Speaker 1 (00:00):
Stirring the pots one morning at a time. Welcome, Welcome
to the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Okay, did you go Tricker Caters for Halloween? Neither.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
I had to help my go into our new apartment.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I sat on my front porch and waited. Not a
single trigger trader.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Why not a single one. I don't know if you
know this or not.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
You live out in the backwoods, freighting out of my house.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
My house looked so awesome, and I was so ready
I had I had Ghostbusters and the Monster mash blasting.
I was like, this will attract the kids playing ghost music.
I was like, this will make them come so that
they could get candy. I was sitting with my bucket
of candy so ready.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I want to say this. You live in like the
hills have eyes territory.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Now the hills have eyes territory.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
That's what it feels like when you go there.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
For it's just rednecks. I live in redneck country.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
To you, yes, to new people, they're gonna be like,
oh my god, how do we get out of here?

Speaker 3 (01:06):
We shouldn't have been here in the first place.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Anyway, Well, I'm glad you had a good weekend. You
feel good from the time change.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Do you remember that?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
No, I didn't notice until I was already at church yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I never remember the time changing on Halloween weekend, so
everybody forgot that the time changed because we were so
focused on Halloween. And now a Christmas movies are out
on Netflix. I'm so confused about this weekend.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
I am slightly excited, but also we still got Thanksgiving
to go through.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I know we went through so many emotions this weekend.
It's bipolar. Anyway, Happy Monday, Good morning, thank you for
being here. All the fun things that are on the way.
But you can call anytime. Eight three three five oh one.
BAMA is the number. Good morning, It's what the hell headlines?
What the hell are you talking about? On the Alabama Show,
a woman was accidentally shipped body parts instead of her medicine.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Why mistake. I guess this is.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
The stuff made of nightmares. I cannot handle it. A
Kentucky woman got human arms and fingers in a mail
package last week. They say it was an accident, so
they got shipped back to the corner. And he said this,
like body parts are usually shipped for like transplant procedures
or research purposes, But why were they using arms and fingers.

(02:25):
What the hell is going on?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
This is? This is getting out of hand.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Well, anyway, she sent them back. Hopefully she'll get her
meds this week.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Super Easy Trivia with the Yellabma show You are my
contestant today and Super Easy Trivia producer Blake.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
All right, let's play.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
If you would like to win tickets to Homestead Hollow
a family four pack for Christmas in the country, you
can still call it in eight three three five oh one,
BAMO will give you those. We're doing Christmas Trivia today
since Christmas is just thrown up everywhere. Okay, now the
Halloween it's over. We're all ready for that, even Mariah
Carey's ready. All right, Producer Blake. Question number one, which

(03:06):
one of Santa's reindeer has a glowing red nose?

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Rudolf?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Rudolph?

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Next one, what is the popular holiday drink made from eggs,
milk and sugar.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
And the Noga eggnog?

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Okay, eggnog?

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And what food is left out for Santa on Christmas Eve?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Cookies and milk?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
That would be congratulations, buddy. You just want super eazy trivia.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
That's all I needed today.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
If if you still want to get these tickets to
Homestead Hollow called the show eight three three five one
Bama is the number.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
It's three things you need to know The Elemma Show.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Birmingham is partnering with Christian Service Mission to collect food
for food banks within the city. This is a big
deal because with the government shut down, a lot of
people don't have snap benefits right now. So food collection
days are going on right now through Thursday, seven thirty
am to four pm at Christian Service Mission on Third
Avenue South. They need things like canned food, box cereals, soup,

(04:18):
nutrition bars, oatmeal, box food and toilet paper and paper towels.
So if you have extra now is a great time
to go donate. There is some Stranger Things drama, drama, yes,
and I Oh, I'm very Millie Bobby Brown filed harassment
and bullying complaints against co star David Harbor before filming

(04:42):
the show's fifth season. According to Daily Mail, Millie Bobby
Brown is who plays Eleven, David Harbor is who plays Hopper.
Their characters are very much entwined on the show. He
adopted her in like her dad. She is filing harassment
charges like and bully. None of them are like essay

(05:03):
or anything. It's just harassment.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah, So does that mean is this gonna affect anything
or is this.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
After the show?

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
She filed it before the fifth season started filming, so
according to a source, there are pages and pages of accusations.
The investigation went on for months. Internally. We don't know
what came out of it, and Netflix has declined to comment.
But the fifth season's coming out, so we'll just look
out for any awkward scenes. I don't know. They play
great together, So I don't know how I feel about this.

(05:31):
I'm real upset about it. Nike just created motorized footwear
to help casual runners and walkers. This is not made
for elite runners. This is made for people who want
a little extra help to run. It's like this ankle
thing that goes around your ankle, and it's supposed to
help you move better with less effort.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
So these are just like those old school Healey's.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
No no, no no. It's like a motorized part of
your shoe that goes to your ankle. They say it's
like having an extra set of calfs and it will
help you move faster. Right, now it's been tested on
like four hundred casual runners. It's not available to the
public to buy yet. That'll be in the next couple
of years.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
This is this is weird.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah, we're in the future. That's three things you need
to know more at the Alabama Show dot com.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
You were listening to the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
On Man, if somebody is getting on your nerves, now's
your chance to call the show and complain about them.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
YESABA is eight.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Three three five I one Bama is the number. That's
why we do ask Alabama. Actually, it's hopefully we get
you some advice to my eight three three five oh
one two two sixty two Jesse. Who is the person
that is driving you nuts right now and getting on
your nerves?

Speaker 5 (06:46):
My ex?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
What is your ex doing? I'm listening.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
He just comments on every photo I put online. We
broke up two no, not quite two years ago, a
year and a half ago, and there's this a photo.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
And it's it sounds snarky, but maybe it's not.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
And I just read into it and it and I
hate it and I want to block him.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
What was the photo and what was the comment?

Speaker 7 (07:14):
Just photos like me and my friends or like I.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
Went to go see a movie the other night, and
I posted a photo out in.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Front with my friends.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
It's girlfriends, not even guys, And he'll make a comment
about like the dress I was wearing, like, oh, still
rocking that red baby doll dress.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
So it's like a barn it's a but yeah, because
we've had a conversation about how like the dress was
stupid and I.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Don't like it, but I also, like don't want to
buy new clothes, so I'm just gonna use it.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
It was nice.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
You can't rocket, It's none of his business.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Was it a bad exactly?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Was it a bad breakup? It was?

Speaker 7 (07:52):
It was drawn out for a while, but it got okay.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
At first it was bad.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Yeah, it might still be bad for him. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Are either of you seeing somebody new now? Are either
of you in any relationship? No?

Speaker 6 (08:06):
I mean I've been on dates and he knows that,
but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I don't talk to him.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Except for this is the only communication we have.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
He comments on my photos producer, Blake, what do you think?

Speaker 4 (08:18):
So I don't know if you know this or not.
There's a button on social media that says block she said.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
That's what she said. She that feels petty. Well, when
he's doing his petty I'm on Blake's side this time.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I think you like.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
What's the point, What is the point letting him see
your life and ruin your day? And if you want
to rock the dress, rock the dress? Him say, doing
a petty comment that's passive aggressive. He's miserable.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
You're right, but it feels like he wins if I
block him, like he knows it bothered me.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
You know, trust me, he is not the winner here.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
You are the winner.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Call Good Twin, Good Twin. Are you still friends with
your exes on social media? Call the show? Eight three

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Hey, I'm not an ex, but I'm jealous, so.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
I hate It's crazy mowing up. I had to shut up.

ho in a hot take. I actually still share custody
of a dog with my ex.

Speaker 8 (11:24):
We were together for eight years and our dog is
a senior like I had him prior, and then throughout
the relationship he grew attached to him as well. So
now he's eleven and we just neither one of us
wanted to part ways without the dog.

your ex in new relationships?

we've broken up, now, you know, obviously at first we
kind of had to give it.

Speaker 7 (11:57):
Time to navigate everything.

Our current partners is perfectly fine with it.

Kelly Osbourne's son recreated the viral bat moment that Ossie did.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
I saw that that is that was so funny.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
It's so cute, not with a real beat. He was
wearing a skeleton costume. He had a bat stuffy and
then she posted this clip on our TikTok over the
weekend and it has gone viral. So if you want
to go see that version, go to Helly's TikTok. And
we all know what happened in real life with Ozzie,

work computer. And Mariah Carey has officially launched holiday season

was so excited. I woke up at seven am and
went to Home Depot because I was gonna buy some
Halloween stuff half off. The day after, It's like there
never even was a Halloween section. Everything was gone and
all the Christmas trees were up. It was like Christmas exploded.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Oh yeah, if you haven't been a home Depot in
the past, like two to three weeks, they've been gone

You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
is fun.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Demand you now you're going to get court today?

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Did you Producer Blake?

Speaker 5 (15:19):
I did not.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Welcome to the Alabama show here in court time the
judge Alabama producer Blake the plaintiff or actually you might
be the defendant.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
What you did?

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Would you lose of your girlfriends?

Speaker 4 (15:33):
I don't know if I lost it, but it is
a good chance I might have lost a Christmas gift
to one of our friends.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Why did you have it?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Was it a Christmas gift that she bought?

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Correct for somebody else?

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Why did you have it?

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I didn't have it, but I was helping move stuff
and I think I either broke it or it went missing.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
How do you think you broke it?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
I can't find it. Yeah, what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (15:58):
You think you broke it? That means you heard something shatter?
Was it glass?

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (16:03):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (16:04):
You know, I think you know?

Speaker 5 (16:05):
So.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
He's making a face at.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Me like that right now picking my loss. Does it
mean you threw it in the trash?

Speaker 3 (16:11):
I did not. I literally could not find it. I
don't know where it is.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
What was it?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
It's some sort of ring.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
It has like a frog on it, and I don't know.
I don't know where it is.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
All I know is and.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
How do you know if you accidentally broke it or not?
How do you know what it was.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
If she hears this, one will be so much struk.
We're calling her after this. She so, I'm pretty sure
I heard it hit the ground, and it made like her,
how do you know you heard?

Speaker 2 (16:40):
How do you know that's what it was that hit
the ground because.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
She saw it though, because exactly where she said it
was is where that thing fell to the ground at
and I went up.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
So what you're saying is you broke something that your
girlfriend bought for a friend to give her as a
Christmas gift, and you're trying not to say anything about it.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
There's no guarantee that it broke.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
You said anything to your girlfriend about it.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
I helped her look for it. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Okay, what when y'all got to her new apartment when
you moved in, did she say where is this? And
you were like, I don't know?

Speaker 3 (17:13):
As she said it was here.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yes, you didn't tell her you heard the crash.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
No, I didn't say anything.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Why would I want to tell her myself?

Speaker 5 (17:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
If there's no no, then there's there's no reason to
get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
He's gonna be spending all week looking for this, and
you didn't tell her that you dropped it and broke it.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I don't know if I dropped it and broke it,
but you have an idea.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
We've heard a crash. So what I'm saying is you
pumping to the table where it was.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
I was holding the rug of hers and it fell,
and I said, and I didn't think anything bad. I
thought it was just some like miscellaneous thing. Then she goes, hey,
have you seen the ring that was sitting right here?

Speaker 3 (17:54):
That's when it all went down. We're calling her, don't
call her.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Have you ever.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Accidentally lost something of your spouse's Eight three three five
oh one Bama is the number.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
You're listening to the Alabama Show.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Dem We are Colin Producer Blake's girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
So that's her number.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Hello, Hayleace, No, hey Alabama, how are you?

Speaker 5 (18:19):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (18:20):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (18:20):
So? Producer Blake has confessed something to me this morning
that he has not quite yet told you that he did,
and he is currently very afraid of what the repercussions
are going to be. Okay, is there something that you
have lost in your apartment this weekend over the move

(18:42):
that you've been looking for.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
It's really random, but I've lost a little.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
It's a frog green yep? Have you have you found it?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
No?

Speaker 7 (18:56):
Did Blake do something?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Okay, so you're still looking. Well, Blake, what what is
the story that you told me?

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Okay, so yesterday or the other day when you said, hey,
can you move this? And I said, hey, I think
I dropped something. I think that was the ring, but
I can't find it. I'm scared I lost it.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
He's more than scared that he lost it.

Speaker 8 (19:23):
What do you think I'm going to do to him?

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Hang on, wait a minute. What was the sound that
you heard?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
It could have possibly cracked. I don't know. I don't
even know if that was the ring.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
He heard something shattered, not shattered.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Look, all I know is I love you and and
I don't I don't know if that's even what it was.
And I told her not to call you. If that
makes you feel better, I told her I knew you
were busy.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Okay, it is. If I didn't call you, he would
have never fessed up that. He thinks that he's the
one that lost.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
I don't even know that was it. I'm just wanting
to get the details.

Speaker 9 (20:08):
He's not sure, but he thinks that he might be
the reason you can't find it.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
That's okay.

Speaker 8 (20:14):
It was only like three dollars.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, I've been taking this whole time. It was like
a fifty.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Dollars, you know, literally, I think I actually got it
for free because I thought it was lost in the mail.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
And they sent me a refund.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
You're fine, killing me.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
I've been stressed about this his whole time, thinking out
did something to it.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
You got it for free.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
He's been stressed about it. Told me, man, you're gonna
be mad at me.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
I know you were stressed all and I didn't want
to make you mad. You've been You've been going through
a lot, good plate yet.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Well, I just want you to have a lips into
what your future is going to look like with Producer Blake.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
At least I cared enough to wait. I will going
to tell you, but I forget. I have Alabama over here.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Well, we love you, elease, I love y'all. Glad you
made it into your new apartment. Thanks for letting us
Buggy welcome a bok.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
I love you, I love you.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
I think we need to get Producer Blake to confess
to his pastor. So we have Pastor Brian on the show.
Pastor Brian, I just there's something that Producer Blake did
this weekend that you should know about.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Oh so tell me boy.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
First off, tell Pastor Brian who you kept the secret
from all weekend?

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Okay, it was Elise, his girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Who also goes to church there. So you know Producer
Black's girlfriend of lace.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
I know her well.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
And what did you help her do this weekend?

Speaker 3 (22:07):
He knows. I've helped her moved to a new place
helter after move.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
And what happened in the process of moving.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
Okay, So she got a friend a gift of a
frog ring and she was worried for the past.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Few days where that ring went.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
We spent like an hour or two looking for it,
and I think I'm the one that lost it, and
I think it broke And.

Speaker 9 (22:30):
He knew he heard it crash and knew that he
lost it. And when a Lease started looking for it,
instead of telling her that he thinks he's the one
that lost it and broke it, he acted like nothing
happened and helped her look for it.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
No he didn't, Yes he did.

Speaker 7 (22:50):
Why would he do.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
So?

Speaker 5 (22:53):
Use Hey this is your call answer question.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Hey, he's a nervous throne of life.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
It wasn't a lot that is where a mission. I
was trying to find it because she's been stressed out over.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
This, so I was trying to be a nice guy
and let her get through the stress and then bring
it up.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
But you've made her stressed out more by letting her
look for it for an hour.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Wow, Like, what did she say to you were talking about?

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Well, we did just call her and I made him
fess up to her and she said, it's okay. It
was only a three dollar ring.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Yes, but it's the principle of the thing, That's what
I said.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
I think he needs to be in time out this
week at church. I think you need to write a
sermon about this.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
Oh my gosh, we should call him it from the
church and in publicly embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
If Producer Blake were a biblical character in this story,
who would he be? Would he be Judas?

Speaker 9 (24:02):
That is so strong?

Speaker 2 (24:08):
It's the knife fits.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (24:12):
If this were a commandment that we're broken? What's was
the closest to the Ten commandments that Producer Blake broke?
Now shall not lie?

Speaker 5 (24:20):
I think she's now ever hurt his girlfriend, at least
because she's wonderful exactly.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
I didn't hurt her.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
I was trying to be nice and little let it
a little bit of time pass away.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
She wasn't stressed and mad anyway.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
We just thought that, Pastor Brian, I'll give you some
time to think about how we should pray over Producer Blake,
and then you just give me a call back when
you're ready.

Speaker 5 (24:50):
We will thank you for bringing us to my attention.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Though it's free on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
If you missed it. On the show today, Producer Blake
kept a secret from his girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
I wouldn't say a secret, but yeah, it was a secret.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
So we called his girlfriend and told on him. Then
we called his pastor so that his pastor can write
a sermon about him later this week at church. And
if you missed all of that, you can go back
and listen to the Alabama Show on demand on the
free iHeartRadio app because we podcast every single show.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah, thanks for that.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
You are so welcome. Anyway, we're done, Enjoy the rest
of your day and we will see you tomorrow morning.

Speaker 1 (25:31):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
