, that's so funny.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Time Taylor would re record her new album, she would
send flowers to Kelly Clarkson to thank her. This genius,
so we can thank Kelly Clarkson for the Aras Tour.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Yeah, well Linda, Yes, joby.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Had you seen the the ocean Gate Titan Submersible documentary.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
They're they're running noof to watch that this weekend.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, I mean it was it was, you know, the
submersible that was trying to go down to visit the
wreckage of the Titanic and then it imploded. So it's
a lot of like behind the scenes videos of the
crew who are working up on the top side with
ocean Gate and then now the coast Guard is like sifting.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Through all the wreckage.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
They actually found stuff that kind of survived the implosion.
Oh wow, this is no spoiler if you haven't seen
the documentary, it's on Discovery Channel. So the coast Guard
is kind of like sifting through the wreckage and it's
just this mess of like electronic parts and like carbon fiber,
you know, the fiberglass stuff from the Oceanic Titan.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
But they found a pen.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
There was a pen that was in the sleeve of
a stocked in Rush, the CEO. So they found like
the tiniest part of his sleeve, like nothing.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Else from his rough They found the tiniest part of
his sleep. So clipped onto the pan.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
With a pen, and then they found a couple like
business cards and like Titanic stickers that they were bringing
down in the submersible.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
That's crazy. That's all that remained other than that. It's
just like you mean, the Xbox controller didn't survive.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Xbox controlled, nothing survived that. Yeah, And that's what's blowing
their mind. They're like, out of everything that survived this
implosion in like two miles below the you know, below
the surface, a pen and a couple stickers.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
That's it. I wonder what they're going to do with
that stuff. You can't just like throw it away. Where
does it go? They got it? They got a key
and going to a museum. Yeah maybe maybe.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
But check out the Ocean Gate Titan Submersible documentary this
week and if you can.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Is creat I definitely will. I love documentaries, Love documentaries.
I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (05:12):

Roseville High School.

Speaker 5 (05:41):

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Oh nice it is It is a busy graduation season.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
When is his ceremony? Well, it's actually tonight. It was
going to be this afternoon, but they pushed it back
because they're right on top of how bad this.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Heat is going to be. Oh yeah, oh yeah, So
hopefully that it'll be seven thirty tonight and once the
sun goes down and won't stake his kids in their
caps and gown.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Right, hopefully it cools down by then. Pack your water.
Good luck absolutely, thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, congratulating dreaming live Strawberry and Lazette every afternoon from

Speaker 2 (06:18):
On Sacramento's new Kiss one oh seven point nine and
Kiss one O seven point nine dot com.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
Who does that? Does that? Okay?

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Woman in Canada was seen at the hospital with non
life threatening injuries after she was bit by a.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Black bear whoa how you ask how she.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Was walking home and a black bear came around the
corner of her house and confronted her.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Mm hmm. And this lady tried to scare it off
with her garden homes. Oh, yeah, you're not spraying away
a bear. How is your first instinct not to run?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
They say you're not supposed to, though you're supposed to
like make yourself as big as you can and like
face down a bear.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
But I mean, I get it, but I'm not sure
that would be my first instinct.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
If I saw a bear come around the corner of
my house. Yeah, maybe he didn't see.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Me yet, like I'm running. I especially would not try
to fight it with my hoe. Yeah she's okay, but
hopefully lesson to learn.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
What's the rule with bears again? If not friend, then
why friend shaped? No? Oh sorry, not that one.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Like if it's brown, lay down, lay down, And if
it's black, give back.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
I don't know. Is it fight back?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Are you?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
No, You're not supposed to fight a bear. I wouldn't
fight a bear.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
This doesn't make sense. Don't listen to me. I don't
know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
But who does that does? Definitely do not fight it
with your garden hose.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
It's Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Were we get to these Disney Descendants tickets?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
In case anybody is basing their wildlife survival skills.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
On us, please don't we have an update on how
to fight a bear? How do you fight bears? Please don't.
But I did look it up because I was curious.
Did you know there's actually three rules? I thought there
was only two. Okay, there's three. So here are the
rules when it comes to bear attacks and defending yourself
from a bear.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
It's like a rhyme that everyone's supposed to know. If
it's brown, lay down, I knew that one. If it's black,
fight back.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
You knew that one. If it's white, good night. Oh yeah.
Polar bears. See what it says, polar bears kill for fun.
That's terrifying. It's a rap. If you see a polar bear, I.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Just hope, I just you know, let's just not run
into bears. Then solves that problem. Good plan, Good plan.

Speaker 3 (08:29):

They announced that they have another sister. They have a
twenty three.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
Year old half sister, really named Idn.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
I think if I'm saying her name right.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
She shares the same dad, but a different mom, like
some chick that their dad had a fling with.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
I guess we know how to happen. We can do
the math.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
She was born and raised in Florida, grew up with
quote the man she lovingly knew as her father until
his sudden passing when she was nineteen, that's I guess.
Around the time or maybe soon after that, she decided
to take a DNA test and found out that Bella
and Gigi had.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Died were her sisters.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
WHOA how crazy is that taking a DNA test and
finding out that you are directly related to celebrities?

Speaker 5 (09:46):
She stumbled into a fortune.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Wow, yeah, so are they do we know if like
Gigi and Bella, are they like embracing the half sister.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Yeah, so they so they made this announcement and all
they said was that they have like they have met,
they have spent time together as a family. But they
basically were telling people like don't bother her and like
give her privacy and stuff.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Huh yeah, that's so cool, my Lenda gusterrovery well.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
There is a lot to do this weekend in sac
The AAPI Night Market is tonight from five to ten

Speaker 5 (10:37):
I'm doing a different one.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Well, you had you were twelve incline on the treadmill yesterday,
so I just assumed I'm busy that day, gotcha. And
then happening all weekend is the Capital City Tattoo Convention.
That's hell aheadlines on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh seven
point nine.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Good news for everybody who graduated.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
You no longer have to deal with low tech teaching,
which is making a comeback.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
We'll talk about it.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Next every afternoon, whenever you want.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
The kids took AI, uh ruined it yep, and now
now it's going Now it's going away. Kind of kind
of kiss one of seven point nine. Strawberry less that
in the afternoon. There's been a wave of students taking
advantage of AI in the all the chat GPTs and
all the things and using it to help them with
their schoolwork and maybe even some tests.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Aka they're cheating. Yeah, they're cheating with chat GPT Why
wouldn't you. They're using it to cheat. Teachers are not done.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
They know exactly when someone is using AI to cheat.
So the classic twentieth century paper exam.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Booklets sales are skyrocketing.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Teachers are doing away with the AI, away with the technology.
They're starting to revert back to paper, paper essays, an essays,
written tests, exams, things like that to avoid using AI
to cheap.

Speaker 5 (12:05):
They're going back to low tech teaching.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Yeah, break out your pen and your binder paper.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
Kids.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
Literally, I buy binder paper and pens for my son
every year and he doesn't even use it. He does
all his schoolwork on a laptop. Yeah, it's mostly with universities.
They're kind of reverting back to the older ways. I
wouldn't be surprised if it trickled down into like high school. Yeah,
teachers getting rid of all the technology and like, nope,
bring out your number two pencil, here's your scan trot.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
Exactly put your laptop. So I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Send Strawberry and Lazette a talkback message while you stream
the new Kiss one o seven point nine on the
always free iHeartRadio.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
App top of your daily dose of good news.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Here is what's good with Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's
New Kiss one oh seven point nine. So, after he
retired from the NFL forty nine, er star Keena Turner
and his wife Linda moved up to Tracy, where they've
taken on the task of giving back to their community.
I love when superstars and athletes and you know, like

(13:05):
a listers use their money for good.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
What's his name, Keina Turner, Keina Katie. I'm also thinking
it's like where ever heard this before?

Speaker 3 (13:16):
So Keina and his wife Linda have worked closely with
the Boys and Girls Club in Tracy. So there's actually
twenty eight different clubhouses in Tracy that serve over five
thousand kids. So here's the director of operations describing what
a typical day at the Boys and Girls Club is.

Speaker 7 (13:34):
As soon as the bell rings number one, we'll give
you a safe place to come to. So the bell's
gonna ring, we're gonna see three thousand kids kind of scattered.
They're gonna meet their mentors.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Every day. We're gonna have a.

Speaker 7 (13:41):
List of our kids that they're excited to see. We
go right to Power Hour, which is our homework completion time,
allowing them some time to be with their friends and
get some of their homework completed. Then we give them
feed them a nice hot supper. We want to make
sure our kids are very well, taking care of their
homework is done.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
They've eatn a hot meal. So all that's going on
inside the Boys and Girls clubhouse now. To help fund
all this, Keina Turner and his wife have been hosting
an annual charity golf tournament that has raised millions of dollars.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Here's Keina.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
When we made the move to Tracy, we had friends
who already she had friends, and they were already kind
of talking about a golf tournament to support the Boys
and Girls Club, and we jumped on board.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And they've been doing it for three years. So after
this year they will have raised ten million dollars. The
thirtieth charity golf tournament is the final one, and it's
scheduled for June sixteenth.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I absolutely love that the Boys and Girls Club exists
because as a parent, it's such a stressor.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
Yeah, when school gets out at.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Three, but you don't get off work till five or
six exactly, And it's just such a huge help to
have that in your backyard or right next door that
your kids can go to after school and you know
that they're going to be safe, they're going to be
taken care of, looked after. It's just the Boys and
Girls Club is an amazing thing that exists.
