Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sonny one of six point five. Las Vegas is best
variety of the eighties, nineties and today.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
My name is Sean.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
I wish I had seen this list before I tried
to tackle decluttering my home office over the weekend. But
here are a few things that home organization experts say
most people regret holding onto. First of them being old paperwork.
I have a drawer full of it. Mail I've never opened,
probably never will start there, right, unworn clothing, stuff you
(00:26):
tell yourself, I will fit this one day. That's always
the justification, right, Anything that's expired, leftover paint, extra cookwar
that you can probably donate, old electronics, and that we
all have that just in case. Pile right for me.
It's it's a box with the three seeds, cords, cables,
and chargers, right just in case I might need one
(00:49):
of these. I'm not gonna throw it out. We've all
got one of those, right. Maybe start with those things
if you're looking to do some decluttering. It's Sunny one
of six point five.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Six.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
It would seem that millions of people have been looking
for love in all the wrong places, but I have
got the right place for you.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
It's Sonny one. It was six point five. My name
is Sean.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
I think when most people are looking for romance, they
tend to go to some pretty frequent spots, right dating apps,
bars and clubs, social places, maybe asking friends if they
know someone. But the real answer is to start reading.
A new study shows that one in four people who've
attended a book club have met someone that you're interested
in romantically. Now, more men than women admitted to this
(01:33):
in the study. The difference is is that the guys
tend to keep their membership in these book clubs a
secret from their guy friends. So look, it's not just
about reading the books. The book clubs are honestly about
making new friends and socializing as much as they are
about the latest novel. So maybe start reading between the
lines with a few of the people that are at
a book club that you're in, or start joining one yourself.
(01:56):
You might find your soulmate there. Sonnywe it was six
point five. We're giving you two chances every day to
win Lego Land tickets at seven forty and eight forty
and look at that.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Another one of those chances coming up soon. Sunny Mornings
with Joanna and Sean. I'm Sonny. When I was six point.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Five Sunny when I was six point five, Las Vegas's

We like to do this thing that we call little victories.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
So any win you've got in your life, let us
know we'll cheer you on, celebrate you.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Let's start with Seth, Seth, what's going on? What's your
little victory today?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Hey, I just found out that I have been secretly
earning rewards on my Lows card over the last couple
of years, and I have a two hundred dollars credit
that I can just use to buy anything I want
from Lows. So I think I'm gonna get myself a
new tool set.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
New tool sets. I love that. I'll take that.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
It's all about the little thing.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
That is more than a little thing that's a new
tool sets.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
This is also a good reminder for all of us
just to check our loyalty accounts see if we have
any rewards sitting there waiting for us. Because two hundred
dollars is that is nice?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Seth?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Okay, I'll take it to congrats. Let's go to Christina.
What's your little victory?
Speaker 4 (03:09):
My cat came back.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Nice.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
I lost her a few nights ago. She got really
excited there was a squirrel and she took off, and
then we walked around everywhere trying to find her at night,
and she was just gone. And then two days later
she just she's back. She shut up. I don't know
what kind of adventure she tied for the last couple
of days, but I'm so relieved.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I'll bet it sounds like your cat was out there
roaming the streets with some crazy squirrel.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
But glad that's over.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Yeah it was crazy. I mean she just yeah, yeah, squirrels.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Man, it is always squirrels. Like my cat Belly does
that too.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
But the minute she gets outside she realizes, oh yeah,
I'm I'm not an outdoor cat.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I'm an indoor cat. Hopefully your cat remembers the same thing.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Hopefully hopefully she didn't want this with.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
This, well, I'm glad your cat is back.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Congrats six point five. You know, summer and movie nights
go hand in hand, and as the temperatures start to
creep higher and higher. Nice to see a number of
the hotels in the valley inviting locals in for movie
nights on their big screens. It's Sunny Windows six point five.
My name is Sean, and your sunny story of the
day today all about which resorts are hosting you for
(04:21):
movie nights at their pools and such. Cosmopolitan definitely on
that list. I got a sixty five foot digital marquee
out there and admission just fifteen dollars to watch movies
throughout the summer at their Boulevard pool. Fountain Blue admission
just ten bucks to go watch movies. They have a
lot of animated and Marvel films this summer at Fountain Blue.
(04:43):
Am resorts back with their dive in movie nights and
that's going to be on their eight hundred square foot
led screen admission just ten dollars. And Silverton their Flicks
floats will present movies on a thirty six foot screen
at the swimming Hole. All the information on these resorts
and affiliated costs will be up at Sunnywinto six five
(05:05):
dot com. But unless you're watching Gone with the Wind,
I would say three hours of free parking for locals
and most of these resorts, there's going to be plenty
of time to take a dip and watch a movie.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny
one oh six point five SONNYWEO six point five.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Las Vegas is best variety of the eighties nineties and today,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
My name is Sean.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I want to talk for a second about how much
I love this city and this radio station. So I
came on board here as Joanna's partner on the show
in October of twenty twenty three, and I have absolutely
fallen in love with this city.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Joanna, by the way, on maternity leave, just had a
beautiful baby, girl, Isabella. We were wishing them both the best.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
In the meantime, I am doing my best here to
hold it down in the morning, answer the phones, meet
everyone I can and do my best. Now that brings
me to my favorite part of this job, which is
meeting people. And yesterday I was out of the grand
opening of a new grocery outlet that is opened at
Nellis and Charleston, and I talked with a man named
Jerry who.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Listens to us every day.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
We probably talked for forty five minutes, and we connected
on something that he has known for about thirty one years.
Jerry moved here in nineteen ninety four to Las Vegas.
I've been here for a little over eighteen months. But
both of us love very much the same thing about
this city, and it's that Las Vegas has all the
perks of one of the biggest, greatest cities in the world,
but also has a sense of community and connection that
(06:30):
you find in the greatest small towns across America. And
we talked about how important that is. Community, knowing your neighbors,
taking care of each other, watching out for one another,
and that's what I have loved the most about living
in Las Vegas, and Jerry really reminded me how important
that is. So good morning to Jerry. Hope you're listening
(06:50):
this morning. It was great talking to you yesterday. Sunny
