Speaker 1 (00:01):
Indeed number one tuck show in the Ohio Valley. This
is the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host, bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on news radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
WWVA starts now.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
The bloom Daddy Experience. It's seven oh six on news
radio eleven seventy. Talks of politics now, Jim or Nacy,
former Congressman, bloo Daddy Show. Political analysts Jim got a
number of polls out Sunday say that a majority of
Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the presidency. His approval
rating is between thirty nine and forty five percent in
(00:41):
these three surveys. That's the lowest for any newly elected
president at the one hundred day mark in more than
seven decades We're talking about more than seventy years now.
When he returned to the White House in January, he
saw an uptick in his favorability ratings, but he's losing
confidence mainly among voters in his ability to handle the economy.
(01:03):
So if you were to give Trump a letter grade
for his first one hundred days, what would it be.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Well, Moon Daddy it's interesting. I do believe his efforts
are inn a. He's trying to do some things that
haven't been done in a long long time. The problem
is the strategy and the results. I probably give him
a C minus or D plus. And that's that's the
real issue. If you take a look at some of
these things, each one of them. You know, whether it's tariffs,
(01:33):
I think reciprocal tariffs people love, but what tariffs are
doing to people's furrowing k plan people don't like. You know,
if you look at what removing illegal aliens, people love that.
That's an A plus. But then you turn around and
you see that we're removing families and even most recently,
a childhood cancer that causes people heartburn, Reducing government size
(01:57):
and waste a everybody loves that idea until they find
out they're losing their jobs, veterre in benefits might be
canceled or eliminated. All of these things have double issues
to them, and that's what's really driving these polls. Effort
and what he's trying to do AA plus. But really
(02:19):
the strategy and the results or the problem.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
Okay, but those results can change. We live in a
society where everybody wants everything right now, Jim, and you
know that these are results that might take some time,
and people probably don't want to hear that. But if
they do change in another one hundred days or two
hundred days, then what.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Well, the problem is they could get worse, which is,
you know, if you go back to twenty sixteen, people
loved what President Trump was trying to do until twenty
eighteen came around and we had the election's midterm elections,
and we lost the House, we lost the Senate, we
lost major Senates seats. These are the problems that could occur.
But you're exactly right, there could be some changes. The
(03:07):
problem is the effect is widespread. And I my time
with the President in servicing Congress and knowing that he
really wants to get some of these things done. The
real problem is, and I might have said this on
your show before, back in twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen,
he had people telling him, mister President, if you do
(03:28):
some of these things, it's going to cause serious problems,
and he avoided doing them. This time around, he's doing them.
He knows he only has you know, three and a
half years. He's trying to get these things done. And
the gamble is where are we in the next hundred days.
We could be worse.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
The trade wars is that one of them. I mean,
was it a mistake for him to start these trade wars?
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Well only because and a lot of your listeners I
know don't agree with what I say When I say this,
I lived through a lot of tariff and trade war
issues back in twenty seven twenty eighteen on the Ways
of Means Committee. We had multiple people come in, experts
come in and say all of the things that could happen,
(04:14):
And I think, what's going And it's one of the
reasons I am not for these tariff and trade wars
because we first off, our allies are now getting mad
at us, They're going elsewhere, they're trying to establish relationships
with China. These are all the things that could damage us.
And yes, I think that's a real issue. And prices boom.
(04:35):
They haven't even gone up yet, they're just starting to
tick up. But in six months, if we continue down
this path, you're going to see more and more prices
going up, which is going to be a real problem
for the economy.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Talking to former Congressman Jim or Acy, are you seeing
people turn on him, allies, because I saw a clip
with Candice Owens expressing her regret over voting for Trump.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Were you surprised by that?
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Well, I'm seeing a lot of people. And her issue,
of course, was the Harvard and the potential of taking
away and affecting their First AMENDMENTY. But remember, Sean Hannity
came out and is absolutely opposed to taxing the high
wealthy individuals that Trump is proposing. Elon Musk even came
(05:22):
out and said he is opposed to these tariffs. So
there are people slightly starting to turn on him. But
I also got to tell you I talked to a
lot of Republicans. I talked to a lot of my
colleagues back in DC on an ongoing basis. They're all
just sitting back and saying, Wow, we just hope this
changes because they know what the effect will be on
(05:43):
them in a reelection in two years. And even though
they're not coming out against I'm starting to see that tendency.
They're not saying anything public, but they are seriously concerned.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
So what do you say to somebody, Jim real quick
before I let you go, and I'm saying it, who says, yeah,
you know what, This is tough, and some of this
stuff might work and it might not, but damn I'd
rather be dealing with this than Kamala Harris sitting in
that place.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Well that's interesting because that's always the comment that gets made,
even in discussions I have with individuals, isn't he better
than Kamala Harris? And my response to that would be, look,
I do. Look, I'm a supporter of President Trump. I
also believe that a House and Senate that is working
in the job they should would have also shut down
(06:32):
at Kamala Harris. The problem, the real problem that I
see today is the House and Senate. And I got
to give them credit. They're letting the President attempt to
get things done. Hopefully it works, but at some point
in time they're going to have to step in. I
think they would have stepped in a lot quicker with
Kamala Harris. You would have got nothing accomplished. I don't
(06:53):
know if that's good for our country either, but I
do know that all three of these branches need to
work in a way at our founders wanted and more.
There's checks and balance on each of them.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
All right, Jim, thanks for the time. Thank you, all right,
Jim Ernacy, former Congressman, bloom Daddy Show political air, Well.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Happy Tuesday, We officially have hitched one hundred days of
the second Trump administration. Thank you for tuning in. You're
listening to the bloom Daddy experience Otis and Sam here
on news Radio eleven seventy WWVA. And of course that
is the big topic of conversation today nationally. Again we
are at one hundred days, and of course in coinciding
(07:38):
with that are the latest polls for President Trump. But
before we get to all of that, joining us on
the phone, we have our political analyst Eljim mccardial with
that early a day early. Want to get your reactions
to Jim Ernacy and bloom Daddy earlier.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Oh, well, you know several comments. First of all, polls
he said, three polls. I don't know what three polls
he was referencing, because depending on the poll, as we've
always discussed, it's going to be different who you're polling.
I disagree that it's a C C minus. I would
(08:19):
give the more of a B plus. You know, people
who have never been in leadership, who have never been
run a business, have a very difficult time understanding that
if you want something to get better, you have to
make changes. You know, in any administration, there's going to
(08:44):
be changes, whether it be in a business sense, or
in a governmental sense, or in a legislative sense. There's
always a change. And that's why we have certain term limits.
Although Congress is a different issue, you know, because you
can't get stagnant with one particular person. And what we
do know is that we have had some major, major
(09:08):
issues to two issues that were mandated by the people
for the immigration issue and of course the economy. If
anybody out there expects things to be changed overnight, your nuts.
What is incredible is that in one hundred days the
(09:30):
border has been secured and the country has been cleaned up,
so to speak. They're still working on it and getting
you know, a lot of people out, but you know
there and maybe there were one or two hiccups and
there always will be, but those are being corrected. So
I don't I would. I would absolutely give Trump an
(09:51):
a in the administration as far as closing the borders
and addressing the immigration problem, because that has gone too.
Speaker 7 (10:00):
I think there's been.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
A ninety nine point ninety nine decrease in amount of
people crossing the borders. And I think as far as
the people being released out into the country, I think
it's like nine. It's something really crazy small.
Speaker 5 (10:15):
It's like dig.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
Administra, yeah, single digits and in it from thousands, hundreds
of thousands. And we can't have a country if you
don't have a border. And that is the first thing.
And he's accomplished that in one hundred days. It's something
that Noah administration ever in seventy years, has ever done.
As far as the Terrisco and the economy, it's going
(10:37):
to take time. It's going to take time. Biden's administration
tanked this economy and people just kept drinking.
Speaker 8 (10:45):
The kool aid. Oh well, you know.
Speaker 6 (10:47):
There's no inflation that you know, it's just it's transitory. YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA.
You know, just you know, keep doing your own research,
figure out what's going on. I think that the teriffs
are a good thing. And what people don't realize is
the terrorists will put in place back in World War
(11:08):
two to get other countries back on their feet. Well,
we've gotten them back on their feet, and then they
would use the United States. So that has to change.
And in order for that to change. It's always it's
kind of like giving somebody an allowance of one hundred
dollars a week and say, okay, well you're wasting it,
so we're going to go down to twenty dollars a week.
(11:28):
There's going to be a crunch, there's going to be
a pinch, there's going to be a hurt. Drink of medicine.
As in order to get better, you have to take
some medicine. And this is the tariffs of the medicine.
And I think it will get better. In all the
speculation on oh, well, what's going to happen in three months,
and what's going to happen, you know, in the midterms, folks,
(11:49):
we got to quit worrying about elections and worry about
the country. I think if you take care of the
little things, the big things will take care of themselves.
And he only has so many days. And in order
to get that done, he's got to move, and he's
got to move quickly, expeditiously. And I think he's done that.
So I would give him a good punch.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
Well, and exactly as you as you said earlier that
we're only in one hundred days, and what he walked
into was an absolute cluster, you know what, And in
one hundred days things are not going to be flipped overnight,
exactly like you said. But you've got to take into account.
(12:28):
Since January, three hundred and forty five thousand jobs have
been created. One hundred and eighty eight thousands of those
were in the private sector, not governmental jobs. So that's
right here in our backyard, the private sector jobs. Fifteen
thousand government jobs were actually cut. Veteran unemployment is down
four point two percent, and the numbers go on, Oh
(12:51):
FYI for everybody worrying about the eggs, egg prices are
down fifty percent, so that that seems to be the
mark or for inflation for everybody. Are the cost of eggs,
So eggs have dropped fifty percent under President Trump. So
and speaking of the polls, as you said, exactly right,
where were the polls conducted? Because I found an interesting
(13:15):
map online where it breaks down state per state approval ratings.
So if we look at Texas, Texas has an approval
rating for President Trump at fifty nine percent. Let's look
in our own backyard, Ohio fifty seven percent, West Virginia
sixty three percent. So again, these polls are very misleading.
Speaker 9 (13:39):
They're misleading because here's the thing. Even when they did
the election polls, what was it, twenty sixteen, all the
polls said Hillary Clinton was going to win, right, so
you know, and then they.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
Said that the polls, sorry, I go ahead, the polls
for the election this past election.
Speaker 10 (13:55):
You know, we're neck and neck, neck and neck, and
it was a blowout, right Okay, So let me ask
you this out of out of uh, some of the
major talking points that are going on today, the border,
the border security, the Russian Russian Ukrainian conversation of peace talks,
and then also the financial state of the country.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
What of those three do you think needs the most
improvement by this administration.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
I would say Ukraine sort of dropped off into the
background and the back burner. I think all the other
ones are in the front burner. But you know, you
have to that that is an issue that you're dealing
with two other You're trying to make a deal between
two other people, you know what I mean, Whereas the
(14:48):
other issues directly affect us, and he has direct control.
He can't control Putent, he cannot control Zolensky, and he
has you know, are those two at the table. Really,
I think they're there in between. You know, Trump's certainly
in the middle, but folks do not count. He didn't
write the Art of a deal for no reason.
Speaker 8 (15:09):
He knows what.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
He's doing, he knows what's going to happen. And far
as the stock market goes, the stock market has gone
up and down and up and down and up and
down and up and down for centuries. And don't forget,
one of the worst tanks was during the Obama administration,
So let's just keep that all in mind.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
Well, and then also during the Obama administration was the
some of the most deportations of illegal immigrants.
Speaker 7 (15:36):
Right.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
Well, and let's pushback no injunction, right.
Speaker 9 (15:40):
And there was a thing, I think it was on
the show after ask Glenn Beck that they were talking yesterday.
It was I think it was something on cn there
and there was the political pundit complaining about Trump and
all his things and what well we have we're not
seeing anything, we're not seeing any results. Well you don't.
We live in the society of instant gratification. But things
do not happen in thirty seconds. Yeah, yeah, No, it's
(16:02):
not a sound bite. It's not a football game or
any you know, there's no instant replays, there's nothing. You know,
it's bang bang, and it'll get there when it gets there.
You have to be a little patient.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Headlines and sound bites. That's what we've become here in
this country. Like you said, instant gratification. That's a great
way of putting it. And here's another thing to keep
in mind. And hopefully Elgin you agree with me on this.
Has he not become one of the most accessible presidents
we've had in modern day with the amount of appearances
he's had in front of the press. It's it's it's
(16:34):
a completely refreshing version of a president. But we have
to I mean, just real quick.
Speaker 6 (16:43):
Yeah, the transparency I think is a big issue. So
in all the other administrations, she had no idea what's
going on. You know exactly what's going on, and so
maybe that's part of the problem, is that you have
to take the good with the bad. You have to,
you know, you have to take the changes to become better.
There's nobody's been more transparent than well.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
I hate to cut you off. That was a little
teaser for Politics Unleash coming up tomorrow, but we wanted
to talk one hundred days with of course Elgiam McCardell
Elgin will talk to you tomorrow, okay on.
Speaker 9 (17:13):
Day one oh one.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
Yeahs.
Speaker 5 (17:18):
You're listening to the Bloom Daddy Experience. Call us give
us a grade A, B, C, D or F the
Bloom Daddy Experience. Samon Otis News Radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
The votes are in and the names have been revealed.
Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cindy Lapper, out Cast,
Sound Gordon, the White Stripes into the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame Performer Category, Musical Influence Award. You've got
Salt and Peppa warren Zevon, Musical Excellence Award, Tom Bell,
Nikki Hopkins, Carol Kay. Let's bring on the man himself,
Greg Harris, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO and President.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
So what do you think of this class kind of
I mean it's eclectic.
Speaker 11 (17:55):
Oh well, bloom Daddy, I think it's great. There's some
artists on here that people have thought were inducted years ago.
Speaker 7 (18:01):
I know there's been a lot of interest in.
Speaker 11 (18:03):
Warren Zevon getting in and Bad Company getting in many things.
Joe Cocker is already in, and that's true, so it's
it's a real fun mix. I think to go from
the White Stripes all the way down to Carol Kay
and Tom Bell, it's a big mix and we're really
thrilled for this class.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
The response has been.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Terrific, Greg.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
What's great about these classes is there's so much debate
on who's in who's out, and I think it's great
for music.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
I think it's great for the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Every time there's a class announced, there's usually one performer
that shocks me that's not in this year. If you'd
have told me that Mariah Carey and Billy Idol both
would not make it in, I'd have said, you're crazy.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
But that's exactly what happened.
Speaker 11 (18:50):
It is, and you know that's when you that's part
of the process in a way. The other part is
today's the day to celebrate those that got in. So
you know, Mariah and Billy Idol will be eligible again
next year, but this class here we're celebrating. Cindy Lauper
was nominated two years ago, finally got in, went over
(19:13):
the top. And you think about some of these other
artists that have been talked about or even nominated Soundgarden
was on before they went in, so it's a great moment.
It's really exciting to have this class going in and
we can't wait to celebrate him with exhibits at the
museum in Cleveland and the induction ceremony in Los Angeles.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
In the fall.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Greg Cindy's one of my favorites. I player all the
time on this show.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
I tell people all the time, Guys particularly, I was like,
if you want to take my man.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Card, take it. I love Ciddy Lauper, I don't care.
Speaker 7 (19:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (19:43):
That that first record there was like six songs that
were top ten hits. Amazing vocal range, great energy, great personality,
and definitely very impactful and influential.
Speaker 7 (19:53):
So really a fun class. And uh yeah, you know.
Speaker 11 (19:57):
The other one on here that's a little bit of
a sleeper is Nicky High Hopkins.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
If people don't know the name, they should look him up.
Speaker 11 (20:03):
He was the keyboard player for the Rolling Stones. He
did session work for the Kinks, session work for the Who,
and even.
Speaker 7 (20:10):
Some stuff with the Beatles.
Speaker 11 (20:12):
This guy has like been everywhere and he's finally being
honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
It's terrific.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah, and there's some other ones here too, Like you know,
going back to Sydney, I mean Cidy also was like
the face of WWF wrestling back.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
When you talk about people who.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Impact society or pop culture in certain ways, Cindy's definitely there.
You just talked about Hopkins, I mean Saltan Pepa. I
mean you think about when they came on board and
the music that they brought. I mean, they really stole
the scene there for quite some time.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
They did.
Speaker 11 (20:46):
I'm pretty sure they're the first female hip hop group
to win a Grammy.
Speaker 7 (20:51):
Like they were there at the earliest days and they
were loud and proud about.
Speaker 11 (20:57):
You know, it was sort of a male dominated art
form and they came and just brought it. I think
everybody in the world started dressing like them and looking
like them.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
And their music is.
Speaker 11 (21:08):
Terrific and you know, jumping ahead the white stripes going in.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, they have some of.
Speaker 11 (21:14):
Our friends from up in Detroit, just straight ahead rock
and roll. You can't go in a sporting event anywhere
in the world without hearing a Seven Nation Army and
in many other songs.
Speaker 7 (21:24):
Really, it's fun that they're getting inducted.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
To Yeah, I'm talking to Greg Harris rock and Roll
Hall of Fame CEO and President. The White Stripes are
one of my favorite groups of all time. It's another
one I play on here all the time. And Sound Garden.
I mean you're going from Bad Company to Chubby Checker
to Joe Cocker to Outcast Soundgarden. That's why I said eclectic.
I mean, it's just such a class that covers so
many different genres.
Speaker 11 (21:47):
Yeah, you know, it reminds us in a way that
rock and roll isn't one sound. It's all about attitude
and spirit, and these artists have a ton of attitude,
a ton of spirit. It may sound a little different
or have different rhythms, but it's all pushing the boundaries
and it's it's great music.
Speaker 7 (22:03):
You know. In addition to the ceremony, we're gonna have
a great.
Speaker 11 (22:06):
Exhibit at the museum and all summer this year, the
museum is open. Even though we have construction going on,
we are open. We're having concerts, events and activity to
celebrate these artists.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Yeah, update me again, Greg, because I just walked by
the other day for some exercise. As a matter of fact,
about eight fifteen in the morning, and I walked by
in construction was in full swing. I mean, what exactly
is going on down there? And when will this new
class the exhibits begin.
Speaker 11 (22:32):
Yeah, So you know, we've been open for thirtieth year,
We've had fifteen million visitors, and we're now expanding the
museum to accommodate the next fifteen million. So the main
pyramid is staying open. Everything in there is terrific, but
the expansion project is being built between us and the
Great Lakes Science Center. These new inductees will collect their
(22:53):
stuff from them now. The curators are already in touch with
their family and the artists himself, and we'll put up
an exhibit later on this year to celebrate these artists.
Speaker 7 (23:02):
Meanwhile, we're opening up a new exhibit in May about.
Speaker 11 (23:04):
Saturday Night Live's fiftieth anniversary and all the great artists
that played on that Saturday Night Live TV show. That'll
be our featured exhibit all summer long. And we've got
lots of outdoor concerts on our plaza. People should go
to Rockhall dot com and come down and hang.
Speaker 7 (23:17):
Out with us.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Well, i'll tell you what.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Greg I was there last year for the induction ceremonies
and it's one of the highlights of what I've been
privy to, and I thank you for that. And you
and I talked off air one time about, you know,
the ceremonies and everything that goes in refresh my memory?
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Is it in LA this year? Is that where the ceremony?
Speaker 7 (23:33):
LA is?
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (23:34):
In November, it'll be in Los Angeles. It'll air on
Hulu and Disney Plus.
Speaker 11 (23:40):
We'll have the stream and then ABC you'll have the
broadcast during the time a little bit later in the year.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Awesome, sounds great, Greg, Thanks for the time today, My pleasure.
Speaker 11 (23:50):
Bloom Daddy, have a great day and it's a great
day for Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Thanks absolutely, all right, thank you. That is Greg Harris,
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO and president.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Welcome back the one Datti Experience. Sam and Otis News
Radio eleven seventy w w VA Otis. I'm telling you what,
I'm going to be messed up the rest of the
day because we talked to Elgin on a Tuesday and
not a Wednesday. Now I'm going to be I'm going
to be a day ahead. Yeah, yeah, more than usual.
I'm going to be a day ahead. Of course she was.
She joined us earlier on the show to talk about
(24:23):
what the big story is today, which is the one
hundred day mark of the Trump presidency. I did put
this on our Facebook last night to just give us
your grade, give us your grade of what has transpired
over the first one hundred days in office and across
the board to for you our listeners that have responded
(24:46):
so far. It's an A. I mean, let me double
check here everybody.
Speaker 9 (24:52):
That gave you a C minus.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
I think it was Renasi. Well that's terrible.
Speaker 9 (24:59):
Well, I mean, obviously you know it was two segments
ago and we can't and we've had Elgin and everything
else on, so I don't remember which one.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
It was here.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
What would you give him?
Speaker 9 (25:11):
I'd probably give him a B plus. I don't know
if it's an A just as of yet. I am
not dissatisfied with anything, you know. I think I think
bloom Daddy has like a personal because his son is
working for the US government and he's under the two
years in the probationary period, as is my son. So
(25:34):
you know, if if he loses his job because of
cuts for just because they're the young, I mean, I
can see where you have a sour taste in.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Your mind, the federal employment.
Speaker 9 (25:43):
But it's also not the end of the world. He'd
probably get a severance and then they're probably hiring back
in six months.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
I would give him a b okay, a little bit,
a little a little bit below you. And and here's
here's why. The the tariff conversation, the inflation finances. You know,
we're not even at that point yet. We're still at
the conversation stage. So we have not seen the repercussions
(26:12):
of financially how that's going to affect affect us sitting
around the dinner table. We haven't seen those ramifications yet.
So there is there's a little bit of my hesitancy.
And then there's a couple of things going on when
it comes to the colleges, especially Harvard, where the federal
funding is being threatened to be cut off, and we're
(26:34):
talking about freedom speech, and that is a particular thing
that you know, what you and I do day to day,
you don't mess with. I mean, that's one of the
pillars of this country. But I will say, what is
happening on campuses like Harvard in the anti Semitic rhetoric
(26:54):
that is being spoken is atrocious. It is horrifying the
fact that there are videos out there that there are
young students who, you know, they're trying to get to
their finals and they can't even walk across their own
campus without being just thrown horrible, horrible things in their face.
The speech and the verbiage and all that. But that's
(27:18):
what free speech is.
Speaker 9 (27:19):
But we also have rules against hate speech.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
And you're right, so we are at a very.
Speaker 9 (27:26):
Line, yes, But I think I don't I don't think
that they that the president is holding back funding because
of the protests and the speeches. I think he's holding
back because of the university's reaction and the you know,
for these people that are creating the hate speech. You know, yes,
(27:47):
you do have freedom of speech to a point, okay,
And I think what they're saying is, you know, if
you want to, if you want to, if you want
to support Palestine, that is your rights as a citizen
or just you know whatever, that is your right to
support whoever you want, but not at the expense of
somebody else.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
Yeah, it's it's a fine line. We're dancing on a
fine line currently. But what I will say is for
the major topics that the agenda that he put out
on the campaign trail. He is doing it. What we
voted for, he is doing And as I said, speaking
(28:27):
to Elgin, you've got to keep in mind what he
walked into, which was an absolute, as I said, cluster.
But I did put it on Facebook last night for
you out there, and as I said, it's pretty much
a's across the board when it comes to our folks
here listening to our show. So have a thought call
(28:48):
one eight hundred sixty two for eleven seventy what has
been the most success so far in the first one
hundred days. Where has the ball been dropped a little bit?
We want to hear from you. One hundred and six
two four eleven seven. Also yesterday the White House, the
Super Bowl champion's Philadelphia Eagles made an appearance. Of course,
there were those that did not attend, including QB Jalen Hurts,
(29:12):
which of course has gotten all of the liberal talking
heads losing their minds. I didn't want to point out
a couple other things though, with with athletes. After kind
of following up on the white the White House attendance
yesterday by the Eagles, O High State receiver Jeremiah Smith
(29:32):
was in attendance when Ohio state was there except with
the National Championship Trophy, which was a couple of weeks ago.
He has now fallen under fire by a lot of
critics for shaking the president's hand. People, what are you.
Speaker 9 (29:50):
Supposed to do?
Speaker 5 (29:51):
People are ripping him up and down for shaking the
president's hand, which is disgusting. I am I'm sorry. You
may disagree with somebody politically, but here is a young
man who was in attendance at the White House, and
out of respect for the sitting president of the United States,
(30:15):
he shook his hand.
Speaker 9 (30:19):
But did you see the grief that Saquon Barkley's getting.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
That was my next point for going golfing with President Trump.
With President Trump, he is now getting grief also. He
took to X and said, for some people really upset
that I played golf and flew to the White House
with the president. Maybe I just respect the office. A
(30:43):
hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too
long ago, and look forward to finishing my round with
President Trump. Now get out of my mentions with all this,
with all this politics, and have an amazing day. I
can't agree with him more.
Speaker 9 (30:59):
Yeah, sometimes it's not about the politics. Sometimes it's just
about the one what you want to do.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
Listen, you have an opportunity to go golfing with the president, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (31:07):
I'd go, Yeah, I suck, but I'd go like, I'd
be like, hey, can I just pick it up and
put it like, come up to where you are because
I'm not gonna I mean, it's just I'm going to
be in the woods, I'm going to be in the water,
I'm going to be someplace else.
Speaker 7 (31:23):
You know.
Speaker 9 (31:23):
Just I'll just I'm going to take the loss you.
I'll just play with you. I'll just hit from where
you hit.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
I'll just drive the cart for you. I'm good with that.
Speaker 9 (31:33):
No, I'll open your beer, yeah, or your diet coke.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
It goes back to what we've talked about before. There
is the political side of a president. There is the agenda,
There is what they touted on the campaign trail, and
then there is respect for the office. We have lost
sight of that in this country. And it goes back
(31:57):
to and I said this during the time. It goes
back to to President Obama's time in office. It seems
as if at that time we got away from using
President Obama. We just started saying Obama it.
Speaker 9 (32:12):
Goes back further than that, you think, Oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
That to me, that's where it really sticks out in
my memory.
Speaker 9 (32:18):
I think I think it goes back to even Clinton.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
Really, I always heard President Clinton. I never heard just Clinton.
Speaker 9 (32:27):
I mean, it goes back, I mean, because I mean
they would call him Reagan, you know, I mean, I mean,
I don't think just leaving the president off of the
of the of the name president Reagan, president Bush, president whatever.
I don't. I mean, I think that's been going on
for a long time. It just but as far as
like being disrespectful about it, then I would say he
started probably around Clinton when he went into the room
(32:50):
and used the intern.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Yeah, Democrats want to forget that. They don't forget about that.
Speaker 11 (32:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (32:58):
No.
Speaker 5 (32:58):
But I guess for me, time wise, it seems like
it became more pronounced during President Obama. I think because
of his last name. It it's so different than what
we've seen before. I think people took off the moniker
of president to just drill down on Obama Obama because
it was such a different type of last name. But again,
it goes back to respect of the office. And I
(33:21):
think Saquon Barkley and Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State. Even
in the face of the backlash that they're receiving for
their appearances with the President, I got to commend them
for standing tall and and saying listen. It's respect. It's
absolute respect for the office, and it's respect for the
(33:44):
sitting commander in chief of this country. And I think
we've lost sight of that again. Just because you disagree
with somebody on different topics does not make them the
devil incarnate. Does does not mean you have to absolutely
have pure hate and disdain for a person. Respect is okay.
(34:10):
You can disagree, but you can still be respectful. But again,
we're one hundred days in. Give us a call or
post on our Facebook page. Give us a grade for
the first one hundred days for President Trump one in
hundred sixty two four eleven seventy. Or shortcomings or most
biggest compliments, A compliments, accomplish Men's so far one in
(34:31):
hundred sixty two four eleven seventy. That music says it's
time to go to a break, But I want to
remind you tomorrow's the day. River City get your entries
in sam at iHeartMedia dot com. You're listening to the
Bloomdaddy Experience news Radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Wwvade number one talk show in the Ohio Valley. This
is no bloom Daddy experience. Your host bloom Daddy. His
goal in form and entertained and tick people off. The
bloom Daddy experience on news radio eleven SEVENTYWVA starts now news.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Radio eleven seventy. It's the Blue Daddy Experience. Hey, it's
eight six. Let's get this hour. Rolling Stocks of Politics now,
Jim or Nacy, former Congress The Blue Daddy Show.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Political analysts.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Jim had a number of polls out Sunday say that
a majority of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the presidency.
His approval rating is between thirty nine and forty five
percent in these three surveys. That's the lowest for any
newly elected president at the one hundred day mark in
more than seven decades.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
We're talking about more than seventy years now.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
When he returned to the White House in January, he
saw an uptick in his favorability ratings, But he's losing
confidence mainly among voters in his ability to handle the economy.
So if you were to give Trump a letter grade
for his first one hundred days.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
What would it be?
Speaker 4 (36:01):
Well, Moondaddy, it's interesting. I do believe his efforts are
in a He's trying to do some things that haven't
been done in a long, long time. The problem is
the strategy and the results. I probably give him a
C minus or D plus. And that's that's the real issue.
If you take a look at some of these things,
(36:21):
each one of them. You know, whether it's tariffs, I
think reciprocal tariffs people love, but what tariffs are doing
to people's furrowing k plan people don't like. You know,
if you look at what removing illegal aliens, people love that.
That's an A plus. But then you turn around and
you see that we're removing families and even most recently,
(36:42):
a childhood cancer that causes people heartburn. Reducing government size
and waste, that's a Everybody loves that idea until they
find out they're losing their jobs, veterans, benefits might be
you know, canceled or eliminated. All of the things have
double issues to them, and that's what's really driving these pulls.
(37:05):
Effort and what he's trying to do AA plus. But
really the strategy and the results of the problem.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
Okay, but those results can change. We live in a
society where everybody wants everything right now, Jim, and you
know that these are results that might take some time,
and people probably don't want to hear that. But if
they do change in another one hundred days or two
hundred days, then what.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Well, the problem is they could get worse, which is,
you know, if you go back to twenty sixteen, people
loved what President Trump was trying to do until twenty
eighteen came around and we had the elections, midterm elections,
and we lost the House, we lost the Senate, we
lost major Senate seats. These are the problems that could occur.
But you're exactly right, there could be some changes. The
(37:58):
problem is the effect is why spread And I my
time with the President in servicing Congress and knowing that
he really wants to get some of these things done.
The real problem is, and I might have said this
on your show before, back in twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen,
he had people telling him, mister President, if you do
(38:19):
some of these things, it's going to cause serious problems,
and he avoided doing them. This time around, he's doing them.
He knows. He only has, you know, three and a
half years. He's trying to get these things done. And
the gamble is, where are we in the next hundred days.
We could be worse.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
The trade wars is that one of them. I mean,
was it a mistake for him to start these trade wars?
Speaker 4 (38:44):
Well only because and a lot of your listeners, I know,
don't agree with what I say When I say this,
I lived through a lot of tariff and trade war
issues back in twenty seven to twenty eighteen on the
Ways of Means Committee. We had multiple people come in,
experts come in and say all of the things that
could happen, and I think, what's going And it's one
(39:06):
of the reasons I am not for these tariff and
trade wars because we first off, our allies are now
getting mad at us, They're going elsewhere, they're trying to
establish relationships with China. These are all the things that
could damage us. And yes, I think that's a real issue.
And prices boomed. They haven't even gone up yet, they're
(39:28):
just starting to tick up. But in six months, if
we continue down this path, you're going to see more
and more prices going up, which is going to be
a real problem for the economy.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Talking to former Congressman Jim or and Acy, are you
seeing people turn on him?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Allies?
Speaker 3 (39:42):
Because I saw a clip with Candice Owens expressing her
regret over voting for Trump.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Were you surprised by that?
Speaker 4 (39:50):
Well, I'm seeing a lot of people. And her issue,
of course, was the Harvard and the potential of taken
away an affecting their first amendmenty. But remember, Sean Hannity
came out and is absolutely opposed to taxing the high
wealthy individuals that Trump is proposing. Elon Musk even came
(40:12):
out and said he is opposed to these tariffs. So
there are people slightly starting to turn on him. But
I also got to tell you, I talked to a
lot of Republicans. I talked to a lot of my
colleagues back in DC on an ongoing basis. They're all
just sitting back and saying, Wow, we just hope this
changes because they know what the effect will be on
(40:34):
them in a reelection in two years. And even though
they're not coming out against I'm starting to see that tendency.
They're not saying anything public, but they are seriously concerned.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
So what do you say to somebody, Jim real quick
before I let you go. And I'm saying it, who says, yeah,
you know what, this is tough and some of this
stuff might work and it might not. Damn I'd rather
be dealing with this than Kamala Harris sitting in that place.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Well that's interesting because that's always the comment that gets made,
even in discussions I have with individuals. Isn't he better
than Kamala Harris? And my response to that would be, look,
I do. Look, I'm a supporter of President Trump, but
I also believe that a House and Senate that is
working in the job they should would have also shut
(41:23):
down at Kamala Harris. The problem, the real problem that
I see today is the House and Senate. And I
got to give them credit. They're letting the president attempt
to get things done. Hopefully it works, but at some
point in time they're going to have to step in.
I think they would have stepped in a lot quicker
with Kamala Harris. You would have got nothing accomplished. I
(41:43):
don't know if that's good for our country either, but
I do know that all three of these branches need
to work in a way that our founders wanted them
where there's checks and balance on each of them.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
All right, Jim, thanks for the time.
Speaker 3 (41:56):
Thank you, all right, Jim and Acy former Congressman Bloo
Daddy Show Political Analysts, Welcome back.
Speaker 5 (42:04):
It's eighty eighteen. You're listening to Glen Daddy Experienced. Sam
and otis here on news Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Before
we move off this topic which we are going to,
I wanted to we did get a listener email from
David said, Trump gets an a on his first one
hundred days. The country needed a big shake up. Big
(42:25):
ideas were needed. To big ideas were needed many people talking,
to many people talking, and to few if any were working.
I'm sorry I didn't read that well. Big ideas were
needed to many people talking and to few if any
were working. So big ideas were needed. Gives Trump an
a and then also a little programming update. I wanted
(42:47):
to let everybody know happening today later here on news
Radio eleven seventy WWVA on the Clay Travis and Buck
Sexton Show today at noon. We don't have an exact
time yet, but during the show, Vice President JD. Vans
will be appearing again with Clay and back here later
(43:08):
today on news radio eleven seventy WWVA. Their show is
on from noon to three, so tune in for that
live interview with Vice President JD. Vans from our very
own state of Ohio otis Otis. Yes, I don't know,
(43:28):
you got anything for me as far as I don't know,
just something fun. No, you've been quiet today, so well
that's because you keep talking.
Speaker 9 (43:38):
Oh well, you know, hey, if you live in Saint Clairsville, though,
they're going to collect your yard waste free of charge.
It's going to be this week. You should place your
yard waste in paper, lawn and leaf bags and then twigs, limbs,
and branches can sit next to your yard waist at
the curb. So be sure to check the city's website
to find out when your area will be serviced. That's
always a good thing to have, say that you don't
(43:58):
have to haul that or burn it or do whatever.
They'll take it away for you. So, City of Saint Clairsville,
anything that you have lawn, twigs, branches, anything like that
when you're cleaning up for your spring.
Speaker 5 (44:09):
Spring clean up, yep, we started that this week.
Speaker 9 (44:12):
As far as like trimming, I have a listen. I
hate for Cynthia bushes, like with a passion.
Speaker 5 (44:18):
Is that the one you told me about last year?
Speaker 9 (44:20):
I had four of them pulled out. Yes, the one
guy broke two toe ropes trying to pull the other
one out. He couldn't. We couldn't get it out of
the ground, Oh my gosh. And then the other one
in the backyard is just like and I hate those things,
Like I know it's illegal to do, but like I'm
gonna dri I'm gonna trim them so much, and then
i'm gonna get those long drill bits and I'm gonna
(44:41):
drill down into them and I'm gonna pour gasoline in
them so they die. Oh okay, so just be aware
of that. I'm not gonna pour enough down there to
make a different.
Speaker 5 (44:51):
Friends and neighbors, be aware it might sound.
Speaker 9 (44:54):
That's all it's gonna do. I'll find something. I'll put
bleach or something in there. I hate those damn things.
Speaker 5 (45:00):
They are like they're like, first which ones are they purple?
Speaker 9 (45:05):
Now they're yellow, okay, and then when they bloom, they're yellow,
and then they're just green and they grow like so
fast it's unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (45:15):
They almost turn into like many trees, don't they something
like that?
Speaker 9 (45:19):
Depending on I trimmed one about three years ago down
to nothing. It's now the biggest bush in the yard.
And I can't stand it. I hate the damn thing.
Speaker 5 (45:30):
Tell us how you really?
Speaker 7 (45:31):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (45:31):
I hate them? I hate them?
Speaker 5 (45:35):
Wow? Okay, okay, no, we started. That's the one thing
about spring that man starting to clean up. Like I've
mentioned before, I live up on a hilltop, and the winds.
This this was a hard winner, wasn't it? Like it
was a long.
Speaker 9 (45:52):
Cold It wasn't that bad. It wasn't cold enough because
I mean it was cold for a short period of time,
but like it didn't get like you needed to get
below freezing for like two weeks because right now, like
even like two weeks ago, the ticks and everything were
out already. Oh yeah, So if you don't have that
long freeze, it doesn't kill the larva and everything else.
(46:13):
So it was it definitely wasn't It wasn't a long
cold winter by any means.
Speaker 5 (46:20):
Oh see, to me, it felt like a long winter.
Maybe it's because I got up so early. Now did
I get to, uh, let.
Speaker 9 (46:27):
Me ask you a question? Oh no, okay, So Let's
say a brinkstruck was driving down the street as you're leaving.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
Oh the cash the yes.
Speaker 9 (46:37):
Okay, and out of the back falls three bags of
money and the money just starts blowing around everywhere.
Speaker 7 (46:44):
What do you do?
Speaker 5 (46:46):
I'm like, yeah, grabbing, collecting it and hitting the road
grabbing one. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (46:52):
Oh not just a bag, I mean just the money.
Speaker 5 (46:55):
The money flies everywhere. Yes, that's even more.
Speaker 9 (46:57):
Yes, Well, that happened in Chicago because bags of money
fell off of Brinks home security company truck. Locals snatched
over three hundred thousand bucks from the street. The truck's
back door opened by unknown means on Tuesday, and it
resulted in three bags filled with money falling onto Austin Boulevard.
(47:18):
Up to one hundred citizens made a dash for the
bills and then fled the scene. No arrests have been made,
so if you took the money, there's a chance you
could be arrested.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
Everything is on camera nowadays. Yeah, that's really hard.
Speaker 9 (47:34):
Not to be like, but it's not your money anyway,
I know, But still that.
Speaker 5 (47:38):
Still would be hard to not feel like you're in
one of those cash machines.
Speaker 9 (47:41):
But if those if I got a twenty dollars bill
or something. I've been in a situation where like you're
around in ATM and you know it probably split the
money out or whatever, and somebody may have dropped a
twenty and the next thing you know, there's a twenty
dollars bill flying around. Well, are you gonna say, hey,
who lost to twenty? Everybody's going to say, hey, I
(48:01):
did okay, But when when when it's something like that,
I don't know if I could take it, like I mean,
especially if there's repercussions. I'm not going to jail for Well, yeah,
that's true. For a couple hundred dollars off of a
Brinks truck, that's true.
Speaker 5 (48:18):
Maybe I'm maybe I'm showing a very bad side of myself.
Speaker 9 (48:21):
Yeah, well we already know you're a criminal.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
Yes, that's me breaking the law, breaking the law.
Speaker 9 (48:27):
Yeah, a little jujus priest there.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
Yeah, it would be hard. Like if you see a
bag full of money explode and it's blowing around you, right,
and you see one hundred dollars bills, like you're in
one of those old school cash and a game show,
how do you not go? And you're you're grabbing as
many as.
Speaker 9 (48:47):
You can let me ask you a question speaking of that,
those money tubes?
Speaker 5 (48:51):
Yeah, yeah, do you stand in vertical money coffee?
Speaker 9 (48:54):
Yeah, and then they blow the wind and you get
you get them thirty seconds to catch as much money
as you can. Did we ever do that here at
this radius in your time?
Speaker 7 (49:01):
No?
Speaker 9 (49:02):
We did it at a station in Fairmont where I
worked back in the early nineties, and that was that
was interesting to say.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
Did you go in?
Speaker 7 (49:09):
No?
Speaker 9 (49:09):
I wasn't allowed. I mean I wasn't allowed because I
was an employee.
Speaker 5 (49:11):
Oh, it was for listeners, it was for okay, okay, but.
Speaker 9 (49:15):
I had to be there with the station manager that
was like six' eight with a patch on his, eye
and just it was intimidating his. Hell LIKE i THOUGHT
i was dealing with.
Speaker 5 (49:27):
A pirate horror.
Speaker 8 (49:30):
R.
Speaker 9 (49:30):
Catch, yeah you, know they fill it with ones and
then there's like ten, fives and then there's like five,
twenties and then there's maybe two fifties and one. Bill
so like you walk out of there with like sixty.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
Dollars now, SEE i would game plan for something like.
Speaker 9 (49:45):
That it's hard to, CATCH i. CAN i can tell
you that the money's hard to.
Speaker 5 (49:47):
Catch, well but here you got to be. Strategic first of,
all you wear something like, overalls shout out To, randy
and you have like an extra pair of boxer shorts
underneath or something with extra, pockets so then you have
plenty of places the stuff that.
Speaker 9 (50:03):
The, bills it's not a. Matter you have to catch them.
Speaker 5 (50:06):
First but THEN i mean get to. That then you
take YOUR t shirt that's over top of the overhauls
the top, part and you put it out like a
like a, parachute and you get into a certain part
down on the in the base and you catch it
while it's on the. Ground you don't even let it
get up in the. Air you have to be. Strategic
(50:29):
i've thought about this. Obviously do you see? What do
you see?
Speaker 7 (50:34):
What i'm?
Speaker 9 (50:35):
What do you need the extra pockets? For because you
should be able to just hold it in your.
Speaker 5 (50:37):
Hand, no, no your hands can only hold so. Much
you stuff it in all the.
Speaker 9 (50:43):
Pockets, OKAY i see what you're, saying because you need
both hands to Grab, yes, yes all, RIGHT.
Speaker 5 (50:50):
I think that's a that's a STRATEGIC.
Speaker 9 (50:54):
I think the rule WAS i THINK i don't.
Speaker 5 (50:56):
Know if they might have to stand. Up maybe that
would be.
Speaker 9 (50:59):
Sure certain rules that they're not gonna let you beat the.
System you realize, that, Right this.
Speaker 5 (51:04):
Is WHY i don't go To. Vegas i'm all about

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Time they.
Speaker 11 (55:41):
Did i'm pretty sure they're the first female hip hop
group to win A. Grammy like they were there at
the earliest days and they were loud and proud about you,
know it was sort of a male dominated art form
and they came and just brought. IT i think everybody
in the world started dressing like that and looking like,
them and their music is terrific and you, know jumping
(56:06):
ahead The White stripes going In, yeah they have some
of our friends from up In.

so many different.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
Genres, yeah you, know.
Speaker 7 (56:43):
It reminds us in a way that rock and roll
isn't one.
Speaker 11 (56:46):
Sound it's all about attitude and, spirit and these artists
have a ton of, attitude a ton of. Spirit it
may sound a little different or have different, rhythms but
it's all pushing the boundaries and it's great.
Speaker 7 (56:57):
Music you.
Speaker 11 (56:59):
Know in addition to the, ceremony we're gonna have a
great exhibit at the museum and all summer this, year

Speaker 7 (59:44):
Probably why is?
Speaker 8 (59:44):
That BECAUSE i was talking to my lovely wife on the,
phone you, guys ranging AND i said gotta, go.
Speaker 9 (59:51):
Well, SURE i understand and hung up on her.
Speaker 8 (59:53):
And you know answer notice and that's you, know probably
not going to end well for.
Speaker 9 (59:57):
Me, well she understands you're trying to sell.
Speaker 4 (59:59):
Car this is.
Speaker 9 (01:00:01):
TRUE i, mean that's that's your bread and.
Speaker 8 (01:00:03):
Butter she has been very supportive of that over the.
Years most, definitely.
Speaker 9 (01:00:08):
She's put up with you for all these.
Speaker 8 (01:00:09):
Years that's. True you, know she lost a best so.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
That's where all that.
Speaker 11 (01:00:15):
Started.
Speaker 8 (01:00:15):
Yeah but, Anyway uh, man what are we down to
the last two days of the.
Speaker 7 (01:00:21):
Month, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:00:22):
Awesome we had a phenomenal, data you know yesterday a great. Weekend.
Uh you, know there's people are getting out because they
understand that this is definitely a buyer's. Market now is
the time to take advantage of not only the inventories
that we have in, place, which as everybody knows by,
now is tear free, pricing on all the inventory that
(01:00:45):
we have in, place both new and pre. Owned. Uh
in addition to, that you, know the poor dealership is
bringing you employee. Pricing you, know you pay with the
employees of for. Pay you, know the same thing with
christ Or, Dodge jeep And ram it's employee. Price and
a lot of these things is not only do you
get the, pricing but you get additional incentives on top of.
(01:01:05):
THAT i, mean you get some great, rebates some phenomenal
interest rates out, there in some cases as low as zero.
Percent i've seen some one point, nine you know for seventy.
TWO i, mean there's some excellent opportunities out. There there's loyalty,
cash you, know where if you're going from you, know
A honda lease to A honda. Lease you, know there's
(01:01:26):
conquest cash where you, know if you're driving a competitive
make and the manufacturer wants you, to you, know to
switch over to their, make they're offering additional incentives for
that as. Well, So, hya it's a great. Time if
you even think you might be in the market for an,
automobile even in the next year or, two now's the
time to do.
Speaker 9 (01:01:46):
It, there you, GO i, mean it, is it is
a buyer's.
Speaker 8 (01:01:49):
Market, yeah and just you, know to make a good,
point you, know just in my own, family you, know
we've looked at a couple of deals that my kids
have done here recently on leases that they're a year.
Out but because of the demand for used, cars they're
able to trade out those leases right now in an
equity position and lower their, payments which is unheard. Of, okay,
(01:02:11):
One i'm lord sixty dollars a. Month went from a
lease to a lease and lorded sixty dollars a.
Speaker 9 (01:02:16):
Month that's a, brainer right.
Speaker 8 (01:02:18):
There, yeah it really. Is it really. Is so, again you,
know take advantage of what the market is doing right.
Now all, right all, right, Now i'm gonna call my, wife.
Speaker 9 (01:02:29):
Call her, back tell Her i'm.
Speaker 8 (01:02:30):
Sorry, OKAY i, will, well she knows you're.
Speaker 9 (01:02:32):
Sorry but that thank, you cheap shot by bye.
Speaker 5 (01:02:39):
BOY i got you, Yesterday, kevin get you.
Speaker 9 (01:02:41):
Today i'm alright with.
Speaker 7 (01:02:42):
That.
Speaker 9 (01:02:42):
Yeah SOMETIMES i gotta let you guys win.
Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
One, well, yeah Sometimes i'm.
Speaker 9 (01:02:48):
Gonna let you win one or two once in a,
while just so it looks like it's an even playing,
field because you, know when it comes to the battle
of the, wits who's going to.
Speaker 5 (01:02:57):
Win, oh, okay, okay just like every other Probably, kevin
who's gonna win, inflating, inflating just like every other man out.
There you mentioned earlier about me speaking more than, you you,
(01:03:18):
know you said something about. That, well on, Average i'm
this little little diddy for. You women speak over thirteen
thousand more words per day than.
Speaker 9 (01:03:28):
MEN i believe.
Speaker 7 (01:03:29):
That OH i do. TOO i do.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
Too we have way more more that we have to
accomplish in a day than aman. Does did you hear
the eye? Rolls? Everybody could you hear? Them because it
was it was quite visual here in the, studio the
eye Roll.
Speaker 7 (01:03:54):
What did the callers?
Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Say tell that?
Speaker 9 (01:03:55):
Woman, yes tell that woman cover herself.
Speaker 5 (01:03:59):
In, honey cover herself and. HONEY i could take that
the wrong, way you, know.
Speaker 9 (01:04:10):
Just figure out. There that isn't?
Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
There oh, god.
Speaker 5 (01:04:13):
And it's not Even friday.
Speaker 7 (01:04:15):
Yet.
Speaker 5 (01:04:15):
People we're gonna drop this On elgin. Tomorrow hopefully she's not.
Listening new research suggests that people are more likely to
trust legal advice given by CHAT gpt than a real.
LAWYER i don't, know depending ON i, MEAN i might
If i'm up on murder, Charges i'm talking to a, Person,
(01:04:38):
Yeah i'm not talking to my, phone going what DO
i do? Next as judge said, this.
Speaker 9 (01:04:42):
Listen notice she said murder. Charges and she's the one
that watches all the crime shows about how to kill her.
Husband so just to let you, know just to let
you know that if Mister sam winds up dead here
in the next five, years who the suspect.
Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
Is, Oh I'm i'm not getting away with. It, No
i've talked about it way too much on.
Speaker 7 (01:05:04):
Here.
Speaker 9 (01:05:05):
NO i, mean if you're just gonna, ASK i MEAN
i COULD i could, SAY i could see maybe using
CHAT gpt just to ask maybe some sort.
Speaker 5 (01:05:12):
Of a basic basic.
Speaker 9 (01:05:14):
Legal, question you, know like you, know is this is this?
Legal is? This does this violate any codes or some you,
know something like. THAT i MEAN i can understand maybe, That.
Speaker 5 (01:05:23):
How do where DO i find information on sure property?
Lines some some General?
Speaker 9 (01:05:28):
Yeah, yeah BUT i mean when it comes right down to,
it you, KNOW i, Mean i'm not going to ask
CHAT gpt About, hey what DO i need to do
to file my? Will what about my divorce pre? Papers
what about? This what about that you, know prenup? Agreement?
Whatever i'm not going to check.
Speaker 5 (01:05:46):
Murder, YEAH i guess mine's more final if you, will.
Speaker 7 (01:05:53):
Then well.
Speaker 9 (01:05:56):
More ways than.
Speaker 7 (01:05:57):
One.
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
Yeah so, WELL i skelegon if she's concerned about.
Speaker 9 (01:06:01):
Losing, yeah, NO i don't think she's going to.
Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Be, OH i doubt. IT i doubt.
Speaker 9 (01:06:07):
It she's uh, well that's how she gets all hurt.
Advice she just goes to CHAT gpt and then preads it.
Around i'm, KIDDING i am. KIDDING i don't want somebody,
going oh my, god is that really what she?
Speaker 7 (01:06:19):
Does?
Speaker 5 (01:06:20):
Oh so that explains. It when you watch all these
these uh law, dramas or you go to a legal,
office they have all those, books it's all for. Show
it's all decorations.
Speaker 9 (01:06:29):
On THE tv.
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Show it.
Speaker 5 (01:06:30):
Is, well, No i'm just, saying so they use the
lawyers use CHAT, gpt the books are ALL.
Speaker 9 (01:06:36):
I don't Think i've ever used CHAT GPT i. HAVE i, mean,
like the Closest i've come TO ai is WHEN i
do a search and it says THE ai answer is
oh me.
Speaker 7 (01:06:46):
Too THAT'S i.
Speaker 9 (01:06:47):
MEAN i wouldn't even know how to ACCESS ai me
neither me.
Speaker 5 (01:06:51):
Neither, NO i don't. KNOW i know people that have
like three or four things on their, phone apps on their,
phone all this different Stuff we actually had somebody speak
at a group That i'm, in and she's going into
all these details about how it can do this and
how it can do. That she s took questions at the,
end AND i don't think she was real happy with my,
Question BUT i, said you, know are humans going to
(01:07:14):
ever like think for themselves?
Speaker 9 (01:07:17):
Anymore?
Speaker 5 (01:07:18):
Yeah are we going to eventually not have to think
for ourselves? Anymore do anything for? Ourselves students write a
paper for yourself like, Well and she got kind of,
defensive AND i wasn't trying to be. OBNOXIOUS i wasn't
trying to be, rude but you, know that's the direction we're.
Speaker 9 (01:07:35):
HEADED i have VIOLATIONS i have to write for my other,
job and IF i could get, CHAT gpt OR ai
to do, THEM i would do it an art beat
because it's just they're the ones that we're doing now
are just so time. Consuming some of the ones that we,
have like for underage buys and stuff like. That for
alcohol is all on our iPad and it's a lot
(01:07:55):
of it's dropped down and then you, KNOW i can
do one of those in maybe an hour for something,
Different AND i started one last night And i'm two
hours into, it AND i don't even have. It it's
not even. CLOSE i mean it's getting close to being
done so and that's just one And i've got like
six of them to.
Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
Write, LISTEN i get. It there's benefits to. IT i,
Mean i'm not saying that there's. Not there's benefits to
chat AND ai and all of that kind of. Stuff
but at a certain point it can go too. FAR
i would think we sound like we sound like old.
Speaker 9 (01:08:30):
PEOPLE i am an old.
Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
PEOPLE i feel like my grandmother. Going get out from
in front of THAT tv in that video. Game you're
going to ruin your. Eyes you don't need, this go
outside and.
Speaker 7 (01:08:41):
Play.
Speaker 9 (01:08:42):
Hey one thing we should, mention starting On may, seventh
if you're going to travel by, air you're going to
need that REAL id to fly within The United. States
most states aren't fully prepared for this. Change in, fact
sixteen states are less than fifty percent. Compliance so a
qualifying REAL idea is usually indicated on the driver's license
as a star in the upper. Right people who do
(01:09:05):
not have a REAL, id you can also use a
passport or enhance driver's license to board domestic. Flights if
you don't have a REAL, id check your STATE'S dmv
for directions and information so that you're gonna need that
On may, seventh which is coming up next.
Speaker 5 (01:09:19):
Week, yes there's a lot of a lot of states
struggling with that situation right.
Speaker 9 (01:09:23):
Now it's not like it hasn't been talked. About, YEAH i,
mean you've had like six years to do it.
Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Right, Right and just a reminder later on today ON,
Wwva Vice president Jd vance will be appearing With Clay
travis And Buck. Sexton the show starts at, noon so
