Speaker 3 (00:16):
Man, it's just a cool, silly little thing.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
So to explain sort of what I would like this
to be is I feel like we all focus so
much on like the bad little things that happen on
a daily basis, myself included.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
This is the bad things that I do.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
This is what instead of focusing on, like, you know what,
I did the laundry today and I folded it right away.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
That's a win.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
That's a win. That's a win, and it's a simple one.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
So I want to hear everybody else's like, simple win,
whatever it big, small, whatever it is.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
You know what, this is a good opportunity to do.
What's that brag on your kids?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Oh there you go.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
If you don't have one for yourself, calling one in
for your.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Kids, it can be absolutely anything.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, Kino conferences have been own and strong for like
the last couple of weeks here, so yeah, yeah, there's
something in there.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Absolutely absolutely so mine this week is is something that
when I moved into my house in twenty twenty, I
noticed that the neighborhood. Every month we would get these
magazines from a magazine called Hudsonville Living, and it would
be like families in the neighborhood, like and it would

(01:26):
just be this introducing you to this family.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
So I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah, very cool, very And I'm like, since we moved in,
I would every time we'd get with I would go,
We're gonna be out there, We're gonna be out there.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
You just wait.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
My wife would laugh and we would read about the
neighbors and whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So we joked about it for I don't know five.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Years, and I think we mentioned it for like thirty
seconds one time on the air here and.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yeah, I feel like we've met. You mentioned it.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Like just quickly it was yeah, it was just in past.
And they reached out to me Hudsonville. Deanna fell Zone
from Best Living reached out to me, Oh, here it
is right here, look at flat look at who made
the cover of Hudsonville.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Great picture of you guys.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
They took Amanda Myers was the photographer, and she took
a bunch of like family pictures of us, but it's
a whole article on just like how much I love
living in Hudsonville. It talks about like waking up with
B ninety three in the morning, It talks about radios
on and everything coming up look at you well, you know,
you know, it talks about it talks about just kind

(02:33):
of like my family and kind of us and also
talks about radio and living in West Michigan, doing radio
in West Michigan, all those.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Sorts of things. But it's like a really really like
fun thing.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Like a simple win for me would be this this
week right, Yeah, because it's fun.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
It's gonna sit.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I might have asked for fourteen different copies to just
place them around the building here ock, yes you.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Did, like, yes, you did.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Go put that on every desk of every salesperson that
we work.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
With today, and it was it was.

Speaker 2 (03:04):

text this weekend and it was just a picture of
it was sitting on their coffee table or sitting on
their counter, and I'm like.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
We got it, we got it.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
You'r a household name, baby.

Speaker 2 (03:18):

you see this on somebody's coffee table, we'll post it. Actually,
let's post it at B ninety three dot com. Yeah,
let's do that so people can see it. And I
want to hear yours though. That's my simple one, right,
that's something that's like, it's not life changing, right, it's just.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Kind of cool, kind of fun.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yeah, everybody's got one, and I think we focus and
there is so much bad news.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
There's so much and we got to talk about everything, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
But like let's talk about to go along with ausesome
sauce because I do love awesome sauce.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I want to hear your win.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Do I have to do it personally or can it
be something else that I found joy in?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
You can do whatever you want to do.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Okay, I got one. This was not me, but yesterday morning.
This doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it
starts my day on. Not to steal the line from
Awesome Sauce, but such a positive note.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yesterday before I left for work, Jimmy got up early
and made me coffee before I left.

Not only for you, but Jimmy, well done.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
I know, yeah, it doesn't happen very often, but he
was just I must have woke him up. But to
be that nice when you have someone that wakes up
at an un godly hour, Yes, and to be like
you woke me up, but instead of being mad, I'm
gonna make you coffee.

focus on the bad things we do each week. I
myself included. I nitpicked myself. This is he could have
done this better. You could have did this and you
could have did this instead. Let's flip that and let's

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
