“What happens when a state trooper turns a college football celebration into a confrontation?” That’s the question Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina “K-Ray” Ray tackle in this fiery episode of The Ben and Skin Show. The crew dives headfirst into the viral moment from the South Carolina–Texas A\&M game, where a state trooper’s bizarre behavior toward a player sparked outrage. Was it Aggie pride gone wrong or something deeper? Ben doesn’t hold back, questioning whether someone with that temperament should ever carry a badge. Skin adds his own twist, blaming “Aggie Man being Aggie Man,”. But that’s not all. The gang shifts gears to the Mavericks game drama: Anthony Davis rocking a Jordan Love Packers jersey in the heart of Cowboys country. Why did this harmless fashion choice ignite so much anger? Is it really about fandom—or lingering bitterness over the Luka trade?

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Ray, Little bagar By. Ready to start the show.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Today.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
It's a Cowboy game day. Cowboys Raiders tonight in Vegas.
MAV's also playing basketball tonight. We'll talk about both those things.
Daddy coming up momentarily. A couple of things stood out
to me from the weekend that I wanted to get into,
and I'll go in chronological order. I want to start
with an interaction that happened between a football player from

(01:39):
South Carolina while it was the South Carolina Texas A
and M football game. Wide receiver caught a long pass.
He appeared to kind of hurt his hamstring a little bit,
and so he went deep, deep into like he went
like eighty yards or whatever. It was long touchdown, and
he kept running right through the back of the end
zone and kept running right down a tunnel and was

(01:59):
kind of grabbing his hands, kind of looked like he
wasn't going to try to like throw on the brakes
too hard because it might hurt his leg, so he
just kind of kept running it out, slowing down that way.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Does that make sense, Yeah, And.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
So as he ran deep into the tunnel, most of
his players kind of followed him down the tunnel, thinking,
ok is he okay? You know, let's go celebrate with him,
Let's make sure he's okay. And so a couple different
players ran down the tunnel with him. As they were
walking back to the field, there was a state trooper
or something, a sheriff, and I don't want to throw
any law enforcement under the bus.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
So I don't even know what. I don't know what law.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Enforcement agency he was working for, but he's kind of
jacked up, white cop. He starts walking down the tunnel
the opposite direction where the players are coming from, and
the players aren't They're thinking about getting out to the field.
They're not thinking about why is this officer walking towards us?
And the officer kind of walked in between two players

(02:55):
and kind of leaned in and like bumped shoulders with
the shoulder pads of the guy who scored. It's like
kind of went out of his way to draw contact.
If it was the NBA, you know, he would have flopped.
He would have tried to draw contact, draw foul. And
the player turned around like whoa what was that? And
the officer turned around and pointed to him and screamed
at him. And I found myself looking at that, going

(03:17):
if he's going to behave that way on television in
front of a pack stadium, what does he do when
no one's there? There's no I mean, man, it really
was not okay with me. Like I I watched it,
and it it bothered me a lot. I couldn't believe
the behavior of the officer.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
I have not seen the clip that you're talking about,
but this is what's show it to you live on
the ear.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
You need to see it.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
Okay, pretty bad, We'll get over to me here, ktsprised
it was. It was making the rounds this weekend.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Even I saw it KT sauntering over now bending over
in his Daisy Duke's and showing skin looks like really
dirty laptop computer part of your body, a black light
on that computer.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Are you watching it now? Tell us what you're seeing?

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
So my first thought in seeing this that game was
in college station is that that has more to do
with Aggie Man being Aggie Man, because at that I
looked down at the score. It was an unbelievable comeback
for A and M. Yes, at that time, they're getting
their ass kit. Yes, And I have a feeling, just

(04:29):
because of what I tangentially know about Aggie culture, I
think that's Aggie Man being Aggie Man. That made it
twenty six to three. Yeah, on the second quarter. That
was a state trooper by the way. Okay, what you
didn't see in the video I showed you though, is
that he walked from he was where he was stationed
before that play. Uh huh, was very close to the

(04:50):
uprights he walked when the players went into the tunnel there,
he walked over there. Yeah, And I saw someone of
the best comment I saw on this was someone said,
this guy just got the luckiest cop assignment ever and
he blew it because they.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Sent him home. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
He's like, yeah, you're a state trooper, but you get
to be that guy at the game in the end zone, Like,
what a cool assignment you got there.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
I think to.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Ben's point, he is displaying that he does not have
the type of temperament that it takes to have a
gun on his side and be in charge of keeping
law and order. I mean, ultimately, that's your job is
to keep law in order, not to go, I don't know,
use your position for your advantage because you have a gun,

(05:34):
you know what I'm saying. So it just seems like
a guy that doesn't have the temperament to do that job.
But in watching it within the context of the score
and now that it strikes me as pissed off Aggie fan.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Yeah, I know, those guys aren't supposed to be fans,
are supposed to be there doing their job. You know,
he's not a mascot or a cheerleader. He's there to
protect everyone who's there.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
And he put himself in that situation and made himself
a part of the story. It's almost like he was like, look,
how big I am. I'm a walk right between these guys.
Make these guys get out of the hell out of
my way. Yeah, And as he walked towards them, they
didn't even really look at him there and thinking about
that they're playing a sport, and he creates the contact.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
And then he turns around outrage screaming and pointing, and man,
I know you're not supposed to do this, but I
couldn't help but realize and recognize, you know, the colors
of the people that are involved here and looking at that, going, uh,
this doesn't sit well with me. Yeah, you know what

(06:35):
I'm saying. Did you think that, Kat?

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Absolutely, especially when one of the players appeared to be
kind of like trying to get of his way to
and make a little opening for him to walk past him. Yea,
he went out of his way to left shoulder into
the player, and then he turned and yelled at the
other player. I mean, it's surely easy, as not being
an A and M fan, to just blame this on
the Aggies. That'll be a lot of fun boy after that, though,
What a comeback they had after that big moment, using

(06:58):
the inspiration.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Inspired by they sent him home and they're investigating.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Now.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
I don't think you lose your job over this, right.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
I wouldn't let him be in a stadium ever, and
I would immediately want to go back it. Just let's
look at everything here. Is there any weird questionable cases here?

Speaker 4 (07:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
I would to me, it was a very unflattering look,
and it was a little scary, man. Honestly, it was
not right. That should not have happened. And maybe it
was an isolated incident and just weird, and maybe he's
the best dude ever, but it was a terrible look
for him, and it was bad, man, it was bad.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
It really bothered me.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
The other thing that didn't bother me that appeared to
bother a lot of other people from the weekend, and
that was yesterday at the Maverick game. Anthony Davis, who's
going to be out for another seven to ten days,
which I'm fine with. I don't mind that at all,
was wearing a packer's jersey. He's wearing a Jordan Love

(07:58):
jersey and he's in street clothes. But I'm bum he's
in street clothes and he's wearing you know, and Anthony.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
He's wearing a Jordan Love jersey.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Packer's jerseys and Cowboy country, big, big packer statement.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
And people were pissed.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
And why who cares when you come to a team
you're not Is he playing in Dallas now, he's not
supposed to pretend to be a Cowboys fan. That's fake.
Whoever he's a fan of, let him be a fan
of Who cares? It bothered people, And I couldn't believe
it bothered him.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
I think this has more to do with the Luca trade.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
I think they're just mad at him because he was
a part of the Luca trade and he's a Packer fan.
Nico traded for a Packer fan. I swear to god,
I have more Packer fans that I have just as
many Packer fans in my life as Cowboys fans.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
And we're all pretty good people. No, no, you're disagree.
It's the worst life, yeah, say so many of them.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
He's just getting so he's just supporting Jordan because the
national media is really trying to tear Jordan Love down
despite being a top five quarterback in the.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
League this year.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Anthony Davis is thirty three years old. That means he's
grown up with Packers being great. I mean, that's very
common for guys to be pick their fandom based on
who the players. Can you imagine growing up when he
was a baby, Brett Fahr was a badass and then
he got Aaron Rod. I mean it's and also I
think the real thing is, do you know who is

(09:21):
terrible during the time that he grew up?

Speaker 4 (09:23):
The Chicago Bears.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
He's from Chicago, so kind of the story is how'd
you become a Packer fan instead of a Bear fan?

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Man?

Speaker 6 (09:31):
And that you know, That's what we've talked about this,
especially like we've talked about this with your kids.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Ben.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
It's like kids today find players that they latch onto
and those become their teams.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
It's not always the hometown team.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
I mean, I am still an e fin Cowboys fan
after thirty years of this. I was thinking about people
who later in life. We used to have this guy
come on to Ben and skin show that became a
Chiefs fan because he didn't like the Cowboys, and I
was like, I don't know that I could just change
my fan allegiance. I've been a Boys fan for thirty
years of crap, and I'm not going to change. I'm

(10:03):
still gonna be a Cowboys fan no matter how bad
the Jones run this thing. I know everybody got upset
when Luca got traded. I was like, I can't imagine
not being a Mavericks fan. Well, I saw that life,
and I agree.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
I think it's just people are angry over the Luca trade,
and he is going to be. He's going to receive
a lot of that heat, especially now that that Nico's gone,
and so like, I hear this idea of Anthony Davis
getting a fresh start on some other team, you know,
I think that would help him at some point too,
because he doesn't deserve the hate he gets from that trade.
It was a terrible trade. We can all agree on that,

(10:35):
but I hate that so many of it, so much
of it. The angst at this point has now placed
it in Anthony Davis's giant feet.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
All right, coming up next, we're gonna take some things.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Skin is tracking, Okay, a little bit of weather talk,
a little bit of dance talk, a little bit of
dirt talk.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
All that's next,

Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
