Speaker 1 (00:00):
Whether you want to admit it or not. Plenty of
times where you've traveled, you've probably slipped a little something
into your suitcase from that hotel room.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Good morning, it's Joanna and Sean and Travel and Leisure
recently put out a list of the most popular items
to steal from hotel rooms, and some of these things
are actually pretty bizarre.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I mean I've definitely contributed to list, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yes, I know that I will.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I will freely admit I used to take the little
the mini shampoos and conditioners all the time.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
But I feel like that because you can right like
they expect.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
That right now, they have it in those little contraptions
that are stuck to the wall that they make you
squeeze out a little bit at a time, Like they're
making it harder and harder for me to steal. I
don't like it.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah, or saving on costs, who knows what the move
there is? Right, But there are plenty of items that
can be stolen very easily, like towels. Yeah, that's actually
the most common item to be taken from a hotel room.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Oh, I have family who love to take the towels.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'm sure, right, slippers and bathrooms. That one's surprise, because
usually the bathrooms come with it, like a cost.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, for sure, for sure I could see accidentally quote
unquote walking out with the sandals though.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, absolutely hangars, pens and those tiny cosmetics, other things
like Q tips and cotton balls that are on the
scenk for you to take.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Okay, Yeah, pens are souvenirs as far as I'm concerned. True.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Now, some people go big with their hotel swiping. Get this,
some people have stolen things like actual artwork from the
walls in their hotel room.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Yeah, that's that's ballsy, that's I can take some gus.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I've been tempted, but would never have the you know,
the audacity to do something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I know, stuff's usually bolted to the walls. Too kind
of hard to take.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
These things, I think more common coffee makers, blow drivers,
and even the occasional.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
TV a TV that's also gutsy move.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Really gutsy moves. Now, these things you can chalk up
as the weirdest and biggest.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Get this, some.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
People have actually taken the bathroom fixtures from their hotel.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Room, treating it like a lows like just basically wow, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Can you believe that? And I don't know how this
one got through, but it's been reported that even a
hotel's piano was stolen. That would require a moving truck.
But yeah, I don't know how the people like can
just have the audacity to do something.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Like this, Right, Joanna, you can get away with almost
anything with a little confidence and a clipboard. And I'm
sure that's all they did to take that.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Bea that's true.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Sunny Story of the Day. Come up up next, Joanna,
what you got.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well, something truly special just happened in Boulders City and
early Thanksgiving celebration that's gonna warm your heart. Stick around
for those details.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
It's next Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sonny
one oh six point five.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Joanna and Sean on Sunny one of six point five
with a daily dose of positivity we call the sunny
Story of the day. What's going on, Joanna?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Well, recently, Saint Jude's Ranch for Children in Boulder City
hosted something truly heartwarming. It's annual Thanksgiving at the Ranch,
where dozens of foster kids, many separated from their brothers
and sisters, were reunited for an early holidays celebration.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Man, it gets me emotional just thinking about that. It's
one of those things where I'm aware of the foster system.
I don't often think about the fact that siblings are getting,
you know, pulled into different places to families that clearly
want to do the best thing for them, but it's
not always the easiest.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, the day was all about family and fun. A
Food Network chef Vic Vegas actually led the kids in
a cooking class for a classic Thanksgiving feast, which is awesome.
So they were taught how to make dishes like homemade
apple pie and good stuff like that. Now, between kitchen
sessions and duties, siblings were able to play games together,

(03:43):
they created arts and crafts together, and even made gratitude jars.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh Man, just to use this time of year to
help kind of build some core memories and some important
ones for those siblings that are unfortunately not able to
be together the rest of the years. It's just so important.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah, for many of these children, spending Thanksgiving together isn't
possible because of those foster placements. So this event is
definitely truly magical and want to be cherished a year
over year in our community. Now the day wrapped up
with a big Thanksgiving dinner prepared by the kids themselves,
really showing proof that even when life separates us, love
always finds a way to bring us back together. So

(04:23):
if you want to read more about today's sunny story
of the day, you can right now. It's sunny one
I was six y five dot com. Just click on
Sunny Mornings Now. Some good news from Jennifer who wants
to share something cool that recently happened to her.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Well, I don't know, I can't really explain it. But
so it's the anniversary of my grandfather's death. He's been
gone one year, and I'm just flipping through a drawer
and just going through stuff and I'm kind of thinking
about him, and I I came upon a picture of him.
It was just a random It's from when he was
in the military and he was really young, and I

(04:58):
don't know, I felt like he was saying hi.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
It was.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Pretty cool. It made me cry.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
It was pretty cool, of.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Course, it made me cry.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, I mean, that's that can be emotional.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
We'll probably thinking about your grandfather a lot.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Huh, that's every day, every day.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Well, why don't you go ahead just shout him out
for us this.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Morning, Grandpa.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
I love you and I miss you.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Ah, that's so nice, Sunny one o six point side
Sonnywado was six point five. It's Joanna and Sean. Now
we've all been there, right, You come home after a long,
hard day at work and you sink into the couch
for a minute, and you say, I just need a minute, right,
just to scroll decompressed. Now that minute becomes five, becomes thirty,

(05:40):
becomes an hour, and now you've wasted like an hour, right,
and you maybe ordering takeout and you've lost all productivity.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Absolutely Well, there's a new viral TikTok out there, a
hack that has wrapped up more than three point seven
million views, and it claims to be the secret to
cooking more at home. And it's as simple as not
changing out of your work clothes right away.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, So what she's doing? Her name is Sadiq ali Is.
In this video, she basically comes home from work and
walks straight to the kitchen, jacket on, purse still over
the shoulder, and starts peeling potatoes. And she says it's
helping her save like sixty dollars a week. I'm guessing
because she's not you know, ordering takeout because she's gotten lazy.
But it's like struck a chord with just millions of people,

(06:23):
because that's the couch trap. Once you once you hit
that couch, it's pretty much game over, right.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And she said she's saving money but also saving calories too,
because when you're not eating out, you're eating a lot
less and eating healthier at home. Now, I mean, this
video I think has gone so viral because it's such
a relatable thing to anybody out there, you know who
works during the day and you got to make dinner
for yourself for your family, and you just don't want

(06:49):
to do it. You try to do anything else but
do that.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
So what do you do to avoid couch trap when
you get home?

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Oh my gosh, Well, I mean, I guess, I guess.
This is my way of avoiding it is when I
have a long day of work, I like to go
home and take my kids to like the park or
outside to play. Because if I do something active, then
when we come back, like the kids are a little
bit more tired, so I can do things like cook

(07:16):
because that for me is the hardest thing right now,
is like I come home, you know, especially my son
has so much energy. It's like he has to burn
that off in order for me to then get other
things done.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
I agree. I think it's anything outdoors, something to get
you've into the office all day, you want to get outdoors,
do something for me. Maybe it's me for me, like
walking the dog right right, But anything you can do
to kind of avoid sinking into the couch, you have
to think about it immediately otherwise that's couch trap game over.

Speaker 4 (07:43):
This is Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean. I'm sunny
when I was six point five.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Sonny one, I was six point five. It's Sunny Mornings
with Joanna and Sean. So for years, Joanna, I think
we've all heard the hype around kale and spinach as
being kind of the healthiest foods on the planet, right, superfoods.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Yes, exactly. Or you know, I've heard a lot of
benefits about broccoli. Yeah, right, they have a lot of
benefits too.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Well, it turns out that they're not even the healthiest
veggies out there. There is a new study that has
shown that watercress as apparently the healthiest vegetable on the planet.
It has like a peppery, bitter taste to it, but
it is packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants. It is basically
a nutrient powerhouse and it barely adds any calories whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, those are the like the tiny like green little
leafs right like they're like they're almost like four leaf clovers.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
But yeah, yeah they do. They do kind of look
like that. Now, apparently people are packing it into like
soups and on top of sandwiches, inside of a set.
I guess you could sneak to you with salad real easy.
Some people are even putting it into omelets. But here's
the thing. It attracts like tiny little insects, so you
have to make sure you wash it really well.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Okay, that's good to know, but what are the main
health bet does it say?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Uh, let's see, well, I mean it just says all
kinds of nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals. It's just like everything
you could possibly want. I'm like, how do we overlook
watercress as my.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Guess, I don't know, maybe the expense. Like now I'm thinking, like,
how is a watercress selling not all the rage if
it has all these benefits?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Well, I've been overlooking watercress in every vegetable for years.
This is typically this is not like a Sean story.
Typically like I would be telling you about like the
newest chocolate that is packed with antioxidants.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
But no more of your wife's alley right more.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Yes, for sure, I will tell her all about watercress
and she would see what she sneaks it into, right,
and sneak it up on us. Next our sunny story
of the day, Joanna, what you got going on?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Well, something truly special just happened in Boulders City, a
Thanksgiving celebration that is gonna warm your heart and remind
you what family is all about. We'll share those details
coming up next. Sony Warmer six.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Sunny Mornings would when and Sean on Sunny Window was
six point five, a new addition to the show where
Joanna keeps us plugged in with all things entertainment. It's
Joe in the know.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Streaming platforms are heating up in mid November with some
pretty big titles. Tell me if any of these interest you.
It looks like Netflix just added Blue Beetle, which is.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
A DC superhero not into comics.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Okay, Gabby's Dollhouse season twelve for family audiences, m maybe
HOLLI might be into that one, right, and the romantic
drama This is what I'm into. Champagne Problems.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
I watched that yes now.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Meanwhile, over on Peacock, it looks like they have recently
launched Epic Ride. Have you heard about this? It's called
epic Ride The Story of Universal Theme Parks is a
three part docu series exploring the history and culture of
Universal's iconic attractions.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
It sounds like something that might finally get me to
get Peacock.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I think it sounds pretty awesome. Now some awesome Vegas news,
MGM Resorts is turning up the fun during Formula one weekend,
which is coming up quick. They have booked DJ sets
from Stevie, Oki Alessio, and even announced that Bruno Mars
will be performing.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
Oh he's a regular here, he'd better be performing.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Does he should live here? He lives here, right? And
some more Vegas headlines for you. Yesterday was announced that
individual event tickets for WrestleMania forty two, which is taking
place April eighteenth and nineteenth at Allegiance Stadium again this year.
We'll go on sale Black Friday at ticketmaster dot Com. Now,
WrestleMania Huge last year, this year here in Vegas and

(11:32):
expected to only be.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Bigger this year. It should only be in Vegas. Ever,
I know it's.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
So cool, yeah, but the prices need to go down
so I can afford to go too, because I have
such a crush on Roman Reigns. Okay, but that's your
entertainment scoop right now on All Things Sound, Screens and
Stars Show No.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Four Wake Up with Sunday Mornings with Joanna and John
on Sonny one oh six point five.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Good morning, It's Joanna and Sean and I have a
girlfriend who's going through just that right now. How she
has been thinking about ending this relationship for quite some time,
but now it's already, you know, mid November, and she's like,
do I wait until the new year? Do I hold
out like or do I do it before and just
rip the band aid off.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Look, you could say we should want to say about
being honest with yourself when the person you're with, But
if you want to ask me, she's just got you
got to stick it out at this point, get get
through the holidays, do it On the other side, No,
I told.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Her she has to do it because then if he
buys her presence, she's gonna look like she was just
in it for the presence.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
I don't think that's necessarily true.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
I think and most men would think if a woman
stayed with him through Christmas and then broke up with
him in the New Year, that she was using him
for the.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Gifts, Like he's gonna get gifts too. I just think,
all right, look, it's no one wants to be bummed
out and be broken up with right before the holidays
and have to answer those questions all. Just do it.
I'm thinking doing a favor by staying with him through
the holidays.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
No, rip the band aid off. This poor dude can't
be dragged on any longer.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Well we get someone on the line here, let's talk
to Mary. Mary, what do you think before or after
the holidays to break up?

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Be four Wait wait a second, that doesn't sound so confident.
Well what do you think before or after? Well?

Speaker 3 (13:09):
I think before the holidays, because why why lead some
person on and it's the holidays and that's going to
be around your friends.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
And then it's even more humiliating ah to that person
if you break up with them.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
I don't think so. I think I think you gotta
stick it out, you know. I mean, that's so you
think you just got to get it over with, cut
it off, just like that, move on.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I mean, listen, I don't
think anybody should procrastinate on this one. Thank you for
the call this morning.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
Okay, I think we need more. More people need to
agree with me that. Yeah, yeah, more people need to
agree with me on this. We'll take more calls. Next.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
You're going to break up with someone this time of
the year, do you do it before the holidays or
wait until after? Seven oh two seven, nine, six five.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
We'll see what Daryl has to say about this. Darryl,
what do you think break up before or after the holidays?

Speaker 6 (14:06):
Oh? The right answer is before the holiday season. But
y'all know how good is it in the moment?

Speaker 3 (14:17):
I get it. Every time you want to break up
with someone, there might be like or like a really
nice moment, right it just it makes it hard, but.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
It always like you always end up with other people
way more drama if you're not wanting to be committed,
like everybody shows their drama side on the holidays. The
right answer is to get out, But it depends on how.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Much you're enjoying it, all right, Darryl, you're kind of
going back and forth here, all right, but it sounds
like you're more on the side of do it before
the holidays.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Thank you for the call, dude. Well all right, well,
I still think more people need to agree with with me.
Here we got Gabe Gabrielle online here Gabrielle, what do
you think break up before after the holidays? You do
it after? Mm hmm.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
I mean, listen, like the holidays can be a little lonely.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
And and I don't know, maybe there's a chance that
you'll change your mind.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
I think, I think after.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Right, like enjoy yourself.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Yeah, maybe, like enjoy the gifts you're gonna give, I think,
and you're gonna give. And if you're gonna give, I
know that. Look, that's what I'm saying, though, don't don't
ruin somebody's holiday. Let's get through it together, and then
you do it in January, right, ye, a January like
a new start here.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Well, I mean I'm still not fully you know, convinced here,
but I get what you're saying. Just you know, hold
out till January.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Right. There's there's a lot going on, like too many
things to do? Why deal with a breakup? Yeah, there's too.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Much on those to do list, Like I got a
shop for people I can't.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
No, let's just let's deal with that lead.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yeah, and that last present you get them. That's like
a going away gift, right, like a parting gift. That's
what I'm talking about. Absolutely, that's tech. That's what I
needed to get.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
On my side. Yeah, you got one person on your side, Suddy.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
What was six point five? Are going commercial free next
and another four pack of SeaWorld tickets coming up at
eight point forty with the name drop your.

Speaker 4 (16:05):

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Well, uh, you were participating pretty frequently in our contest

I've had such a bad week.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
This is great news. Oh that's awesome. Listen. I mean
I feel like the Jonah's brothers can cure all right,
So it's only up from here.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Nothing a little Nick, Kevin and Joe can't sol between
the three of them.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
They're like my childhood crushes.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Right now, you have no idea who is your.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Favorite, though, if you had to pick one.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
I do like Kevin. That's my girl right there.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
And I'm a Joe Jonas girl myself. Have you seen
how sexy he looks on the store girl? Okay?

Speaker 6 (18:25):
Fair enough?

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Poor Nick left out in the Clones with his third
middle tooth.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
There, No, you forgot about the other brother.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
That's the forgotten. Oh that is that is true. He's
happy in his anonymity, I think though.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Awesome we Giselle, thank you so much for listening to
study when it was six point five. We are setting
you front row to the Jonas Brothers with meeting great passes.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Congratulations, oh god, thank you so much
