Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey, thanks for listening, and welcome back to the Brian
Mud Show. Time now for today's top three takeaways. Colly, TikTok,
econt aliens, and a shutdown. We're loaded for my takeaways
here today, Let's start with tall tales. Yes, the indictment
of Comy came down boxes Gentley Painter.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Both alleged crimes relate to Comy's September twenty twenty testimony
to Senate Judiciary Committee. President Trump hosting in park quote
justice in America. One of the worst human beings this
country has ever been exposed to is James Comy. The
former corrupt head of the FBI, Attorney General Pam Bondi,
also posting in park quote, no one is above the law.

(00:45):
Comy himself responded to the indictment as well in an
Instagram video. My heart is broken for the Department of Justice,
but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system
and I'm innocent, So.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Let's have a trial.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Comy will be arraigned October in Alexandria, Virginia.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I don't know what's better Tall tails Comy working on
in an Academy award for the best appearance by someone
pretending to be innocent or Joel's acting out of James Tomy.
Between that, it's just Joel is in the UH. Joel's
in the control room acting out comy. He is he

(01:22):
spending time with UH with Spartacus. Maybe that's where the
lessons have come in.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I mean, it's something's going on. It's a pretty good
performance right there. It's pretty compelling. You know, the the
lines were well rehearsed. You had some dramatic effect added
in there.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Let's go to trial. Yeah, even the breadthiness of it,
it was a good, solid performance right there. I think
most directors would be proud. I'm gonna go find some
more shells in the meantime. Yeah, well, and here in life.
So as I said yesterday and I will repeat now,
I think he's gonna have plenty of time to find
mysterious shell formations that he finds to be appealing. And

(02:01):
the reason is I don't believe he's going to be convicted.
I said this early this year, when people are starting
to get their hopes up, when Pam BONDI said, yeah,
we're going to go get them. And I said it yesterday,
I'll see it today. Now the indictments have come down
first and foremost, let's talk about what's real here and
the grand scheme of what Comy is allowed to have done.

(02:21):
This is nothing we're talking about lying to Congress, the
underlying circumstances, the actual conspiracy itself, his key role in
carrying out the Trump Prussia collusion hoax. That's not what's
on trial here. Let's say for a moment he actually
did get convicted on both of these charges, and they
threw the book at him. He got max, he'd be

(02:42):
in jail for five years. That's it. That gives you
an idea of in the grand scheme of the charges
that we're talking about here, the severity of it, when
in reality you probably have to go back to Benedict
Arnold to find somebody who says underhanded to try to
undermine our government from with Annis James Comy. Now the
reason I don't think anybody should get their hopes. So,

(03:03):
I mean, if you want the show trial, you're going
to get that. It looks like good chance of that
because Comey said he let's go to trial. He's already
saying that, and if I were him, I would The
reason I go back to James, to John Durham you know,
he had so much work. His research was incredible. He
started the prosecutions the first two actors involved in the

(03:25):
Trump Russia coclusion hoax, the preparation and the Steele dossi
and all that, and it went nowhere. DC jury would
not not even a single juror wanted to wanted to
convict either one of them. I talked about the assassination
culture in this country after the assassination of Charlie Kirk,

(03:49):
and I touched on it again earlier this week. You
have up to fifty five percent of those who identified
the political left anywhere in the spectrum. We talked a
lot about autism spectrum anywhere on the spectrum of the
Democrats spectrum. Compared in contrast, the up to fifty five

(04:10):
percent of anybody to the political left that thinks that
at a certain level it's acceptable to assassinate Donald Trump.
What are the odds that you're going to have a
jury in a jurisdiction that is dominated by Democrats that
say's just outside of DC convict James Commy. These people

(04:34):
are more likely to hand him a medal if they could,
so that I will. I want to be wrong, as
I've said, right. I want to be wrong. I want
to believe injustice and that juries will do the right thing.
It's possible I want to be wrong, So hopefully a
jury will eventually prove me wrong here, but I will

(04:56):
believe it when I see it. My top takeaway is
actually about the economy much stronger than expected. So the
US economy has been a lot stronger than expected. And
the thing about economic data is that by the time
we get it, it's stated, and by the time we
get a truly accurate picture of what's happened, it's way
in the rear view mirror. And so next Tuesday marks
the end of the third quarter in the federal government's

(05:17):
fiscal year. However, it was just yesterday that we received
the Bureau of Labor Statistics final revision for the second
quarter GDP. And usually when a revision comes in, it
doesn't make much news. Yesterday's revision huge, huge, So the
final second quarter of growth rate stood at three point
eight percent, that is up from the original three percent

(05:38):
that was reported. Now, with revisions that big, it appears
it's an especially good thing that President Trump did replace
the previous BLS head that created all these nonsensical original
numbers that have been revised so much. So. What this
means is that for the first six months of the year,
the economic growth rate, despite literation Day, Tara fears, and

(05:59):
all the other things, was one point six percent. That
is a far cry from recession territory. But more importantly,
as we're set to wrap up the third quarter, the
economy is coming in hot. It appears to be a
lot stronger than expected or had been reported. So the
Atlanta Federal Reserves GDP nows have been for third quarter
growth is three point three percent, and that was before

(06:20):
the massive second quarter growth revision. So the last time
we had two consecutive quarters with economic growth above three percent,
which indicates a strong economy, was two years ago. But
here's the problem. Back then, the inflation rate was higher
than the economic growth rate, meaning we weren't even growing
fast enough to keep up with the rate of inflation,

(06:40):
meaning things got worse for you. What's different now the
economic growth rate is well above the inflation rate, which
is below three percent, meaning that the average person, the
average family is getting ahead again in this economy. That
is huge, especially with lower interest rates that are now
here lower interest rates still that are expected there's a

(07:02):
lot that you can take a look at going forward
now and feel pretty good about. My second takeaway today
is about aliens. But first TikTok.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
The agreement implemented by President Trump would give a majority
of TikTok's ownership to a group of American investors run
by a board committed to protecting data and national security.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
It's going to be a secure as you can be
because of the ownership and the people, and they have
a big.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Investment, you know, it's to their advantage to make sure
it's good and safe.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Under the deal, TikTok is valued at about fourteen billion dollars.
Last year, Congress passed a law shutting down TikTok in
the US unless it's Chinese controlled owner Byte Dance divested.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
I gotta tell you, I just in the grand scheme
of things, what And I actually did a double take
when I first saw that the implied value in this
deal was fourteen billion. I'm like, surely they're missing at
least one zero here. So let me tell you a
little bit about this. A lot of people take a
look at this and go, oh, okay, deal in fourteen billion.

(08:07):
It sounds like okay, it's a lot of money. I
guess in business whatever all I could think of is,
oh my gosh, how was I not part of this deal?
So to explain the technology alone, just the algorithm, just
the TikTok interface, Your low end estimated value on that

(08:31):
is eighty five billion dollars and probably more like one
hundred billion by the time you factor in the users,
the data, and the existing revenue model. The low end
estimate by CNBC provided within the past couple of weeks
was around three hundred and thirty billion dollars, and in

(08:54):
the competitive situation, you're probably talking about something closer to
four hundred billion, not fourteen four hundred billion. If this
actually goes through like this, it is the single greatest
deal that Donald Trump, the man who wrote the art
of the deal, has ever negotiated. And it's not particularly close.

(09:17):
I'm thinking about that. I'm like, in real time, the
lousy end of purchase I don't think was even as
good of a deal as this would be for those
but it just wow. Now we're talking with our White
House correspondent John Decker, and he brought one good point.
Trump has announced this, China has not, so is it
a done deal? We'll see, all right. So about the

(09:41):
two million man march, My second takeaway today, we've had
a two million man march out of this country. So
throughout the course of the summer, with each of the
monthly jobs reports, there had been a growing trend that
pointed to something potentially massive taking place in the workspace,
far fewer illegal immigrants within it. And as I noted
earlier this month, the storyline I've been tracking for months

(10:05):
that showed up yet again in the most recent report
is the extraordinary diconomy and foreign born jobs loss in
comparison to American jobs added. But there is so much
more to the story, and the reason we're seeing job
losses is a potentially great thing for the average American employee.
What is that thing? There are one point one million
fewer born workers in the United States workforce since the

(10:27):
start of the Trump administration, and I've used that information
to infer that there had likely been well over one
million self deportations of illegal immigrants that had taken place,
while also pointing out that the weak jobs numbers were
not inherently a sign of a weak economy, but rather
the rotation of illegal immigrants exiting the workforce. With more

(10:49):
Americans that would be able to step into it. Well,
now we know that has in fact been taking place.
The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed a record number
of deep ortations have been taking place. According to DHS,
as of this week, over two million illegal aliens have
deported this year, most of them by choice. According to

(11:11):
the fact sheet, four hundred thousand formal deportations have now
taken place, while one point six million self deportations have
taken place. Additionally, we've had four consecutive months of zero
illegal immigrants getting access to the country, in a ninety
seven percent reduction in attempted border crossings. So to put
this in another context, through the first eight months of

(11:31):
the Trump's Trump Administration's policies, nearly as many illegal immigrants
have left this country has had gained access to it
through Biden's open border policies during his last year in office.
So we're almost at the point now where we've undone
one year worth of Biden damage. The net illegal immigration
under the Trump administration has equaled eight thousand fewer illegal

(11:56):
aliens in this country per day. That is huge in
so many ways, from the abuse of government programs including
affordable housing to the job market, inflation rate, greater safety
in communities. So it remains to be seen if it's
going to make it more difficult to progress from here.
For example, have those who are willing to self deport
already done so? However, what is clear is that historic

(12:18):
progress has been made and is continuing to be made
every single day, and that leads me to my third
takeaway today, Bring on the shutdown. Fox's Raine Mills.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
Florida Republican Congressman Greg Stuby on the Fox Business Networks
Mornings with Maria says the Senate should bypass the sixty
vote threshold needed to break the filibuster on a Republican
plan to keep the government open. Why should Chuck Schumer
determine and negotiate what happens to the American people when
we have the majority. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer wants

(12:48):
certain healthcare provisions attached to the package to get votes
from Democrats. Republicans argue those issues should be dealt with separately.
The government funding deadline is September thirtieth, so.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Republicans have already passed a government spending plan in the
House that funds the federal government. When the new fiscal
year begins next Wednesday, so there doesn't have to be
a partial government shutdown. However, today Chuck Schumer and his
Senate Democrats have filibuster to vote to block its passage
because Republicans haven't met their higher spending demands. But President
Trump now calling their bluff. If Democrats do decide to

(13:21):
hold the line demanding more spending, what they may do
is far more dozing than even Doze ended up doing.
President Trump has ordered all department heads to come up
with reduction enforced plans, so would permanently shrink government agencies. Now, ordinarily,
when there are partial government shutdowns, impact to government employees
have been effectively provided paid vacations, as spending plans have

(13:44):
always brought the government employees back to work with pay
for the work that they didn't do. It's always been
insane in my view, but nevertheless, this time around, it
appears likely that if a partial government shutdown does happen
next week, there could be hundreds of thousands of permanent
vacations unpaid the non essential government employees would be introduced

(14:05):
to So if a partial government shutdown equals smaller government permanently,
oh heck you bring it on,
