Speaker 1 (00:00):
So this may sound strange, but this year's big hit
on your Thanksgiving dinner table might be a Snicker's salad.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Right here on the study what it was six point
five and yes, a candy bar salad. It's actually a thing.
It's a Thanksgiving food trend that has been taking off
in prior years because.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
It's just really simple to make.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I mean, it's this is the dessert before we call
it anything else. This is a dessert for sure. What
else is in this thing besides Snickers bars?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, we're going to get into that on if it's
a dessert or a side, but what it is is
a chopped up salad, so it includes candy bars, and
it doesn't have to be Snickers. It could be twigs
or kit kats, too, apples, whipped cream, and then seasonings
in a bowl. Now some people are also adding flavored
putting mix into it to make it thicker. But a
lot of people are treating this as a Thanksgiving side dish.

(00:53):
But like you said, Shot, no, a lot of people
think it should be a dessert, not a sign.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
There's no actual lettuce in this thing, right, What kind
of seasoning are we talking about? Like cinnamon's the only
thing that makes sense here. You're not talking about a
regano or anything that would be.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Terrible, no, gross, So yeah, I guess that really begs
a bigger question on whether or not, you know, what
does a salad exactly?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
This is? This is really stretching the definition of a salad.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I've seen some questionable salads in the Midwest where it
is quite is whipped cream and fruit and whatever, and
that that becomes somehow a fruit salad, right, I mean,
but this is I mean, if it is the base
of candy bars, I don't think we can. We need
to find another word besides salad for this. I don't
know what is it? Is it a Snicker's par fay?
That sounds more appropriate, That sounds more.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Appropriate for short.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I wonder if this became a thing because people had
left over Halloween candy.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, and they're like, what could we do with this?
Let's make a salad.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Out of it?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, absolutely, Well, whether or not this is a salad
is certainly a more fun debate than politics at the
table this year. Hey, look at that our sunny story
of the day coming.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Up next to you. Anna what you got?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Well, when more.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Than one hundred students trade in textbooks for tool belts.
You know something exciting is how in the Valley. We'll
tell you all about it in today's Sunny Story of
the Day.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Sunny six point five.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
It is how we put a smile on your face
every morning. The Sunny Story of the Day with Joanna
and Sean. What's going on, Joanna?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So, today's story shines a light on the future of
Nevada's workforce. The Nevada State Contractors Boards Commission on Construction
Education just hosted its very first in the field trip
and it was a huge success. Now, more than one
hundred students from Southeast Career and Technical Academy and an

(02:35):
East Career and Technical Academy hopped on board to an
educational bus tour designed to open their eyes to real
world construction environments here in our city.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I love I love this.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I love anything that sheds a bigger spotlight on more
to the technical, more the hands on jobs that we
need to just make the everything work around us right.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Oya, because Vegas is growing and not stopping any time soon.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
And that's pretty much what the.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Goal was right to fire these bright young minds to
consider careers in the skilled trades. Now, these field trips
are what I just said, to inspire these students to
want to get up and be involved with the growth
of our community.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Love that just I'm a big fan of the trades
in general. So more attention the better.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Absolutely, Now, this program is definitely building a brighter future
literally for students in the valley. And if you think
maybe your student would be interested in something like this,
you can read more about it right now at Sunny
one of six five dot com and just click on
Sunny Mornings.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Now let's hear from Michelle, who.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Is celebrating a personal victory this morning.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Tell us all about it, Michelle, I feel.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Like I got a big victory.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
All right, So you know, regular life.

Speaker 7 (03:42):
I was in there washing the dishes and cleaning up
the kitchen after dinner, and oh my god, I noticed
that my wedding ring fell off and it was down
in the drain.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
And I couldn't reach it.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
So I had to do at handy work and.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
Take the pipe off under the sink and get my little.

Speaker 7 (04:00):
Vaccine and get it out.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
But I got the ring all right, got the ring back.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yes, what a happy ending I would I couldn't do
it myself. If you're better, you're a bigger man than
I am.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Michelle to turn to you do right Sunny Mornings with
Joanna and Sean on Sunny one six point five.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Joanna and Sean on Study one was six point five.
Now you do not have to be, you know, a
millionaire to have fun with Formula One weekend and the
Grand Prix coming up here. There's actually a whole bunch
of stuff that's family friendly happening all over the family
all over the valley that is either free or low cost.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
A lot of it kicks off today. So starting today
through the twenty third at the Encore at when Las Vegas,
you can try your hand as a pit crew member
with the Red Bull Pit Stop Challenge.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
So that's kind of amazing.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
And then while you're there and if you want to,
you know, see what it's like to be a pit
crew member, you'll also be able to check out some
of the show cars that will open daily at two pm.
And it's totally free to attend the Red Bull Pit Stop.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yeah, I would be tear doble at being a pit crew member.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
You can also if you want to be down in Henderson,
there is an official Grand Prix watch Party at Water
Street Plaza and that is also free to attend.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Love that.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Fans of all ages can check out a variety of
play zones where you can build and race, and that's
going to be happening at the Lawn at Downtown Summerland Now.
That kicks off tomorrow through the twenty second and runs
daily from eleven to seven and again totally free.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
And finally, if you want to test out your driving
skills in a simulator, you can head to the Formula
one Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix and that's at the
T Mobile store on the Strip. You can drop in
that simulator also enter to win tickets too.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Hey, that's pretty nice.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
We'll get that whole list for you up at Sunny
one of six five dot com, plus some other stuff
that we just did not have the time to squeeze
in there.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, lots of free, lots of family friendly, and lots
of funny. And speaking of funny, the Sunny Funny is
coming up.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yeah, you're not gonna believe what one restaurant chain has
dreamed up as a Thanksgiving giveaway. And I want it
in my house. You might not want to in yours.
But it is worth hearing about six.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Selling when I was six ploining five.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Las Vegas is official Christmas music station. Good morning, It's
Joanna and it Sean and this, I guess.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
You can call it a no side item condiment.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Cannot be forgotten at Thanksgiving, and you found the perfect
way to put a spotlight on it this year.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yes, so you know Firehouse subs famous sub chain founded
by firefighters. Of course they've created the ultimate Thanksgiving gadget
and I want one so bad. It is a gravy
filled fire extinguisher, Joanna, It looks so real. I think
the big problem here, Joanna, is that you were almost
in danger of grabbing the gravy fire extinguisher if a

(06:43):
real fire does break out in your kitchen. This thing
looks like the real deal, but like instead of foam,
you're firing gravy all over the place, all over that turkey,
like you're trying to save a life or something like that.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Honestly, the gravy is like one of my favorite parts
of the feast, and so if we.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Can have some fun with it, why not?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Or if you know, I'm mad at my uncle's scortam.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
In the face, look the cheesy Dad and me will
do anything for a laugh at the table. I would
one hundred percent like break this thing out and clank
it on the table as I'm carving the turkey, just
so everyone is ready for what's about to happen. It
is cheap too. It's twenty bucks. It holds two leaders
of gravy, Joanna. That's a lot, and here's a nice
silver lining. Every dollar goes to the Public Safety Foundation

(07:28):
to help first responders.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
So whether your bird.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Is a masterpiece or a five alarm mess, you can
still bring the drama and the gravy this Thanksgiving. So
there we'll put pictures and links up to get one
if you want for your own Thanksgiving festivs up on
Sunnywinter sixty five dot com.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yep, big coming up.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Soon is the Sunny Window six point five name drop
at seven forty, So get signed up right now at
Sunnywindow six five dot com.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Five Sunny Window six zo point five. It's Joanna and
Sean with something I have quickly come to look forward
to every morning. It's our Entertainment Report with Joanna Joe
in the know what's going on.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Well, let's kick it off with some shocking red carpet drama.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I think a lot of us saw that Ariana Grande
had a red carpet incident recently, where a man who
rushed Ariana Grande on the Wicked for Good premier carpet
in Singapore caused quite the stir.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
You saw that, right, Oh, a bum rushed her? Was scary?

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, well that gentleman, I shouldn't say gentlemen. That rude
individual was sentenced to nine days in jail. And of
course the hero in the story was Cynthia, who stepped
in to shield Ariana during that shocking moment. I mean,
what a scary, scary moment for any celebrity.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
The protector. I want her to be my bodyguard right now.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
This guy, if you didn't know, has also done this
with the weekend End Katie Perry. So to me, nine
days in jail doesn't seem like enough.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Nah, stack it up?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah for real and luckily no disruptions.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
At the recent Governor's Awards where Tom Cruz received an honorary,
Oscar delivered a very emotional speech saying making films is
not what I do. It's who I Am, so a
big congrats to Tom this morning Seon yep, And for
Yellowstone fans, the Yellowstone Universe expands now. CBS just announced
Why Marshals This is the new spinoff starring Luke Grimms

(09:18):
as Casey Dunton, premiering in March of next year. Now
it's going to explore high stake manhunts, family drama, all
the stuff that Yellowstone Yellowstone.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Fans come to expect.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
How much more can this show expand? I'm gonna have
to start watching this at some point.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It's such a massive hit.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I have no doubt that the spinoff is going to
be a hit as well. And that's your Joe and
the Note Report giving you the highlights for all things
sound screen and stars.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
SNY one six five.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
What's a Bizarre Reason a Friendship Ended in Your Life?
Seven oh two seven nine six one oh six five.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
It's Joanna and Sean and a wedding drama is now
going viral thanks to Reddit.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Look, a bride has dropped her best friend from her
wedding lineup after learning that she's pregnant.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Okay, so I need more context here, So I mean
it can't just be like, you're pregnant, I don't want
you around.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Right, So the bride says that she didn't want her friend,
who's going to be eight months pregnant at the time
of the wedding, to stress over dress shopping or having
to stand at the altar. So she is saying it
kind of like in a nice helpful way. But the
friend is not taking that because she's actually offended that
she has.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Been demoted to honorary bridesmaid.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Are there's some cross lines there for sure? So basically
what you're telling me is that this friendship has ended
over this.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Basically.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, people are actually kind of split about this. Some
people said the bride was actually being very thoughtful, and
others really thought she.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Was being unfair.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Okay, well we got Ellen who's been holding for a second.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Is there a bizarre reason and a friendship has ended
in your life too, Well, I think it's bizarre.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
They thought it was normal.

Speaker 8 (10:57):
It's kind of relates to what you guys were talking
about with having a baby. So I had these two
girlfriends who we were sick as thieves from the time
we were single until the time we all got married,
and then they both ended up getting divorced, but I
had a baby and it was all around the same time. Well,
they dumped me because I couldn't go to the club

(11:20):
every weekend and I couldn't go on girls trips with
them and everything. They totally dumped me.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
It was terrible.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
No, that is terrible.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
And it's like, you know, you had a baby, you
moved on, but you can still keep friends. Some people
don't know how to do that balance though.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
It's tough for some people, right, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
And like eventually I can go out with you again, right,
you know.

Speaker 8 (11:40):
When I'm nursing a baby or whatever.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
You understand that.

Speaker 8 (11:44):
Yeah, it was sad.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
It was sad.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
It is Yeah, it's bizarre on their part, right, chalk
it up to that was a chapter in your book
that's now closed.

Speaker 8 (11:54):
Right, exactly, shallow like you kind of learn who your
real friends are.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Absolutely well, thank you for sharing that, Allan. We appreciate
the call this morning.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
You're welcome. I love listening to you guys.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Thank you, Thank you. Wake Up with Sunny Mornings with
Joanna and Sean.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
I'm Sunny one six point five.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Good morning, It's Joenna and Sean, which is why we
were asking the question this morning, what's that bizarre reason
your friendship maybe end in seven oh two seven nine
six one six'.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Five look to be fair to the bride, HERE i
understand where she was coming from on, this, saying, look you're.
PREGNANT i don't want you to distress about my wedding
and have to take on this all this. Responsibility.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
RAN i think the right way to have done this
would have been, Like, HEY i know you're going to
be eight months pregnant on my wedding. Day are you
comfortable participating as a? Bridemaid not just cut her off
and then make it seem like you're doing her a.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Favor, no you asked her in the first. Place you
guys are supposedly best. Friends have a.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
CONVERSATION i sometimes forget about the power of a, Conversation.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Jenny good.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Morning is there is there a bizarre reason that someone
has kind of like stopped talking to you and in your?

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Life what was that all?

Speaker 5 (12:58):
About, Yeah, so.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
A couple of years, AGO i was it was my
twenty fifth birthday AND i was trying to, plan you,
know a party with me and my friends and, everything
and my one FRIEND i texted, her called her no,
response AND i finally went to my ex boyfriend but

blah like you, know, defending and he reached out to
her and was, like you, know like this isn't very
cool of you Because jenny's like always there for. You
she like it's her, birthday this is finally it's something for,
her like it's time for you to show up and
be a good. Friend and then she texted me and was,
like why is your boyfriend calling me and texting? Me
he's like you need to set him in his. Place

(13:45):
And i'm, like what did he? Say and she told.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Me i'm like, WHY i agree with.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
Him and then she just, like, well then you know,
what this friendship's.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Over that's we'll come to your. Birthday. Jenny how does that? Sound?

Speaker 8 (13:55):
Okay sounds?

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Good, well it sounds like it sounds like you're better
off without, Her.

you know when it's about a boyfriend Or, yeah it
can get.
