day on a positive note. Six to ten weekday mornings
with the V ninety three Morning Show. It is a
big week in the bird world. If you have been
following the Big Bear Eagle Nest cam, you need to
grab the tissues. If you have not been, it's on

social media. If you need like a little tiny rabbit
hole or I guess eagle hole to go down, this
is the perfect one. One of the beloved Eglitz Sonny
has officially left the nest for the very first time.
For months, we have all been following eagle parents Jackie
and Shadow as they raise two surviving Eglitz Sonny and

Gizmo on a twenty four to seven live stream from
the Friends of Big Bear Valley. And on Sunday morning,
at exactly ten forty six am, Sonny spread her wings,
caught the wind and soared right into the wild blue yonder,
and of course the moment was all caught on camera.
Sonny takes a few test flaps. It's so cute. She

like flaps, flaps, flaps, gets up and just like hovers
and then like comes backward and like tries again. And
hovers and comes backward and then finally you can see
it just like sort of clicks and Sunny launches from
an upper wide branch, flying right past the family's favorite
roost tree, with her sibling Gizmo watching from the nest

like a proud little sister. The organization says she might
return to the nest. Maybe it's not uncommon, but from
here on out it's Sonny's journey to fly. Now wild
How quickly that happens. Yeah, Like, there wasn't a bunch
of It's just instinct, it's just nature. It's crazy because
it's not like there was a bunch of practice. Yeah right,
Jackie in Shadow were spotted back at the nest with

Gizmo the other eglet later that afternoon, probably proud parents
grabbing a wellern snack. But if you needed a little
reminder this morning that growth can be beautiful. Bravery starts
with one big leap. Sonny's got you covered, so you know,
flap those wings, take a few test drives, and then
out of the nest with you. Yeah, oh so cute.
