what do we gotta do to get that sports cave?
And you shame on you if you hadn't started listening

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, we make it super easy for you. Anywhere you
get your podcast, just search for the Sports Cave with
Biggest Puma should pop up pretty quick.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
I have to start out with something that happened at
the seven eleven here in Dripping Springs. Uh. I was
in there and uh, you know I and this guy meant, well,
let me start out with that. This guy meant okay.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
That sets the table for the rest of the story.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah, I'm getting a little debbie and a Coke zero,
so they're gonna they're gonna balance out right. Hey, I
was about to say, that's my math, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
And you're here doing your part to balance your diet.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
And let me say this. I know I'm diabetic. I'm
not supposed to have little debbies, you know, but man,
they're good anyway. So this man walks up in forties,
I guess standing next to me, and he goes, and sugar,
sugar is not good for you. And I looked at
him and I and I'm not a threatening person, but
(01:17):
I'm you know, I'm a joke jokester. And I looked
at him and I went, yeah, my mom's dead and
I'm not going to fill that position, so thanks anyway,
which made him laugh. It was funny and we both
laughed and and he's so I think he's a listener
because he goes, you're diabetic, though, right, And I go
my granddad lived to be one hundred and he goes,
(01:41):
really was he diabetic? And I said no, he minded
his own goddamn business. Give me.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
A physical description of this guy, like was he in
like perfect shape himself? So he thought, normal fitty guy, Yeah,
what are you doing other people how to live?
Speaker 1 (02:02):
And I had to I go, no, no, he's and
he's like, okay, I'm you know sorry. I said no, no,
I'm just I said, I'm just I know you you
mean well, And I appreciate that. I just wanted to.
I just wanted to make you laugh, and he did.
We both laughed, but it wasn't But I love that.
I love that line that you know that one about
(02:22):
the he minded his own business. That's a good that's
a good comeback.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I like the line of my mom's dead and I
don't plan on.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Feeling that position.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I'm going to steal that one.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
That's from I actually stole that one from Saturday Night
Live from John Travolta, when the guy's yelling at him
you're eating too fast, and he goes, hey, if my
mother dies, you got the job. Okay, oh that's great.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah. Now we're we're three generations of the same line.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Like smart coming back. So all right, I was reading
this deal. Uh, this happened over the Valentine's Days when
kind of got known. But you know what the new
thing is for both married couples and single couples is
at date night at Costco. Have you heard about this?
Oh my god, they're actually promoting it. They call it
(03:10):
the Kirkland Signature Date. And I guess that's a signature
date night. That's the Kirkland is their private label or something.
I'm not a big Costco guy. Yes, I haven't needed
a ten gallon jar mustard and I don't know how long.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
That's what I was about to say of it. It's
just me and my roommate slash wife. We don't need
a whole lot of bulk items here in the house.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Anyway, I thought that people are going and they're having
dates at Costco. And they said Valentine's Day that many
of the Costcos across the country were slammed and they're
you know, they have that the food court, you know,
and you can get a hot dog or whatever. But
they said that people they ran out of hot dogs
and a bunch of them because people were on dates
(03:51):
at the Costco. Uh. I don't know. I got a
feeling if you find a girl or a guy at
a Costco that you that will go to Costco for
a date, keep her, hang on to her because she's
just you know, take her to a swap meet. She'll
go crazy. Uh.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
So to speak, this reminds me of the like who
was busier on Valentine's Day the Costco food court or
waffle house. Yeah, we get about a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Ago, you remember that. Yeah, if you can get a
girl to go to waffle house, oh man, smother covered
and you can have waffles.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Hey again so to speak, Well, I mean, if we're
Costco is selling out a hot dogs either. There's no
more phallic of a food item than a hot dog.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
No, I can guarantee for Valentine's Day. Hey, do you
want to foot long or Costco and get a hot dog?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I get the extra.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Okay, that's too for me. That are just stupid. Anyway,
I take her to a cock fight if you want
to take her somewhere. If she if she's wanting to bet,
then you got you got to keep her there. You know.
So have you have I been to one? Yes?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
You been? Yeah, Okay, I'm trying to figure I did.
It feels like a safe bet to say that you
and I are two people that absolutely have been to a.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Cock I left Odessa, you know, staying in national anthem
at one and then and then we did the Spanish
national anthem out of respect. I stood and put my
hand over my heart.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
You know. It's like it's like it's like a hockey
game in Canada where they played both both anthems. Yeah.
I spent many I spent multiple years in Stevenville, Texas.
Uh uh yeah, went to a few tournaments myself there.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Right, always bet on if there's one there named Diablo,
you bet on him. Bet all you got because he's
he's going to be, He's gonna be. That's a good cock,
as they used to say, I think, even on a podcast.
But uh so, if you've got to Valentine's Day coming up,
seeing you want to do something different. There's a couple
of ideas right there. Who says this show doesn't have romance? Man?
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah, yeah, we are your romance connoisseurs here. We are
your your your guard, your guidance.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
I guess a lot of people are probably saying this
show doesn't everyone, Well, there's probably not that many saying it.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
How many how many shows out there are giving you
Valentine's Day pointers already for next year.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I mean, thank you, big Kat, thank you the love
strong here on know and we appreciate you. Guys. All Right,
you're listening. I think it's a good time to get out.
You're listening to the Beam and Brown Experience on the
