Speaker 1 (00:00):
Be ninety three morning show. I'm a Ali Mac and
a Mike. We're talking about jobs you don't think you
could ever do.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Today.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
I had a big tree taken down at my house
last week. Posted some pictures on my Facebook page. You
can find them at Ali Mac on air. I was
on the second floor of my house and this tree
was right in my front yard. I was looking up
at this guy who had to strap himself in climb
to the very top with a huge chainsaw. Oh yeah,
and like cut sections of this down. I mean the

(00:28):
operation itself was so impressive, like the efficiency, the quickness,
the organization of this team. I watched it all day
because I was like, this is wild, how fast they
can do this. Yeah, but that could never in a
nice fear of heights, I could never be that.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Guy, even just yeah even just the heights thing isn't up.
But well, you had the machinery and the tools and
the endless possibilities that could go wrong there.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
It's not for me either.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
You ever see someone doing something like that, like a job,
and you just think like, no, that could never be me.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah, absolutely, there is usually heights or small spaces is
what will get me.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Are you claustrophobic.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I don't think fully like not like where I have
a super big fear of it because I can go
into like we went to Tutsi's over the weekend. We
were in Nashville and we were in like a tiny
I mean, it's a tiny little bar and I'm like everybody.
It was packed, and I didn't get like weird there.
But if you go into like like cave divers, those
people that dive through the cave, yes, right, like it's

(01:42):
not just a hobby, that's their job, but they climb
through those tiny space like that kind of stuff freaks
me out.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
I could never do that.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Six one, six two four two ninety three naty three?
What is a job you could never do? Good morning
v natty three? Who's this ian? Where are you from?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Adam?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
What job could you never do?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
All right? So you ever watched that show The Dangers.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Jobs or whatever Dirty Jobs with micro dirty jobs?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah? Ye, yeah, okay, all right. So there was an
episode where the dude had to dress up in a
bees too and he had to get all the bees
and they was like stuck to him and whatnot. He
was still getting stung to the suit, but he had
like a thousand bees on him and he had to
like suck all the get the honey and whatnot for
the things. No, I can never can never do that.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, I don't know if I trust those suits either.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
I want to because I think I think obviously they
probably work if people use him, But I don't know
that I could trust them either.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I don't know. In the show, he was still getting stung. Yeah, nope,
that's almost like that's almost like going in the water
with the sharks and I don't trust you. Yeah, but
that those two jobs, those two jobs I would not do.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
That's a good point.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Thanks for the call this morning, Adam. Appreciate it. We're
talking about the jobs that you don't think you could
ever do. Today. Had a tree cut down, the guy
who climbs to the very top with the chainsaw. My
whole I was watching him do this from the second
floor of my house and I was looking up at
him and I was like, my whole body, I was

(03:08):
like nervous for him.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Yeah, that's one of those jobs. I U.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yeah, my knees buckle, But I've never actually climbed the
high on a tree ever.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Appreciate it. Respect you so much. Necessary job but yeah, no,
that's gonna be a no for me. Dog six one
six two four two ninety three ninety three, Good morning,
welcome to the.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
B ninety three Morning Show. What's your name and where
are you from? Good morning, and I'm from Dwajack.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
All right.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
What is the one job that you immediately go yep,
I could never do that.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I don't think I could ever like work in HR.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I don't think I've been handle, like deal with people
all day Like I'm a teacher now and I can
do kids.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Well you pretty much kids, it's kids HR.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, but adult HR.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I don't think I could handle. What don't you like?
Is it managing like basically adult kids?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Or is it the fact that that people don't really
like aren't really themselves around the HR people.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
So my mom's an HR director, so I hear these
crazy stories.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Like she really does, but like the drama.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I just can't handle. And I think like acting like
kids when you're a full grown adult.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
What's one job that you instantly go Nope, not doing that.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I could never be the deer share, which means picking
up dead animals on this side of the road. I
worked at Kent County Road commission for a summer.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, I thought this was good. I thought it was
gonna be my career. And then you have.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
To pick up deer off of this side of the road,
and it's always the guy who just started who has
to do it. And they had me do it like
three times, and it was raining and it was it
was nasty. So I agree with you a million percent.
That's instantly when I went and I don't want to
do that.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
What do they do with the deer after they pick
it up?

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Do you know they put it in the landfill? Yeah,
put in the back of the truck and they dispose
of it.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
I see. I wasn't sure if they were like doing
a big bonfire.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
No.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
And it's never like especially on the side of the road.
It's never like I mean you've seen a deer on
the side of the road. It's never a pleasant experience.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yeah, it's never like a tidy clean up.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
No, good morning.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
This isis from Kalama zoo URI's job. You could never
do you got one. Yeah, I could not be any
type of dentist or dental assistant. Putting your hands in
someone else's dirty mouth does not sound enjoyable.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
My wife loves it. My wife's a dental assistant, she
loves it. She I mean, you wear gloves obviously, but
I say the same thing.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Someone smile.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
But some people don't take care of their mouths.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yeah, that's the thing is, you're not. Nobody's usually outside
of routine maintenance. Like usually people are going there because
something's bad.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
So exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, thanks Terse. Appreciate the call today, of course, have
a great day you two. Bye.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
