Speaker 1 (00:08):
What's going on, guys.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
It's Austin from ninety seven to five, WAMZ eight forty
WHAS News Radio and the baby Faces podcast here on iHeartRadio.
I'm here at the track at the backside. We're getting
ready for Kentucky Derby one fifty one. I'm here with
a couple WWE superstars, a world famous Natalian night Heart
otherwise known as Natali on WWE, and we got Max Seene,
(00:30):
both looking wonderful. I'm feeling underdressed. You guys look awesome
so far being out here, Like, have you guys thought
about trading in your wrestling boots for riding boots and
jockey silts?
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Look at that?
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Actually, my first question when we got here was like,
do we get to ride a horse?
Speaker 4 (00:44):
I was quickly shut down.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
But you wouldn't be scared of riding a horse, would you?
Because these things are huge.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
I love riding horses.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
I mean these horses like, might you know, might take
me out?
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
But I think if I, like, you know, I'm still
figure out the sharpshooter.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
But I think if I just you hear that the
sharp she's learning, well, she.
Speaker 5 (01:02):
Needs a little work on her sharp shooter.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Just a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Well, Derby one fifty one is all about refining your
skills coming out here and having a good time. Have
you guys, I know you've been here in Louisville for
OBW before. Have you ever been here to Louisville, Kentucky?
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I have? Okay, yes, So what are to be back?
What are your thoughts?
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I mean we're known for Kentucky Fried Chicken in the
Greatest two Minutes and horse which is the Kentucky Derby.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I mean just being here is out of this world.
I mean getting to see this sport is so cool. Absolutely,
and to get to just see everything coming together is
so special.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Absolutely, it's great out here. It's wonderful weather. Usually it's
kind of like you never know what kind of weather
we're gonna get here in the Ohio Valley. Well, here's
the thing. They've been pushing off the rain this whole week.
It's supposed to be nasty. I'm just terrified that comes Saturday,
it's gonna downpour on us all the time.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
So we brought the sunshine for you.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Are you guys gonna be here Saturday? Are you gonna
be here to watch a Derby or so you're just
getting it all out of the way right now, out of.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Our system today. But this is so great.
Speaker 6 (01:58):
We were talking earlier about how, you know, last week
we had WrestleMania, and of course that's when our entire
WWE community comes together from around the world, you know,
and we're WWE is global, and you feel the energy here.
This is kind of like the WrestleMania of horses. Absolutely,
Kentucky Derby is it's so cool, it's so special. It's
our first time here, but you really feel a sense
(02:18):
of community and family and people coming together and I
love that.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
So yes, it's just it's just a great energy.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I wouldn't say, I mean, Maxine, you're a little bit
still new and wrestling. I wouldn't say there's a better
partner to be traveling around here with Natalia. What would
you say is some of the best things that you've
learned from her? Obviously been on the road with her,
You've been featured in some backstage segments with her. I
know you guys took a shot at the tag team titles.
What do you think is a future? Well it didn't
work out too good, but you guys are still.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
New learned, learned, you know, I've I've learned so much
from Natalia, like from every spectrum from wrestling in the
ring to appearance, to packing, to schedules to literally everything.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
When you look at Mentalia and the eighteen.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Years she's had in this business, the six Guinness World Records,
the championships.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
The boat right, the best of all time?
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Who better to pick her brain?
Speaker 3 (03:11):
With a wealth of knowledge and her you know, she's
the third generation superstar.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
This is not just like something she fell into. This
is something that she fought for.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
And so to get to learn from her and to
get to just take a little taste of that, just
a tiny little taste, is going to help me leave
some bounds.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
And I know that absolutely. That's great to hear Natalia.
What's it like here and that you've been in the
business so long? And I mean, it's it's.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Crazy how you still look like you started.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Since day one. I don't know how, I don't know.
It's well, it's a superstar in you.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Maxine has recommended an incredible moisturizer, and so we're so young,
and you know, in all honesty, I love what I
do and I love working with women like Maxine who
you know, you bring such a fresh vibe and a
fresh energy to the women's division in WW.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
And she's she's you know.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
I was just texting actually with Naya Jacks because we
say Naya a little picture and Nya was like, oh,
you guys are so cute together, and and I was Nya,
I was like, you know, Maxine is so professional, she's
so polite, she's so driven, and that's everything that I
look for in somebody, you know, to work with. Now,
granted we're not quite a tag team yet. That's right,
(04:19):
showed up to TV with my my same outfit. She
was stalking my seams dress done. But I will say
we look really cute and we were trending worldwide that
day that we came in matching outfit. But I just
you know, that's the great thing about WW is getting
the chance to work with a lot of different women.
I've worked with over one hundred different women in my
career in wrestling, and so this is actually my twenty
(04:41):
fifth year since I started training in wrestling. I started
in two thousand. That was my very first like time
in the setting foot in the dungeon and learning how
to do this, and so I've worked with so many
great people from around the world, and I'm just I'm very, very.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Grateful absolutely why it's it's going to be exciting to
see you to perform play off everything on camera. I
kind of wanted to switch to you for a second.
I've been making a lot of waves also outside the
wwe went the blood Sport. Seems like you unleashed a
new side of yourself. Did you learn anything from going
to that promotion and kind of doing that whole thing?
Did you learn anything new about yourself?
Speaker 6 (05:15):
What's crazy is that I'm at the Kentucky Derby wearing
a bonnet, yes, and looks looking fabulous and a pair
of Louis Vuitton heels.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Nice. They are Louis.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
They are Louis, and they're not comfortable at all. But
that's fine. My right toe has no feeling left.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
It's all right. Who needs it.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
But that's the thing about what I That's what I
love about what I do, is that you know, I
had this opportunity at blood Sport, which I was saying
to Maxine earlier, It's like, you know, you can't tell
the world that you're great. You can't say I did
this and I did that and I want this and
I want that.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
You have to show them.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
And so that's what I've done, you know, in getting
the opportunity to do blood Sport, and.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Which was an incredible opportunity for me, I was able to.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
Put my work into play and to show everybody that
there is this side of me that has been awakened
and that I'm so ready to do so much more,
and that every single woman that's in WWE, and guy
too that's in our division needs to be hungry. You
cannot be in the greatest you cannot be in the
greatest entertainment company in the world and be complacent. You
have to be fighting at all times. And it's an
(06:25):
all encompassing job, which is it's not just about what
you do in the ring.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
It's how you carry yourself. It's how you look, it's
how you speak, it's how you.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
Project yourself and how you fight for what you believe in.
So that opportunity that I had at blood Sport.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Really kind of encapsulated that. And there's a lot more
of Natty.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
To come, yes there is, and kind of just branching
off of that, You're gonna find yourself in the NWA
Crockett Cup against ken Zi Page that NWA Women's World Champion.
I mean, what do you think that would mean to
your legacy and not only that but your family namesake.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
Well, I mean I.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Plan on being the NWA Women's Champion. It's something that
has a huge amount of prestige as far as you know,
Mildred Burke carrying that championship and it's actually named after her,
Billy Corgan has named it the Burke And so for
me to be to become the NWA Women's Champion, it
would be a massive honor, a huge feather in my
hat and of course something that I plan on doing,
(07:17):
even if I have to break Kensey Page's.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Ankles to do it. And I think I'm doing that.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Think about the photoshoot that I will have planned.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Oh, that's gonna be amazing. That's gonna be amazing. Imagine
imagine having a title on a Kentucky Derby horse.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
How cool would that be?
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Very pretty great answer, Natty, I'm gonna switch over to you, Maxine,
because I mean, just hearing all of that, the things
that you can accomplish, I'm very inspiring. I'm a really
big fan of you. I know you probably faced some
online criticism, words from outside that you can't control. I
think that you've grown a lot over your career and
especially your promo coming out after WrestleMania, and unfortunately, guys,
(07:53):
it was great. I was sitting there texting my co
host Billy, going, Dude, Maxine is killing it right now,
you can.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Totally tell it.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
How would you say that you're Eric, Well, thank you
so much. How would you say, I'm ax Seeing that
your character kind of has evolved over the last year.
I know that you've been honing your skills kind of differences.
Can you tell from now from where you started?
Speaker 3 (08:09):
You know, I think I'm just a lot more comfortable
in my skin, just with time and really just putting
in the works. It's been a journey. This has not
just been something that like I fell into it. It's
taken a lot of work and a lot of consistency.
And I just think the more people I'm with that
I get to learn from. Otis Tizawa, Natalia, he who
shall not be names, little Tall Latte.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Okay, he's two other people now right, we don't know.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
We don't know, no free policity, no free publicity. Anyways,
My point being, I really try and be a sponge
and take what I can get.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
From each person and apply it to my craft.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
And I just it feels really really good to go
out there and feel comfortable in my own skin and
get to learn and evolve in front of the DOTA.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Sure, your connection with the fans means everything how you
present yourself on TV. And it feels like you have
absolutely been able to connect with the fans. You've been
getting people interested in you. What do you think some
of the next big milestone. We're not to shove everything
in there as much as we can. Well, looking into
next year. We just left WrestleMania forty one in Vegas.
Where do you hope to be this time next year?
Speaker 3 (09:16):
After WrestleMania, I've got my eyes on a couple things,
you know.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
I think the Dungeon Dolls would just look perfect.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I love that name with.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
The Women's Tag Team.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Championship, Yeah, I love that name.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
That would be so good that I could see. Yes.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Now, I also have my eye on something that I
know in Italia also has her eye on, and that's
the Woman's Intercontinental Championship.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
And I also at the end of the day, I'm
also here for my team for the alpha babes, and
I need to see gold around the waste of Otis
and Tazawa very soon.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
So that's in the words absolutely, I think you're deserving
of it. I think they're deserving of it. Talk about
having a connection with the fans Otis and Tazawa anytime
they come out. My old boss Ashley, if you're listening
right now, she had went to raw and North Carolina
a few weeks ago, and she said, I just absolutely
love Sean Otis. I hate seeing him getting thrown around,
but she.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Just loves the big meaty guys.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Just throwing dudes around. Unfortunately, you know that happens. He
seems awesome.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
He is a d beef.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
He is like a cuddly character. He looks awesome.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
He's a serious wrestler, like he's actually like he's a
he's he's an animal in the gym, he's an animal
in the ring.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
He's lovable.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
But like, I think that's the thing about Otiz is
that he's very he's you know, don't judge a book
by its cover. As much as he might look like
a teddy bear, he's a killer.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Those quads choke you out.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Quad Goals, Quad goals. I love to see it. It's
it's awesome. Agommery.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
I'm here at eight forty WHAS News Radio ninety seven
to five w AMZ, Kentucky and is number one for
Cuncy and of course the baby Faces podcast on iHeart Radio.
I don't know if you've known, but you've been on
our show before. You came on about a year. Yeah,
you came in on about a year ago. We had
the most generic name ever, baby Faces Podcast. Oh thank you.
We've had a couple of people. Dom didn't love it.
Cody Rhodes was okay with it. He said it's better
(11:02):
than the Enhancement Talent or the Heels podcast. And I
don't think the Damien priest liked it all that much.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
But I don't know. We might rebrand and see how
it goes. I really appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Dungeon Dolls are on board.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
No, that's great. We got the Dungeon Dolls endorsement right there.
Before I get out of here, I got two absolutely
stunning women, two amazing WWE superstars. Maxine, you just got
engaged to correct. Yes, you have happily been married, semi happily.
I guess we'll go ahead and say that we've got.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
These cats at our house that you know, they caused
so much conflict and my husband picked sides and it
drives me crazy because you know, I'm I told DJ said,
when I'm right, I'm right.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
When I'm wrong, I'm still right.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
And well that was going to be literally what I
next said, So like, as i'd newly engaged. Is a
woman always right? Do I have to lose every single argument?
Speaker 5 (11:55):
Better for it?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Letter be right, happy wife, happy life, the quicker you
learn that, Yeah, the better off you're gonna be.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Yeah, absolutely, I've been. We've been going through wedding planning
right now, and thank goodness that my wife is or
my future wife. Fiance has always wanted to get married,
so she's laid everything out, everything was, everything was already
planned like a week in advance.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Howney, how does this sound okay? Good?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
And if I try to put something, oh, oh well
I already got this. Okay, that sounds good too. No,
I absolutely not, So I just keep She said, you
just find the DJ I work in radio. I know
hundreds of them. So all right, if you're gonna cheow
my arm off, I could do that. What are some
fun wedding planning stuff that you've been going on. What's
one thing that you've been liking about the being engaged part?
I would say for me, like, we haven't called each
(12:37):
other boyfriend or girlfriend and over in about six months,
and this is only one year where we're gonna call
each other fiance before we call each other husband and wife,
So it's a lot of name changing. What are you
mostly what do you like about being engaged right now?
Speaker 4 (12:49):
I am loving every minute.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
I'm just so grateful to be on this journey with Anthony.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
It's so special.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
We've been together for six years and we're both working
for the company to be which is just like mind
boggling because we were together long before this, and the fact
that I get spare my best friend is something I
will never take for granted. And I'm just trying to
keep myself grounded and remember that this wedding is about
us in our marriage, but it's also about how I
look the floor of the food, the open bar.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
That everything goes perfectly and that's awesome. And I guess
for you my marriage question would be, once again, the
women always have to be right.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
I think it just makes and I'm not even joking.
I just think it makes life easier. And I say
that because it's just you know, just tell me I'm pretty,
tell me I'm great, and just I could do that. Yeah,
just tell me I'm pretty, tell me I'm great. I mean,
there's nothing really else to I.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Mean to say that that completes her.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
Yes, absolutely, my husband's producing my matches. Say I'm pretty
and tell me I'm amazing.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
All right.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I think that I can manage to do that if
she can carry the groundwork and the mental load of
everything else. If I'm there to reassure, honey, you're amazing,
you're doing great, You're beautiful. I can't wait to marry you.
I guess that should be enough. I think that anytime
that she ever tries to come with an argument at me,
I think I'm just gonna reply to that. We'll see
where that goes.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
I like that. I'm gonna take that.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
We're hanging out here at Historic Churchill Downs Babyfaces podcast
on eight forty news Radio WHAS ninety seven five w
AMZ twin spires right behind us. I'm hanging out with
here with Maxine and Natalia from the WWE We're wrapping
up here now, thank you guys so much, and hopefully
you guys get to have time to send out carve
out time to watch a race. Maybe better on some ponies,
(14:30):
we might have to. Oh they're so nice, it's it's
absolutely adorable, and they're so big in person.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
They're just gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
And the fun thing is is when you're like in
the stands and you feel them, you can feel them
coming around the track, you could feel.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's awesome. They take care of these horses very well too.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
By the way, me and Nattie, we usually like our
money to be hanging in our closets.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Yeah that's cool, but we might bet your money. That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Well, you'll luck to you guys, and thank you so
much for everything that you do to sacrifice for us fans.
I'm a huge fan and always been a fan of
the WWE. I appreciate everything that you guys doing. Thank
you for your time today, thank you for having us.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Thank you
