Speaker 4 (06:31):
They have these shopping carts that are like shorter, but
they have a two baskets.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
One on top, one on bottom.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
And I went and.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Bought a bunch of groceries. And I bought a bag
of lemons and a bag of limes.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And I got to my car, I load my car,
I leave.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Well, for the past two days, I've looked everywhere for
the lemons and limes. I was like, I left them
in my shopping cart. So yesterday I go to the
grocery store, make a whole deal about it, like, pulled
up the receipt. I was like, I've looked everywhere for
two days. I've searched my car, I've searched my kitchen.
(07:09):
I cannot find them. I know I left them in
my shopping cart. And the lady was like, okay, go
grab a bag of linens and limes.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
So I do, and I hold them up. She's like
all right, just go.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
She lets me out the door. I'm like, okay, awesome, Okay.
So then yeah, and this is Whole food So is
a four dollar bag of limes and a four dollar
bag of limits, wasn't she?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
And I'll go home and there's a bag under my
kitchen table that I didn't see.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
And I look.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I was like, there's no way, and I pull it out.
The freaking linens and limes were there. I didn't leave
them at the grocery store. So I just scammed the grocery.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Store on accident out of an extra bag of livings
and lines.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
If you're listening, you know where the thief is.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
What do I do?
Speaker 8 (07:54):
Do I take the bags back?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Or do I just keep them?
Speaker 3 (07:57):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Wait, My conscience was like, do I need to pay
for these?
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Now?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
I've got two routes of advice for you.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
One you live this life forever, and you don't tell
another soul ever again.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Well the whole world knows.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Now, no, we keep this between us.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Okay, you don't.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Two, you go back and pay for the bag. I
go with option one. You don't say another thing to
another soul. I mean, they've got it is Whole Foods.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
It's four dollars for eight, that's eight dollars. They ain't
they got it?
Speaker 5 (08:23):
You got two dollars right now.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Leave it at that.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
You don't say another word, and we live happy ever
after knowing this, I haven't.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Said anything yet. I was like, this is going to
weigh on me.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I don't know what to do.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
I feel bad. I really do feel bad.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
You remember that one time he told me, you bought
a grave plot.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I never bought a grand well, whatever way, a great grandmother.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Either way, you have a grave plot. This is where
you're gonna take this.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
You don't talk about it to another soul besides me, You.
Speaker 4 (08:58):

all Christmas.
Speaker 9 (14:01):
I'm so excited. It's my favorite time of the year
and I love doing it. Some people like to wait
till after Thanksgiving and to each his own.
Speaker 8 (14:07):
I like it right after Halloween.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
I really think like this year in particular, it feels
like Christmas is quicker.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Like all the stores even before Halloween was here, all
had their.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Christmas stuff out. Yes, and Christmas music is playing everywhere.
I feel like, I don't know what it is about
this year, but we just want our joy a little
bit sooner.
Speaker 9 (14:27):
Yes, I agree, and it is. I feel like it's
about memories and traditions this time of year and this season,
and I think people are looking for something to sort
of like grasps too, and I think that Christmas music
and traditions is a way to do that.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
We get a lot of messages from ninety six to
five of like, flip the switch.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Flip the switch? Do you get any where? They're like,
when are you going to flip the switch?
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (14:51):
Yes, I have a couple of people some email one
one sweet guy emails me pretty much every month and
he knows it's going to be, you know, in November,
but I just have to say, keep waiting for it.
But in the summer July. I think there's a weekend
of like Christmas in July.
Speaker 8 (15:06):
And he's like, I'm ready for it.
Speaker 9 (15:07):
I'm like, okay, but it's not gonna happen right now.
So yeah, so they'll message me, and then, especially right
after Halloween, I get a lot of messages.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
And it's a hard secret to keep because we don't
really say.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Anything until the day off. I know, I know.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
Well, there's only one question that people have been wanting
to know. Okay, what's your favorite Christmas song of all time?
Speaker 9 (15:27):
Oh? Gosh, I do love Andy Williams, the one that
we start with every time, the most wonderful time of
the year. And I also like a lot of the
kids songs, like Frosty the Snowman. But I also like
being Crosby, Like I just it's all of them.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Christmas.
Speaker 9 (15:43):
I used to love that song about the shoes, the
Christmas shoes.
Speaker 8 (15:46):
That was so sad, but I loved it, but now
I can't. I don't know.
Speaker 9 (15:50):
It just it brings back so many like tears, so
I don't want to listen to that one.
Speaker 8 (15:53):
As much, but I do. I love it. It's sweet
and it's just I like that one.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
It's good. Well, Claire, we appreciate you. Thanks for flipping
the switch today. We couldn't do it without you.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
Well, I appreciate it. Y'all are awesome. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
You were listening to the Alabama Show.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Okay, we got to set the scene. Producer Blake. On Monday,
we found out had lied to his girlfriend about something
that he may or may not have lost or broke
in her apartment helping her move.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
That is correct.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Then he spent an hour helping her look for a
said ring that he already knew he may or may.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Not have broken her lost.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
That is also correct.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
He did not say anything to said girlfriend.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
You this, and then we called Producer Blake's pastor, yes, and.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
Explain the situation.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
We made Producer Blake confess to his pastor on Monday.
I just want to remind you this is what your
pastor said when we told him.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
What you did.
Speaker 6 (16:48):
Why would he need?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
And I know last night you went to church with
your girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Yes, how did that go?
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I'll be honest.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
Not much was said except for he kept making a
little digs at me and looking at me. You're in
the whole, they're in the whole lesson. He'd be like, like,
you know, sometimes you just gotta be better than the rest,
and he'd like stare at me.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
But no one in there knew but the you and
your girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
The worst part was I think he was telling other
people at church that weren't in our class, because people
kept bringing it up to me, saying, have you corrected?
Speaker 1 (17:27):
You're wrong.
Speaker 5 (17:31):
So he didn't really bring me up during the lesson,
but I think he was having a little like tea
party with all these people that kept coming up to me, going,
did you find the ring?
Speaker 3 (17:41):
I said, how do you know about this? About all this?
They're like yeah, They're like, you're on the radio.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
I said, you don't listen to me when you talk
about They're like, we heard.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
I hope your pastor plays the whole podcast. I hope
he plays that whole conversation with him at Sunday. Sermon,
Oh are you going on Sunday?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I go every day, Oh, I bet.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
He's gonna really do it on Sunday when more, when
the whole congregation is there.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
I'm starting to think that maybe it's more of an
inside job more than it is he's going to make
a public.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
What is What is your girlfriend say about it?
Speaker 4 (18:18):
Did y'all ever have a conversation because we also called
Producer Blake's girlfriend on the show.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
She just says, I'm stupid, which I'll be honest with you.
Point taking.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
You know, here on The Alabama Show, we're here to
help you grow, Producer Blake, because we know you're a
budding young man.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
One day you're gonna get married, and we're.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Helping you transition from college bro to married dude. I
like that.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Yeah, we'll let you keep the dude.
