Speaker 1 (00:01):
See number one talk show in the Ohio Valley. This
is the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain, and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on news radio eleven seventy WWVA starts.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Now, Happy Friday. Listen, folks, did you miss us yesterday?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
I can say that somebody did because I got a
text and say, hey, I can't find your show this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Oh okay, well we're off. I guess they didn't pay
attention to our Facebook page because.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
I said, well, sometimes people don't always have access to Facebook.
Some people are, i know, listen while they drive.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah that's true too. But yeah, so we weren't here yesterday.
So what that did has bumped our Kirk's ice cream
giveaway too this morning. So we're not going to skip
over that for the week. We're gonna still have that
happening today. Just go on our text line, name, phone number,
(01:11):
and then just put Kirks or put ice cream. That way,
we know where you're registering for your chance to win
free a half gallon from Kirks. Now our text line
has changed. We're gonna pound this in. You're gonna be
pounding this number seven zero four seven zero.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
You just remember seventy four seventy yes, seven zero. ESPN's
thirty for thirty. Yes, we are seventy for seventy yes.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
So and then you just started off with Blue Daddy
and then again your name, phone number and winning ice cream.
So we have that. What else do we have? Okay,
we have that. We have George throw Good tickets and
then we also have Ironman tickets for tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
For tomorrow which we will email to you. So you
have those tickes. It's in your hand, yes.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Morning, yes, and there is I meant to look at
this something that the Iron Man is doing for the
flood relief situation that has of course been going on.
It has I'll find it here. I'll fill our bleachers
is what they're calling it. So there, of course are
(02:22):
taking on the Tennessee Hornets tomorrow and those are what
the tickets are for.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
A nasty hornets.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
And what they are asking for is when you come
bring cleaning items to donate. So when you come to
the football game, you are to also bring some cleaning products.
Bleach is one of the biggest ones that you know
they're looking for, So bring those donations with you to
the Ironman game time.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
I know, I know. At our cardio drum class on Tuesday,
it's a free class, so the instructors asked us to
bring cleaning supplies because it's it's held at the house
of the carpenters. To the house of the carpenters doing
their part and there's probably thirty maybe forty thirty to
thirty five people that come to cardio drumming. And the
amount of cleaning supplies that came in rubber gloves, garbage bags, buckets, pails, bleach,
(03:13):
pine and salt, you know, anything, any cleaning product. It
was pretty impressive what the people brought in.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, that's the stage that everything is kind of at now,
is the heavy duty cleaning, the drying out, the sump
pumping of the stagnant water that is laying around now.
So that is a big part of where the cleanup
efforts are at as of right now. To hit on
(03:41):
some local headlines, the City of Wheeling is taking steps,
of course to help the people that have been impacted.
Water bills will be adjusted on a case by case
basis four folks impacted by the storm. Additionally, the city
has waived residential building permit fees and specifically for property
owners who had their homes damaged. Officials have confirmed more
(04:04):
than one hundred homes with significant damage, so the city's
stepping up where they can then. Also, school is out
for the summer, of course, but Ohio County Schools is
offering counseling grief counseling for people impacted by the flooding.
Licensed therapists and certified school counselors have set up shop
(04:25):
at Bridge Street Middle School. Services are free of charge
for people of all ages. The school district will offer
the service for two weeks.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
That's a great that's a great thing because let me
just say this, sometimes, when you deal with something like this,
whether it's the loss of you know, a family member
or friend, neighbor, whether it's you're the loss of your house,
your vehicle, that puts a lot of stress on you.
And sometimes just to go and talk about it and
(04:57):
let it out is a very therapeutic. It's very therapeutic.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well because I mean, in this scenario, for example, your
husband and wife you're incredibly stressed out. Sure well your
partner is going through the same situation, so you don't
want to burden them, so you hold things in and
having this available to folks takes away that feeling of
(05:26):
guilty absolutely, you know. And and if you've seen the
stories on social media, of course, there's the mother in
the in the small child, there's the young man from
Pizza Hut his family, the story of he and his
mother and the mother him just telling his mom, hold on,
(05:46):
hold on, swim, swim, swim, and he perishes. This will
be with these people forever. And you know, we see
for those of us not involved, we see the aftermath.
We have no idea what that night, that early evening
(06:06):
as the sun went down was like for those folks.
And to have this at their fingertips and be able to.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Talk about it, and well, when you feel that your
life is at rock bottom because you've lost your house,
you've lost your possessions, you've lost everything, you know, life
isn't over, you know, And that's the big thing, you know,
bottom line.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Is you gather yourself up and you get back into it.
But sometimes need help. And whether that be financially, mentally, physically,
you know, you people need help. So this is that's
a great service to the High County Schools is doing
for these people.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Yeah, and an update on what is currently needed and
drop off locations because things have been streamlined since as
the week has progressed. I mean initially it was you know,
everybody's stepping up, Go here, go there, or donate here,
donate there. They have began, they've begun streamlining where things
(07:06):
can be dropped off and picked up. So drop off
location number one is the McDonough Center at Wheeling University.
A second drop off location is Guntry up at the
Highlands on Caliber Drive. Now that is for donations. That
is where things can be dropped off. Now if you
(07:26):
have large balk items, so if you have a large
flat of bottled water or cleaning supplies, those are to
be taken to West Banco Arena right downtown here, that
is at eight am. The other drop off locations they
also they begin at ten am, So big balk items
(07:47):
starting at eight am can be dropped off at West
Banko Arena. The other drop off locations open at ten
a m. Now for pickup you can go to the
Tridelphia Methodist Church beginning at ten am and the Valley
Grove Fire Department beginning at ten am. An update also
(08:08):
respects in the Armory Drive locations which we have talked
about those earlier in the week. Those are no longer
drop off or pick up sites. As I mentioned, they
are stream streamlining and condensing the drop off and pick
up locations and I will post this on our Facebook page.
One other thing to update you on. Eight people have
(08:30):
been confirmed deceased, seven have been identified, while authorities are
still working to identify a man's body which was found
Wednesday in the Ohio River, so they are still trying
to confirm the identity of the eighth victim. They are
also searching and actively searching for eighty three year old
(08:52):
eighty three year old Sandra K. Parsons of Tridelphia, who
remains missing. So some updates for you on the flood situation,
in the aftermath, cleanups, drop offs, all of that, and
we will continue discussing that this morning. Because there's also
an update on road restrictions enclosures. We will get those
(09:13):
to you here after the break. It's been a heavy week.
We are gonna have some fun stuff too, so we'll
get into that next. It's seven point fifteen on your Friday,
The bloom Daddy Experience salmon Otis News Radio eleven seventy
WWVA welcome back seven twenty one on this Friday, the
(09:40):
bloom Daddy Experience salmon Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA.
Just a reminder we have chance for you to win
this morning seven zero four seven zeros. Our new text
line started off with the bloom Daddy name phone number.
We're gonna be doing Kirk's ice Cream. It's gonna be
hot this weekend. Down with some ice cream.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Who've got is National Vanilla ice Cream Day too? Oh?
Just vanilla, That's all it is today. It's also a
nice ice cream float Day, I believe, not root or float,
I just float day. So you can whether you you
can put whatever you want, perhaps you coke, okay, orange sprite.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
So anyways, we have plenty of chances for you to when.
Plus we have George Thoroughgood and we have a High
Valley iron Man.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
So well let's let's let's be specific here.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Okay, go ahead, So.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
If you want the Kirk's ice cream and you text
yes seventy four seventy Okay, you have to put Kirks
in the text along with it started off with bloom Daddy,
Kirks your name in front number if you want to
win Ironman tickets. Text seventy four seventy bloom Daddy, first
word Ironman, name in phone number, name in phone number. Yes,
(10:55):
and we've got plenty of we're gonna give multiple You're
gonna be multiple winners today for the iron Man. H
So you know, put your I don't even know how
many sets we have.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
We have. We have two, four packs and a pair.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Okay, so there you go. We're giving away ten tickets
to the Irons tomorrow. So we'll have three winners, four,
four and two.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Put that in there too, whether you want four or
you want two, yes.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
That makes it.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Yeah, So hopefully that's all clear. So just to update,
here's a list back to the the the the cleanup
efforts UH a list of what is currently needed. Lantern
style lights so not flashlights. It covers a bigger circumference
(11:41):
of light. Basically, squeegees are heavily needed. I was talking
to somebody yesterday saying that they are becoming less and
less available here locally. So if you happen to travel
out of the area this weekend, even if you go
north to.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Steubenville, Washington, Yes, New Martinsville.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yes, those are definitely in high high demand push brooms,
cell phone chargers, so if you have some of those
laying around, you have extras whatever those are. Heavily power packs,
power packs, solar chargers, solar charges, safety glasses, flat shovels.
(12:23):
Dehumidifiers are definitely needed. Large heavy plastic totes, box fans
that goes back to the drying efforts, and heavy duty
contractor bags. So not your traditional kitchen garbage bags. The
big black ones are are what are needed.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
So and you know, you can you know, I was
at Minard's the other day. They still have plenty of
cleaning supplies out there, so Minards is a good place
to go. I have not been to Low's or Walmart,
not just picking one place. I was actually in Minards.
So they do have bleach, they do have have rubber gloves,
(13:01):
they do have contractor bags. All that stuff was on
the shelves. I know because I purchased some. So I
mean laundry detergent if you need that. I mean just
the little things that you don't think about well.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
And on social media, I saw this last night, and
this is a really good idea. There are moms here
and Wheeling that will do your laundry there's a group
of moms that have stepped up and said, you know,
give me a load, pass along two or three loads.
My washing drive is working. They will take care of
that for you. So, like I said, from the simplest
of things to the larger necessities, this entire valley has
(13:38):
stepped up and here recently, all we've talked about is rain.
Well this weekend, get ready because we're going to be
under an extreme heat watch. It has been issued beginning
eleven am through eight pm on Wednesday, and this is
happening area wide from Zanesville to Pittsburgh to Johnstown, PA.
(14:01):
Is what the map is showing, so be prepared for that. Also,
this heat wave, we're going from torrential downpours and flooding
begging for the sun to come out to we're going
to be cooked. So enjoy the sunshine, but be diligent
and prepare for it.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
So just I'm going to tie something in here, okay,
so bear with me. We were off yesterday. Yesterday was
June nineteenth. For some people, it was juneteenth, okay, Just
we weren't on the air. So I'm going to say
this a day late. I want to wish a very
happy eighty fifth birthday to my dad turned eighty five yesterday.
Also want to wish a happy birthday to listeners, Buck
(14:45):
Porter Okay and Carrie Vance. Carrie Vance from Vance Printing
and Graphics spoke who we spoke with on Sunday, and
I saw where Carrie posted that Vance Printing and Graphics
is now up and running for business again. They've got
everything cleaned up to where you know, they can start operating.
So if for all your printing needs just head on
(15:06):
out the Advance Printing and Graphics out there on National
Road and the equipment's up and running. There's still some
cosmetic stuff that they're going to be repairing, and you know,
they lost obviously some papers and you know, so.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Their heavy duty printing equipment wasn't.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
No, it wasn't damaged, so that's a big plus. Yeah,
I mean they didn't get a hold. I mean they
only had a couple of inches of water, but you know, so,
I mean, yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
They're on that main drag in Elm Grove, so you know.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
And then also on the main drag in Elm Grove
is Patty's Hair Shop owned by Patti Contregero, and she
has made it's been all over Facebook. She has made
the effort that every fourteenth haircut that she does because
the flooding occurred on the fourteenth between now and August fourteenth,
So every fourteenth haircut she will take that the money
(15:50):
from that haircut and donated to flood relief. She also
has a collection jar for where you can make a donation.
Haircuts are eighteen dollars. Every fourteenth haircut she does, she'll
donate eighteen dollars to flood relief.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Well, and I can speak firsthand that she does a
very good job because she cuts your hair, she.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Whacks my hair, she waxed, you know, she wax it
down for me, and then she in fact, I got
my haircut yesterday, paid for my haircut, left her tip
and a five dollars donation to her flood.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Really and I have to look at this mug every morning.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
So she does do a nice job.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
She does do a nice job.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Yep, yep. So she's right there. It's Patty's hair Shop
right on National Road, across from Dairy Queen, across from
the I think it's advanced auto yes, No, what's the
other one audio AutoZone. So she's across from one of
those anyway, and right next door to Silver Chopsticks.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Okay, well, thank you, Patty, thank you and Vance Printing.
So glad you're back. Open. Listen, it's it takes it.
It takes a village. Right now, it's taken a valley
and we're all stepping up. Seven twenty eight. We're going back.
We're gonna get into uh no.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
We've got We've got Teresa Compudo.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Yes, the Long Island Medium will be joining us because
she's coming to the capital in August. I believe it is.
So we're gonna be talking to Teresa Caputo, the Long
Island Medium, up next. Stay tuned The bloom Daddy Experience.
Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back
(17:28):
to the bloom Daddy Experience. I'm Sam, He's Otis here
on news radio eleven seventy WWVA. Listen. I love this job,
and this coming up next is one of the main
reasons I love doing this job. I get the opportunity,
otis both of you, both you and I get the
opportunity to speak to interesting, fascinating and amazing people.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Absolutely, and this.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Morning coming to the show, you know her as the
Long Island medium. Please welcome Teresa Caputa to the show.
Good morning Teresa, Good.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
Morning Sam, Good morning Otis. It's a pleasure to be
with you all this morning.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
So I'm going to go right off the bat. I
want to ask you, psychic medium, how do you prefer
to be referred to? What is the best way to
explain your gifts?
Speaker 6 (18:16):
I guess the medium. I'm really a small but you
know what, call me a medium? Well, I know that
I have the ability to communicate with people that have died.
You know, I think there's a lot of misconceptions on
especially what I do sometimes with people. I have the
ability to communicate with people that have died. I don't
tell people what to do with their lives, any decisions,
(18:38):
predict anything. And I want people to leave my shows
knowing that there truly is more to life than just
here in the physical world. Heaven is for real, and
more importantly, that the things that go on around them
that they think that are odd or weird or coincidence
or just reminds them of their loved one that has died,
to know that it truly is their loved ones soul
(19:00):
giving them a little hello from heaven and reminding them
that their living life through their eyes at that exact moment.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
A little hello from heaven. I love that statement. I
love that. What a great way of putting it. What
a ga Okay, So you are visiting us here in Wheeling,
West Virginia on August tenth at the historical Capital Theater,
which was built in nineteen twenty eight. I don't know
if you're aware of the history behind the building you're
(19:28):
going to be performing in.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
Honestly, Sam, all of these buildings that I perform and
they are all historics, They all have energy, they all
have a history, and that is what I love visiting
all of these places all over the country. And sometimes
I do pick up other more things in certain places
than others. So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Well, it is rumored that the Capitol Theater has a ghost,
and some people in our offices have seen the ghost.
I have not. I don't know if Sam has. So
the bottom line is it is allegedly haunted. I guess
would be the word.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
Oh. You know, Look, sometimes souls just make their presence
known that they're still there, you know. I refer to
them as the souls of the departed. Ghosts is too
scary for me.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yeah, we don't want to go down that route. But
so a little bit of your history. I mean, you
were a Long Island mom and you have now become
where you're at between you know, the Long Island Medium,
your newest show, raising spirits, the podcast, now the tour
that you're doing. Could you have even imagined the first
(20:41):
time you had your first interaction, I guess with a
spirit of somebody you would be where you are today.
Speaker 6 (20:50):
Oh God, no, Never in a million years did I
ever think where I would be here today. You know,
you have to understand I am still a Long Island mom.
I still live right next door to my parents, the
house that I grew up and right next door, and
I've sensed and feltings since the age of four, and
I always thought that everyone was seeing and feeling what
I did. And because I come from a very spiritual
(21:14):
family and a strong faith family, I am a practicing
Catholic and I always say, even though they don't agree
with what I do, they take my money every week.
But that's a different story that. Because faith is huge
in the work that I do, I know that my
gift is guided by God and a lot of people
after the loss of a loved one, they lose their faith,
(21:36):
they lose faith in themselves. Maybe it is a religion,
and that's something that the work that I do gives
people faith, hope and peace, and that is my wish
for people. And it wasn't until I was almost thirty
that I realized that not only did I have the
ability to connect with my own loved ones, but everyone
else is. And I struggled with my gift for a
(21:57):
long time because I couldn't understand, well, if everyone has
the ability to connect with their own loved ones, why
would they want to come and see a medium. But
what I've learned is that unfortunately, sometimes to believe the
physical world and we hear in the physical world are
less with burdens and guilts. We're left with negative emotions
that do not give us the ability to heal. So
the work that I do is about healing, giving us
(22:20):
permission in a sense to live life with as much
happiness and joy, knowing that our loved ones our living
life through our eyes, and just to embrace those little
signs from them.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
How do you how do you personally take that on?
Because having these delivering these messages to people here in
the in the physical world, Like you said that you
have to take on a lot of emotions, not only
from the person sitting in front of you, but the
person that you're communicating with that can't be seen. How
(22:51):
do you personally handle that?
Speaker 6 (22:54):
It's I was made this way. I believe in know
that this is my soul's and I was built, my
physical body was built to do this work. Because I
am going to tell you, I'm starting to get emotional
because I make what I do look very easy, and
it's the hardest thing that I have to do is
to stand in front of someone and have their departed
(23:15):
loved ones take us on this emotional rollercoaster of feeling pain, sorrow,
and then I want them to give us the gifts
of laughter, bring like that permission to embrace life. And
it's the hardest thing that I have to do. But
I wouldn't trade what I do for anything here in
the physical world, because I hear from the people that
(23:37):
have gotten read or just watched my show or read
my books on how it has restored their life. How
some people didn't want to live anymore and they came
to one of my shows and they found a purpose
and a meaning for their life, and it gave them
the strength to live their life. How many people? I
just recently, probably about two months ago, a gentleman come
(23:58):
up to me and he said I and he was crying,
and he said, I have to thank you, he said,
because I lost all my faith and I was angry
at God and I came to one of your shows
and I went back to my face and I need
to thank you for that.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Again. We're talking to Teresa Caputa. There's going to be
here at the Capitol Theater August tenth. Has there ever
been a message that was so shocking or emotional that
you did not deliver to somebody here on the physical plane?
Did you held back?
Speaker 6 (24:34):
No, I have to deliver every message. For instance that
I mean, they are countless story Sammy. I mean, I
could go on and on, but this just recently happened.
I saw three children lying in a bed in a
row and I just kept hearing like fireworks. And I
asked the woman in front of me, I said, did
(24:55):
you was a child? And I said, did they show
me that they assol together? And she said that her
ex husband murdered her three children lying in a bed
face down and shot them. Oh oh well they sleft,
you know, I mean, you know, these are things that
you know, I would never imagine in the world ever
(25:18):
having to channel you know, channeling someone's child is the
hardest thing that I have to do because no matter
who we lose, death changes us. But our faith is
what carries us, and it reminds us that their love
never leaves us. And that is what I work, the
work that I do, the premise that I work off of.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And again you're visiting us here and Wheeling on August tenth.
For those who are coming to the show, what can
they what can they expect? What are they going to
get to experience with you?
Speaker 6 (25:53):
An evening of faith, hope and peace. You know, I'm
going to probably show up with my hair done, fabulous shoes.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Good nails. The nails will be done too.
Speaker 6 (26:04):
Oh my my nails. But I don't know what's going
to happen. That's the you know, that's the thing I
still say to myself after all these years. I'm literally
when I'm when I'm preparing for my show, doing my meditation,
saying my prayers behind stage before walking out, I literally
say to myself, sometimes you're crazy, Teresa. I have no
idea what's going to happen. You know, any performer has
(26:26):
some type of set or like, you know, some type
of program that they're going to follow. I have none.
All I know is that I have between ninety and
one hundred and twenty minutes to deliver and channel the
souls that it departed. That is it.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Well, it will be absolutely fascinating and you need to
join Teresa August tenth.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Again here, I can tell you this. I can tell
you this, Teresa. We get a lottery quest for tickets
for shows because we have a lot of shows here
at the Capitol Theater. Your show is probably the most
requested for people wanting tickets to see.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
Yeah, it's an amazing experience and honestly, I would like
to invite both of you as a guest just to
come and experience it because it is an experience. It
is something that you will probably never attend in your
life ever again. Be in a space and to feel
energy and to watch to watch someone heel in front
(27:24):
of you is absolutely it's amazing.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Well, I will take you up on that offer absolutely,
Thank you so very much.
Speaker 6 (27:33):
Just yeah, just reach out to have a set up
the interview, and I'd love to and love to meet
you in person, and because when I come back to
Wheeling that you have something to refer to.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
There we go, Yeah, there you go. It makes our
job a lot easier.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Well, Teresa, thank you, thank you so much for this morning,
for jumping on with us. Can't wait to see you
August tenth here in Wheeling at the Capitol Theater and
hopefully somebody out there will get their very own Hello
from heaven. Teresa. Have a great day. Thank you again.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
Oh, thank you you guys to thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Teresa Capudo. Here on the bloom Daddy Experience.
Speaker 6 (28:16):
We are back.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
It is seven fifty two on this sunshiny Friday morning.
I see sunshine. I see sunshine. Which, by the way,
do you notice otis driving in this morning. I was
a little late this morning compared.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
To you, like I ever noticed, Like that's part for
the courses and it like there's very few times you
beat me here unless I'm running, unless something seriously drags.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Me back, say I beat you like earlier this.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Week, mother nature had something to do with that. Oh okay,
not necessarily with me, but with the dogs.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Well, there was one morning. Was it Monday or Tuesday.
I was in here sitting and you came in. You're like, oh,
I didn't know you.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
I didn't. I didn't see you.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Use I'll quiet and stealthy freak you out. Yeah. But yeah,
the sun was out this morning, coming in as early
as we do. Usually we don't get to see the sun.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Until we got here. The sun wasn't even up yet.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Oh okay, well it was peaking through this morning for me.
But that's because today's the first day of summer. I'm
gonna attribute it to that. The summer solstice falls on
June twentieth in the US and on the twenty first
in Europe. That's when the Earth achieves its maximum tilt
toward the sun, making it the longest day of the
(29:33):
year in the Northern Hemisphere and kicking off the official
start of the summer. The closer you get to the
north Pole, the more sunlight you'll get in the evening hours.
Residents in Fairbanks, Alaska, for instance, we'll see nearly twenty
two hours of daylight today In the southern hemisphere. Meanwhile,
(29:54):
today marks the winter solstice, making it the shortest day
of the year, So enjoy it today.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
There's Sam's impression of Bill Ny the science guy.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
It sounded good though, No, not really okay, speaking of douchebag.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Wow, did we just throw that out there?
Speaker 2 (30:16):
I did. That was not in reference to you. Uh,
it's technically the first day of summer, as I just said.
That means it's officially beach season. Time to hit the
surf and stick your toes in the sand. Well except
for that one guy, hopefully it's not your dad. It's
not my dad. That guy that everyone knows.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
This station presents real American douchebags. Beer Man can douge bags.
Today we salute you, mister guy who wears socks and
sneakers to the beach, A guy.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Who wears socks and sneakers to the beach.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
For most a trip to the beach is a vacation ritual.
And you, sir, chose to leave your own mark on
this summertime tradition. And that mark is a Nike logo
and wavy tread pattern in the sand. And you're wearing
high tops every single time. You never flip flap wearing
flip flops. So the next time you're chi laxing with
(31:18):
your toes in the sand, take a moment to salute
the guy who doesn't want to raise your leg in
the air and give a big barefoot wave to mister
guy who wears socks and sneakers to the beach, real
American douchebags.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
The guy who wears socks and.
Speaker 6 (31:33):
Sneakers to the beach.
Speaker 5 (31:35):
Beach volleyball is a thing, beach basketball not so much.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Everybody knows that guy. There's the guy that wears the
socks and the sneakers to the beach. But then there's
the guy who wears the socks and the flip flops,
or the socks in the slides or like hiking sandals,
like they're not tennis shoes, they're not flip flops. That
in between earth. I just I just think dork. I'm sorry,
(32:01):
I'm sorry, I just think dork.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Listen, I do wear if I'm at the beach, unless
I'm going in the water, I will have socks on.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
But you have a medical reason.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
But I've got my feet have been burnt before, and
it's very very very very very miserable, and I can't
afford to get burnt because the medication that I'm on
I tend to I'm more susceptible to burns. So not
only do I have to load my body up with sunscreen,
I just I do not want my feet burnt again.
(32:32):
So I will say this, I am the douchebag that
will wear socks to the beach and if I'm going
in the water, I will take them off just to
let you know.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Oh yeah, I don't know's it's a choice. We'll leave
it at that. It is definitely if I had my choice,
I wouldn't do it. I was being sarcastic.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Yeah, well, I mean I would definitely. I mean I've
been barefoot at the beach before, but in today's in
Otis's world, today Otis has to wear socks at the beach.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Well, we officially yesterday, I took advantage of our day off,
officially booked our vacation for.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
The same week, then come off nice.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
So I coordinated with you look at you going back
to Jamaica. So that sort of it sparked my question
for today, which is what's your favorite place to travel
to you that you go back to time and time again.
It can be a short drive, it can be a
(33:30):
trip overseas, whatever you know, And then what is your
dream vacation, your dream destination that if you had the
ultimate choice of somewhere to go, somewhere to experience, where
would that be? And I posted that, of course on
our Facebook page. Let's see here, Mark says, dream Antarctica?
What well Mark does?
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Mark, Mark, you have issues?
Speaker 2 (33:56):
You're making us scratch our heads this morning, buddy.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
There are people like that though.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yeah, and then his favorite, he said, too many. He's
been blessed to visit thirty three countries in thirty nine states. Nice,
well Mark, congrats to you. I guess when you've been
to that many Yeah, when you've been to that many places,
I guess Antarctica is what you have left. Maybe it's
for you know what's left with you? It is seven
(34:23):
fifty eight. Don't forget seven zero four seven zero. It's
our text line started off with bloom Daddy your chance
to win ice cream from Kirks or Ironman tickets. Just
tell us what you want, either the ice cream or Ironman.
Seven zero four seven zero started off with bloom Daddy name,
(34:45):
phone number, and what you are registering for. Like I said,
it's seven to fifty eight on this Friday. The bloom
Daddy experience here on news Radio eleven seventy WWVA, z
number one.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Talk show in the Ohio. Like, this is the bloom
Daddy Experience. Your host bloom Daddy. His goal inform, entertain
and tick people off. The bloom Daddy Experience on news
radio eleven seventy WWVA starts.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Now, Hey do six, welcome back the bloo Daddy Experience.
Salmon Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Who's ready for
the beautiful weekend?
Speaker 3 (35:31):
That's on tap, Hot and Human. That's okay, I'll take it.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, I'll take it. I will.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Doors are coming off the jeep.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
I might actually get in my pool that's been opened
since mid May.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Normally we're twenty days in the June and I haven't
taken the doors off my jeep. Like it's like something's wrong.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Well, I I said that yesterday. My husband. I said,
look look at the weather. We're supposed to have sunshine
this weekend, Like we could actually use our pool. You know,
it's nothing big, it's nothing fancy, but you know you
pay for the electric, the chemicals and everything else. I mean,
I what did somebody tell me? In the like the
past twelve weekends, it's rained every weekend, but one something
(36:14):
like that just just crazy. But uh yeah we are.
But yes, it is going to be sunny finally and
we all can enjoy it. But just keep in mind
there is an extreme heat watch that is been put
out by the National Weather Service, so.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Tropical. So that's all you're gonna get out of me.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Okay, keep that in mind. Keep that in mind. Drink
plenty of fluids, you know, watch for the older people,
watch for your pats, all of that kind of sunscreen. Yes, absolutely,
it begins. It will be eleven am through eight pm
on Wednesday, so it's this weekend along with the beginning
part of next week. So keep in mind that.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
Keep that.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
I can try out my new jeep cover. About a
jeep cover so that if I have my top and
doors off, you just slide this thing over zippers on
the driver's side door.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Wait a second, so wait, I thought the point of
a jeep was to not like you take the stuff off.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Yeah, but at night, like if it's if you think it's,
if there's a chance of rain or something, you can
put this on and it kind of protects it so
you don't have to put everything back on.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
It's not the cumbersome, just go back together.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Yeah, just like a little jacket.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
I gotcha.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
I got you, So get to try that out.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
I gotcha. And in the night the nice weather and
planning my vacation yesterday, I'm going to Jamaica.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
But it kind of inspired the question for today, which
is what is your favorite place, favorite place to travel to?
But also what is your dream vacation destination? So what
is your favorite place? Otis You've been to a lot
of places.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
See here's this is what I I don't like to do.
I mean, I don't mind going back to a place
if I liked it, I don't want to make it
an annual event. I like to try different places. So
I mean I have God, I don't know how many
friends they go to Myrtle Beach every year the same
week and blah blah blah blah blah. I mean, and
(38:14):
I get it. That's what they like. For me that
I would, I would shoot myself because I you know,
first off, I'm not a huge Myrtle Beach person. I
would rather go to Florida, to the Caribbean, down to
I mean, I've been to Cosammel, which is cool. I
was there twice, I mean, I was I've been to Ireland,
(38:37):
I've been to England, Scotland, Germany, the Netherlands, you know,
through Belgium, just you know, so I would like to
experience more more. I like different things. So what was
the gentleman? He said he'd been to how many countries
(38:58):
in thirty nine states?
Speaker 2 (38:59):
Thirty three country in thirty nine states, So.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
He's got me beat on countries and states. But I've
been to thirty five states, I think maybe thirty six.
So I'm the Upper the Upper West, and of course
Alaska and Hawaii. I haven't been to the only state
that I haven't been to in the East, well, two
states are Vermont and Maine.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
And see, your your travel isn't weather dependent. I know
a lot of people think vacation. They think sun, sand, surf.
That's that's when I think vacation. That's where my my
brain goes. But you've got you.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Well, mine's a little different this year, you know. I mean, obviously,
the the the World Transplant Games are in Dresden, Germany,
and that's why I'm going to Europe in August. So
I'm going to you know, going to compete, you know,
just like I did last year in Birmingham, but obviously
different sports. I'm going to do some things that I've
either a never done or have done once or twice.
(39:55):
So and I'm revisiting a sport that I haven't done
for a long time, which is basketball. They have three
on three basketball team. USA is actually going to have
three teams. So I signed up to for Lutton for Punishment.
We'll see what happens. I got to get out there
(40:16):
and start shooting the rock and the other thing I'm
going to try in my friend, my college roommate who
was a track and field athlete and officiates track and
field now and I'm going to reach out to another
friend of mine. I'm going to try the shot put.
I've never done it before. So I actually purchased a
shot put off at Amazon.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
How much was the shipping on that.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Free from Amazon? So?
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Well good because by what?
Speaker 3 (40:41):
And I'm going to bowl. I haven't bowled in ten years,
twenty fifteen years. I'm going to try that. I'm going
to do that because you've always done dark darts yep.
And then I'm going to do patonk which is a
French version of bachi okay so which I did in Newcastle,
England in twenty nineteen.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
If I heard petnk, I would but tonk or.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Put tonkye pe t e q u e. Oh yeah,
when there's a little accente gou or accente grav, I said,
it's my French. That's the anything I remember. I don't
even remember which is which.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
I took French too. I couldn't tell you either. I
remembered nothing from French class.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
Yeah, I mean where I fell behind in French and
geometry was I missed a week of school because my
dad went to a conference in Miami, so we went, well,
I missed that week and then while I was in Miami,
I get the mumps, so I was off. I was
out of school for like twelve days.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
Oh so yeah that would.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
And so when you're twelve days behind and geometry and
French forget it?
Speaker 2 (41:44):
Yeah, that does it to you? Well? Well, where did
all the how do we get to that?
Speaker 3 (41:47):
I don't know. We're talking about vacation.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
We're talking about vacations. So what we were asking you
on our Facebook page is where is your favorite place
to travel and what is a dream vacation? I said,
my favorite place to travel is Jamaica. Keith on Facebook
agrees with me. Glenn says he loves to travel to
the Philippines and his uh go to or I'm sorry,
(42:12):
his favorite or his dream is the Maldives. That's not
that's not a bad uh, that's not a bad hope
for I love Jamaica, Absolutely love Jamaica. It's my favorite
island to travel to. I love the people.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
I why'd you smile when I said that? Ah, little tell?
There was a tell there?
Speaker 2 (42:41):
No. I like the cake guy who is on the beach.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Uh huh, what's in the cake?
Speaker 2 (42:50):
It's got wonderful.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
There's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Yes, on vacation anyways. Absolutely love that island, Love the folks.
My dream island to go to is the Seychelles. It
is just stunningly gorgeous or Bora, Bora somewhere like that.
But I have always wanted to go. And this is
actually kind of sad. I have never been west out west.
(43:20):
I would love to go to like Montana, North Dakota
to see that part of our country.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Yep, Montana, Montana's on my bucket list.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
Yeah, there's there's so many films and TV shows that
I have watched, big sky Country that have been filmed
there that I just want to see it in person
because if it is that breathtaking on screen, what it
could be like in person.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Well, having been to Wyoming, Utah, Colorado place, you kind
of get that same feel. I mean, yeah, yeah, you know,
just to just you know Montana. I met a guy
from Montana when I was bartending years ago, and he
was just amazed that you could be in three states
within like minutes because the way he came in from
(44:07):
the airport, he came twenty two so he was in Pennsylvania,
West Virginia, Ohio in less than five minutes.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
Yeah. Well, just a reminder, you can comment on our
Facebook page about this topic, and of course our text
line seven zero four seven zero for your chance to
win Kirks, for your chance to win Ohio Valley Ironman.
We just need your name and phone number. Start the
text off with bloom Daddy the number again, seven zero
four seven zero.
Speaker 3 (44:33):
Also put in if you want Ironman or Kirks. And
if you want Ironman, do you want four tickets or
two tickets?
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Yeah, so we're putting a little of the work on
your shoulders this morning for that.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
But you know, you get to type in a couple
extra digits.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
All right, it is eight fifteen. We're gonna jump to
a quick break the bloom Daddy Experience, Sam and Otis
News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. We are back eight twenty
one on your frime Day morning. Thank you for tuning in.
The Blue Night Experience, Sam and Otis News Radio, eleven
(45:05):
seventy WWVA. We're talking travel vacations, We're talking heat wave, weather, sunshine.
I see sunshine poking through the front doors of the
Capitol right now. How about some celebrity birthdays. John Goodman.
I love John Goodman. I adore John Goodman from his
(45:29):
days on Roseanne. I just I've always said there's something
about him anyways. John Goodman is turning seventy three years
old today. Nicole Kidman. Nicole Kidman is turning fifty eight
(45:49):
years old. Fifty eight years old, and there is not
one wrinkle on that face. Nicole Kimmen fifty eight years old.
And then again, today is officially the first day of summer,
(46:09):
So enjoy it. Enjoy the weekend, because we're gonna have
a gorgeous one. We're gonna have a hot one. So yeah,
there we are, But again, Nicole Kimbnen fifty eight years old.
Otis does she even remotely look fifty eight?
Speaker 3 (46:22):
No, she never really did anything for me anyway.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
Well, money can money fights the wrinkles, We'll put it
that way, fights the aging we have on the phone, Bill, correct, Yes,
from the Shriners of Cyrus Shrine Shriner's Temple in Elm Grove.
Speaker 7 (46:40):
Good morning, Bill, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
So you guys have been working volunteering since everything that
happened this past weekend, of course in your neighbors in
val Valley Grove and tried Alphia. Can you update us
on everything that you are doing and how folks can
help you guys out.
Speaker 7 (47:04):
Well, actually things have been sort of amazing, is the
response to from the neighbors who weren't affected by the flood.
And we're hoping to do even more. But right now
(47:29):
we have We've spent a lot of hours. I've had
put out the call, and of course as soon as
I heard what was happening there, I live in Morgantown,
so but as soon as I heard what was going
on there, I started to think of ways we could help,
(47:52):
and we tried serving food, but we found out that
there were a lot of people doing that. Emergency Services
told us the fire departments pretty well had that handle.
So our next thought was to get supplies. So we
(48:14):
put out the word that we were needing supplies to
help people close, cleaning supplies, toys, a little bit of everything.
So right now our building is kind of filled. We
(48:36):
spent many many man hours. I had I don't know
thirty volunteers there the last couple of days, and we
have shorted everything into on tables by size, tables full
(48:57):
of cleaning supplies, tables full of things like soap and
toothbrushes and shampoo, and we have slash lights, we have
work gloves, pretty much all that we could think of.
(49:23):
And we wanted to let people know to come and
get what you need, and we and we have people
there that'll help carry for you. We go go around
fill up your bags with clothes by size, and that's
(49:50):
where we're at.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
Great and when are you going to be open this
morning and this weekend for folks who want to come
out and pick up things.
Speaker 7 (50:02):
We will be there today from UH ten till six,
and we are going to stay open at least Monday
through Friday about ten to six. The weekend is a
little tough. I mean, we you know, we're all over
(50:25):
the state and we have a big event, a golf
oulding event that's a fundraiser down in uh Preston County,
West Virginia here and so I Saturday right now, trying
(50:52):
to get some people, but I don't know that anyone's
gonna be there.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Okay, So happening today, you guys are from ten to six,
will be you'll be doors are open, Volunteers are there,
can pick up essentials or anything that is needed. And
then beginning Monday, we'll just say Monday ten to six again. Yeah,
all right, wonderful.
Speaker 7 (51:14):
We'll be all week next week, and and we're going
to keep try and keep this galling for like a month.
One of the things we noticed that happened in emergency
serves that lots of places, you know, try and do
these things and yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
They're yeah, yeah, they're currently streamlining, streamlining, stream lining everything
so that everything's in essential place. Bill. I'm sorry, I've
got to cut you off. We've got to go to
a quick break. But of course, thank you for everything
that you're doing and helping out in our community. And
we'll post this information for everybody.
Speaker 7 (51:54):
All right, thank you very much for allowing me to.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Speak absolutely everybody. It's eight twenty eight. We're gonna jump
to a quick break. You're listening to The bloom Daddy
Experience salmon Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA A thirty
(52:20):
six Welcome back the bloo Daddy Experience, salmon Otis News Radio,
eleven seventy WWVA. We want to give a last call
for your chance to register to win through our text
line seven zero four seven zero or seventy four to
seventy as Otis likes to say, that's our text line
(52:44):
seventy four to seventy.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Multiple chances for you to win Kirk's ice Cream. So
seventy four seventy bloom Daddy. Then put Kirks in your
name in funt number yes or seventy four seventy bloom Daddy, ironman,
and whether you want four tickets or two tickets, and
then your name and number phone number, and.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
We cannot stress enough name and phone number.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
That's the only way we can get a hold of you.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Yes, I can't tell you how many we get that,
just say iron bloom Daddy. Okay, So we need your
name and your phone number because.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
We can't read minds and we're going to be giving
away George Thurgood two sets of George Thurgood four packs
at the end of the show. So clue, hint, hint, hints. Hey.
One thing I wanted to go back on that we
mentioned in the first hour Patty's Hair Shop, which is
out on National Road, across from Dairy Queen, next to
Silver Chopsticks. It's in the front part of the building
(53:44):
Patty's Hairshop. She is donating the haircut fee for every
fourteenth haircut because the flooding occurred on June fourteenth. Every
fourteenth haircut now through August fourteenth is she will donate
the cost of a haircut. Will cost haircut is eighteen dollars. Okay.
So Also what I forgot to mention, there's at least one,
(54:06):
I think maybe two anonymous donors that said whatever she raises,
they will match. So another reason, another reason to go
get your haircut at Petty's at Patty's Hairshop on National Bread.
So listen, Patty Country go cuts my hair. So does
next job.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
If it's fifty bucks, it becomes one.
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Hundred bucks or one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 2 (54:25):
Oh because you said two.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
I think there's I think there's two. I know there's
one for sure. I think she told me yesterday there's
somebody else that wants to do it as well, so
they will match.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
Okay, wonderful.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
If she raises five hundred dollars, then that becomes fifteen hundred.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
Okay, all right. And we just got a message from
Eric on Facebook that is flood assistance supplies and help
with cleanup are available for those affected by the recent
flooding phone number three zero four six five zero eleven
seventy five, and that is from the National Road Church
(54:59):
of Christ again, that is three zero four six' five
zero eleven seventy. Five and he sent me the graphic
AND i will share that on our social. Media so
everybody is everybody is stepping.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
Up you. Know here's the. Thing AND i didn't tell
you THAT i was going to go, here AND i
apologize for.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
That.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
Okay for as many people that are stepping, up there
are those out there that are taking advantage of this.
SITUATION i have a cousin that had a story shed
In phliadelphia and before they could get there as some
of their stuff got damaged and could be thrown. Out
it got, looted and people took nothing of, value but
(55:45):
some sentimental things that were like their daughter's awards and
achievements for some of the things that she had in,
school so like certificates and ribbons and metals and things like.
That people just grab their totes and throw them in
the truck and took. Off, also there Are i'm gonna
call them WHAT i think they. Are they're. Scumbags yeah.
(56:08):
THAT i have a friend THAT i went to high
school with and she lives on one of the roads
that are, impacted but they're on the hill so that
nothing happened to. Them their neighbor went to the one
of the flood relief places and basically loaded up his
truck with, bleach water, mops basically the cleaning. Supplies he
(56:32):
has Zero this person had zero flood, damage but they
just went and got the free. Stuff so that that,
person if you're that, person you are a despicable.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
Scumbag there's a special, place.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
Yes for folks like. THAT i, mean if you're if
you're that cheap that you need free. Stuff AND i
almost just said a bad word. THERE i, mean IF
i like she witnessed him unloading his. Truck if that
would have been, ME i would have gone over and
beat the living tar.
Speaker 2 (56:59):
Out OR i would have won over with my phone
and videotaped it and put it in his face and
say how much damage do you?
Speaker 3 (57:07):
Have and ALSO i have you, know obviously with my other,
JOB i have a lot of contacts in law. Enforcement,
yeah and they would have been they would have been
the very next phone.
Speaker 6 (57:15):
Call.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
Yeah LIKE i, said there's a special place in you
know where for folks like. That you, KNOW I i
put it.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
Up if you see that, happening call call them. Out,
yeah post their, pictures post their, names post whatever on social.
Media call the cops on, them because that that's just. Ridiculous,
yeah it's.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
Despicable that's That's those are crappy human. Beings here's the
other thing you were talking about that also be diligent
about crowdfunding, websites. Scams they're already. Starting they have. Started
the one THING i will, say friend of show The
United way of The Upper Ohio. Valley they have a
setup if you want to make a monetary, donation The
(57:58):
United way is. There you can easily go to their,
website go to their social. Media there ARE qr codes
that will take you directly to any type of monetary
donation you would like to do, so and it's safe
and it's secure in the money, stace and.
Speaker 3 (58:13):
If you want to donate to, something just don't. Donate
do some due, diligence make some phone, calls see if
the site's, legit see who's running, it call and back
it up because you want to do something to check law.
Enforcement they'll tell you if it's a fake site or.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
Not you want to do something, good but also do
not let yourself be taken advantage. Of so be, diligent
be careful and make sure you're just verifying and making
sure that what you were doing and where you were
putting your personal. Information if you're using a credit card
on things on the crowdfunding, sites you know you're putting
(58:51):
yourself at risk. Too so, again those scammers are out. There,
unfortunately that's an, unfortunate unfortunate portion of what happens when
we have catastrophic events like. This there are the wonderful
people that will do everything they possibly can to step
up and help their. Community there are also those that
(59:14):
will do everything they possibly can to take advantage of
the situation And, unfortunately we're starting to see more and
more of. That that leads perfectly into our guests who
just got into the, Studio Ryan, Jay so please welcome.
Him welcome him. Now if you haven't heard this, name
and if you haven't seen this floating around on social,
(59:36):
MEDIA i was sent this video last night and been
working to get a hold of it and get you
on the show this. Morning So, ryan first of, all

what you have done to help out here in the flood.

past victim of flooding, myself you, know it really hits
home for. Me SO i wrote this song to try
to gain as much attention to the cause as possible
of helping these people and getting them the help that they.
(01:00:15):

match up so poetically and it drives home the message
of what folks are dealing. With give Some give. Us
(01:00:52):
i'm not going to put you on the spot and
ask you to, sing but give us some of the
best lines in the song that you feel are. Moving you.
Speaker 8 (01:01:00):
Know WHAT i felt like was most important was the
fact THAT i, said the valley is with you because we.
Are you, know The Ohio valley is made up of
great people who are there to help in times of
need like, this AND i saw that myself WHEN i
was a victim of. Flooding and you, know the people
around this valley are so great and heart felt that
(01:01:24):
it's astounding to see the amount of volunteer work coming,
in you. Know and LIKE i, said some of the
best lines were that were here for you and you.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Pulled i've got to ask you did this so, Quickly
so this had to have really hit you that and
you were able to write it so.
Speaker 8 (01:01:46):
Quickly, yes, yes absolutely it. Did and you, know LIKE i,
said the inspiration for the song was seeing the devastation
AND i wrote it in probably about twenty five, minutes
BUT i wrote it from the. HEART i wrote it
from you, know past, experiences from What i've dealt with.
Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
Myself.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Wonderful, Well, jay thank you so much for popping. In
this is kind of, impromptu but again it is on
Our facebook. Page please go share it it to as
many places as you can because it really again gets

of our. Own So, jay thank you so. Much this,
