Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, the next best thing to being rich, Joanna,
is just pretending to be filthy rich.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Yeah, sure is nice to pretend sometimes.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Sunny mornings at Joanna and Sean on sunny one to
six point five. So my wife and I Joanna, we
recently went out without the kids. My parents were watching them, okay,
and after our lunch, we decided to walk into a
really expensive furniture store and just walk around in daydream, right,
see what it would be like. Sure, we got confronted
by a salesperson and immediately we both switched gears. And
(00:29):
then we're both filthy, stink and rich and we're talking
about you know, our new house is bigger than our
old one. We got a little more square footage to
play with, and oh my god, we got treated like royalty, Joanna.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Did you really get treated better?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
You think, oh, one hundred percent. Yes.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
We had dressed up nicely for our date out, you know,
so we were taking the thing a little bit more seriously.
But I mean they escorted us around the room and
they handed us glasses of champagne and.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
It was like, you got the aquapana, the evy on waters,
the fancy stuff.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yes, I'd like the kind of place that sells a
fifteen thousand dollars outdoor umbrella, you know what I mean. Wow, Yes,
And we were saying things like, wow, this would look
great in the foyer.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
You know, a little fancy on the tones.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Right exactly exactly. So let's take a call here, Maggie.
Can you tell us about a time you pretended to
be rich?
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Yes, so, I.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
Mean we've done it a couple of times, because that's
kind of how we pass our weekends. We looked at
all these like multimillion dollar homes and here we are
driving up in our like two thousand and five onto
car whatever to meet the real litter. But yeah, and
then they were like the real litters like.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Oh yeah, here's where we like contact me with any
questions you have whatever.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
And we're like, oh yeah, of course, like our lawyers
will talk to you.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
And stuff like that. Yeah, and we never obviously did
anything with those home with that home right.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Awesome. Thank you for the call, Maggie.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
By the way, it's the last day for you to
win your way into the disney Land resort, so sign
up right now at Sunny one.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Remember that show back in the day, Robin Leech?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Oh yeah, how could you forget it? Right?
Speaker 4 (02:18):
So iconic and even though most of us will never
experience that level of filthy richness, sometimes it's fun to pretend.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's an amazing how much better you get treated when
you do pretend honestly?
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Wow, yes, m well my again.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
My wife and I took a little trip into an
upscale store and pretended to be millionaires looking to remodel
our estate.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
It was a it was a blast.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Can you give me a hint at what store you
went into?
Speaker 3 (02:43):
It was in uh Tivoli Village. I leave it at that.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
I was gonna say, there's a lot of very high
end stores there.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yes, got it.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
So you're not you're not buying anything from there anytime soon?
Speaker 3 (02:53):
No, no, no.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
They gave us a catalog and I said, I will
put this right in my Kia.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I don't think you're the only one who pretends that.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Alyssa, tell us about a time you pretended to be
filled the wrench.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
This is so good and this will never happen to
us again. Emily had planned a trip to the Dominican
Republic and so it got canceled, of course when COVID hit. Sure,
So the following year, this resort in the Dominican Republic,
our travel agent called and she said, okay.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
They are going to give you a three bedroom suite.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
With a butler. Acted like we were all that and
we had a really cheap vacation. But nobody would have known.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Butler too.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Butler, this guy would bring us anything we wanted, like
if my kids were like more coke and we'll take
some mac and cheese, he would get it brought up.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
It was insane live in that life, and no better
way to do it than on vacation, right right, Ye, we'll.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Never forget it as an epac. We love that, Lissa,
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Sometimes the best way to start your Friday is with
a little feel good magic.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
It's Juanna and Sean right here on sunny when I.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Was six point five. We're feeling good because the studio
is fully decked out in Christmas and we flipped yesterday, yes,
but not top music, but that's in a good mood, right.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh yes, holidays are already here on sunny save our number,
by the way, seven oh two seven nine six one
six five. You can use that for a whole lot
of different things. But right now we're going to talk
to Hey.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Who is this?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
By the way, Hi, this is Veronica.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Hey, Veronica, good morning. What's your feel good Friday news?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
I finally got my extras tattoo removed from my body.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Love that.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Yes, indeed, woo woo. It's been too long and I've finally.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Shaved up enough money and it's finally gone and no
more reminder.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
Because I'm over him. But that was the last bit
of detail that there was still a reminder and now
it's gone.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, no, I get that, because look, there was there
was a time where you probably thought like this is
this is gonna be a great idea. You're all lovey dovey, right,
but it's a little memento that I'm sure you want,
like wanted off your body.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I'm so happy. Yeah, well we're so happy for you, Veronica.
That is definitely something to celebrate on this feel good Friday.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
You got anything you're feeling good about here?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I am feeling good that I have not one plan
that I committed to this weekend.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
I need a break, Sean.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
I was like looking ahead at the rest of November
and December and I'm like, oh my gosh, there's so
much going on.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
But this is like my one.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
And only weekend where I have nothing on the calendar and.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I am living it.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Joanna said, give me a break, yes, and I'm going
to get it.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
You're like a kit Cash immersial.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
This is Sunday Mornings with Joanna and Sean on Sunny
one oh six point five.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
One of the Valley's most magical holiday traditions is lighting
up hearts once again starting tonight to Glittering Lights at
the Las Vegas Motors is back for its twenty fifth season,
and it's going to be brighter than ever before.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Now, starting tonight through January fourth, you can.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Cruise through three miles of pure holiday joy, featuring over.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Six million twinkling lights and.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Yeah a lot right, and over seven hundred and fifty
dazzling displays. Now this year, new favorites include larger than lights,
Elf on the Shelf, which is kind of cool, and
a glowing tribute to holiday movies from Rudolph to The
Grinch and so much more. But the real holiday magic.
A portion of every car pass supports children, speedway charities,
(06:39):
among other nonprofits here in the valley.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Now.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Last year alone, Glittering Lights gave back over five hundred
thousand dollars to schools, community programs and partners like Toys
for Tots and Goodwill of Southern Nevada and more. So,
grab the family, hop in the car and make some memories,
all while giving back to the community this holiday season.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
And that's your sunny Story the day.
Speaker 4 (07:00):

five dot com and click.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
On Sunday mornings now.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
A lot of people are experiencing the open enrollment period
right now at their job, and Kimberly has some good
news to share on this Friday.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
I got some great news. I had to go get
a physical for my life.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Insurance and although I tried to.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Lose weight, but it didn't really work.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
But the nurse helped.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Me out and she added some height and dropped some
towns and I got a good reef based on that,
so I'm awful.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Oh she's gotta be Liker your bff now.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
Uh oh bsfffl So we all need a nurse like that, Kimberly,
thank you for sharing.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
An Happy Friday, Sonny, weemer six point It looks like
many of us out there we're putting up more Christmas
trees than ever before. Good morning it's doing in Sean
right here on the sunny one was six point five.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
And let's start with you, Sean. How many trees are
you putting up in your household this year?
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I mean one if I'm lucky. Have you seen the
costs of Christmas trees lately? This is Christmas tree propaganda
we're spreading right now, Like I don't know where this
study is coming from. This is all being pushed on
us by Big Christmas Tree.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Big Christmas Tree farm, right, yes.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Uh huh, Well I will admit this.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
There are going to be two in my house this year.
And I think I told you this last year. I
started a Disney Christmas tree. Yeah, That's what I'm very
proud of. Right, So two is where I'm at.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
But according to a new poll, it says that forty
of Americans will decorate three or more.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Trees this year.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Again, where is this survey being This is in Billionaire's
Weekly magazine. I don't know who's got real Christmas tree money.
We were actually debating splurging on a fake Christmas tree
that we would invest in, you know, on a nice
one that would last us for years. But we are
hosting Christmas this year, so now it's like, well, now
we got to get a real one.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
If we're hosting Christmas tree.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Have that smell in the air. Now, look at this too.
Over half of us.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Say that we'll spend more time and money decorating and
lighting up than we.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Have in years past.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Our trees alone will take about four hours to put
up and decorate, and people are just spending more time
and more money on holiday decorations, which is just surprising
to me because of how much we talk about, how
much we see in terms of how the economy is
doing right now.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Just surprises me that this is going to be one
of the biggest Christmas years ever.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Look, I have shared my dirty secret about Dollar General
being a great place to get cheap holiday decorpse. I
totally understand spending more and doing more decorating in the home,
but Christmas trees themselves pricey, very pricey.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, it also looks.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Like the average day to put up a Christmas tree
is coming up December fifth, a little bit of time
to decide if you're going to have one.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Or two or more trees, or just buy the three
dollars Christmas tree spray on Amazon and make it smell
like a forest in your house.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I like that idea.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Wake up with Sunny Mornings with Joanna and Sean.
Speaker 6 (09:57):
On Sunny one, I was six point five.
Speaker 4 (09:59):
Well, yeah, yesterday we slipped to non stop Christmas music.
Right now we're flipping on the positivity with a feel
good Friday seven two seven nine six six five.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Good morning, It's Joanna and Sean. Sean, what's got your
feeling good on this Friday?
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Well, my kids are getting a double dose of their
grandparents this week.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
My parents were in town. They just went back to Florida.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
My wife's parents come in to town late tonight, and
I'm going to spend a couple of days spoiling their grandkids.
Speaker 3 (10:25):

beautiful weather weekend too. Let's keep the positivity going. Kate's
been on hold. Good morning, Kate. What's your feel good
Friday news?
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Well? I am so excited because I got all my
Christmas preparations already.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
They're all off ay, just like us. It doesn't matter
that it's in November, right.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
I know I'm way ahead of schedule, but I did.
Speaker 6 (10:59):
I took them out and I wil you know, I'm
just gonna put them off.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
We love that.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
But did you turn on the lights? Are they lit?
Speaker 6 (11:08):
No?
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
That I will wait until Thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Okay, and then I, you know, I take them down
and like Marks.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Mark's, the neighbors love you, I'm sure, and the h too, exactly.
