just keeps saying it banana. I feel like I have
a little minion running around the house. Let's start with
Alia in Spring Valley. What's your good news?

I was going everywhere in my mind trying to figure
this out. And the store that I had shopped in
called me. Oh man, forty eight hours after I lost it,
after I'm pulling all my hair out, they found it.
I'd like, I guess I dropped it or left it there,
and nobody has touched it, nobody used it. Wow, there

(03:34):
was no test. They just had it in this The
manager had it for me. I just came right down
and picked it up. Oh fantastic.

get them checked out, right, just for peace of mind.

Speaker 4 (04:12):

you know, I got worried and I got it checked

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Ernie.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Sunny one was six point five. Las Vegas is best
variety the eighties, nineties and today it's Sean Now. As
you may know, every year we turn into Las Vegas
official Christmas music station. We go twenty four hours a
day Christmas music. Which is why today's sunny story of
the day very near and dear to our hearts. Over here,
the official Christmas tree that's going to adorn the lawn

(04:57):
at the US Capitol in Washington, d C. This year
is coming from Nevada and they are asking the US
Forest Service is asking for our help here in Nevada
in decorating it. They are asking for more than ten
thousand hand crafted ornaments and we get to send them.
So here's a few of the criteria. They must be
brightly colored, nine to twelve inches in size. These thing's

(05:19):
gotta be big, weatherproof, and they have to represent the
Silver State in some way just pay homage to the state.
They must be uniquely Nevada, so take that into consideration.
You can either send them to Carson City or drop
them off at Forest service offices. You have until September
fifteenth if you want to have the possibility of one

(05:40):
of your handmade ornaments adorning the Christmas tree at the
US Capital this year. It's Sunny one to six point five.
I'll put all the criteria everything you need to know
at Sunny one of six five dot com. Just click
on Sunday Mornings.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Shaw on Sunny one of six point five.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
So should school be year round or do we keep
summer vacation the way it is seven O two seven
nine six one oh six five. It's Sunny one a
six point five. My name is Sean. Now I think
the answers do you get to this question highly depend
on when you're asking it. And now that school has
been out for a week here in the valley and
parents have had their kids pretty much full time, we'll
see if that affects those answers. Let's go to aarin

(06:18):
in Sunrise, Manor. You got two kids elementary school and
middle school. What do you think keep summer vaca or
go school year round?

Speaker 6 (06:25):
Summer?

Speaker 7 (06:26):
Summer is good.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Summer is good.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
You got to have summer. Kids have to have a break.
I remember just I don't know. Every summer, I feel
like I grow as a person. There'd always be something
that would be the stuff that school can't teach. So
it takes that away would just.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Be such a shame.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
That's such a good way to put that. I think
once you get away from the structure of school, you've
got that downtime to discover who you are as a person,
maybe do some travel, discover the world, other other cultures.
You got the whole, your whole life to work in
an office year round, right, might not give kids the
downtime while you can?

Speaker 7 (07:01):
Yeah, yeah, you need that transition time before the next
school year starts. If it's one long run of school.
I think kids are going to burn out.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I'll be honest, I think they're kind of burned out
already between cell phones and social media pressures we never
had to deal with growing up.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
Too hard to be a kid.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Now give him a break.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, you know what I got to say. I do
agree with you. Thanks to the call Aaron coming up
seven forty getting you and the family into Lego Land
with the name drop. Make sure you're signed up at
Sunny one of six five dot com.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Sunny one oh six point.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Side Sunny one was six point five. Las Vegas is
best variety of the eighties nineties and today, Good morning,
it's Sean. Let's do another round. Feel Good Friday seven
oh two, seven nine six, one oh six five. Anything
that's got you feeling good as we head into the weekend.
Let me know what that is. We'll share it with
the city. My son has learned his first three syllable word.

(07:51):
It's banana, and he's saying it a lot like It's
like a minion running around the house saying banana. I
love it. Ruby. Let's go to Ruby. What's got you
feeling good today?

Speaker 8 (08:00):
Oh my god, I am so happy and I think
you're going to be happy for me. I have those
electronic keys for my car. Yeah, couldn't find them anywhere.
I think they called three hundred and three fifty a pop.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Oh yeah, all right, let's go.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (08:15):
I was so excited in my couch, deep within the cushions.
I couldn't believe it. I was sick about it. Really.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Oh look, and that's why I'm gonna just be GPS
tagging everything with Apple air tag so I can use
my phone to find it, you know.

Speaker 8 (08:29):
Yeah, absolutely, I'm so grateful though, but it was scary.
Just look. I think I broke into a complete sweat
looking for him, and I'm fat. So that's kind of good.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Stop all right, Yeah, that was a great story. Thank you,
Thank you. You have a great day.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Wake up with Sunny Mornings with zo Inna and Seohn.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I'm Sonny one, oh six point five.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Sonny one was six point five. Las Vegas is best
variety of the eighties nineties, and today it's Sean. So,
what are your thoughts on year round school? And you've
had your kids for a week now, they've been out
school summer vacation. You want to send them right back already.
What do you think year round schooling should we do it?
Aarin a little earlier said no, keep summer vacation the
way it is. I'm kind of on board with that.

(09:11):
I think I think kids need a break from the
structure of school to discover themselves in the world. But
that's just me, Teresa. What are your thoughts? Is it
time for year round school you know what?

Speaker 5 (09:21):
At this point?

Speaker 7 (09:22):
Perhaps because I feel like what our education system is
so awful.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
It's not the kid's fault.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
So yeah, maybe let's go year round.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Let's go baby, all right?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
So you're right, that's a vote for year round schooling.
You think we need to catch up to other states,
other countries.

Speaker 7 (09:40):
Exactly, Let's give a little bit more education, real education
in this country.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Going all right, that's what one vote for year round
school and you might be the only one too, So
all right seven oh two seven nine six one oh
six five. If you want to play that game with
me right now and your name drop coming up here
shortly eight forty another chance to go to Lego, California
with the family. Make sure you're signed up at SONNYWEO
six five dot com. That's on the way as we
go commercial free next so is it time for year

(10:11):
round school or do you like summer vacation the way
it is? Seven oh two seven nine six, one oh
six five, it's sunny one o six point five. My
name is Sean. I think if you ask parents in
the thick of the school year, when they're exhausted with
all things school, they'll tell you, no, we need that break.
Keep summer vacation, give us those few months off between
school years to decompress. But I think once summer gets here,

(10:33):
you're a week or two in with those kids around
all the time. I think some parents start whistling a
slightly different tune. Let's let's stop the brain drain. We
need year round school. We don't want to set our
kids back. Right. We have had Aaron call in and
say keep summer vacation the way it is. Teresa said
that she thinks it's time for year round school so
we can catch our kids up. Let's go to Amber.

(10:56):
What do you think is it time for year round school?

Speaker 9 (10:58):
Absolutely not, No, we don't need summer school. They got
camps and stuff, you know, Like, let's not act like
they're like, you know, learning to be brainy acts in
there anyway, like it's exhausting.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
School is exhausting. It's all day. Listen, do I want
my kid in my house all summer driving me crazy?
Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
But like, school isn't a solution.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
Send them kids to camp and you know, just go
chill out with a glass of wine or something if
you need a break. School all year is crazy school.
That's that's unnecessary.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
You know what. I thought I had follow up questions
for you, but I don't. I think you just hit everything.
Thank you. That was great, Yeah, thank you. That's someone
Sunny one. It was six point.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Five your last name to Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
I'm Sunny one. I was six point five.
