Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is five thirty five. Good morning spar my annual
pre Thanksgiving tradition, my eight keys for success. We are
up to the third one, which happens to be the
sliding scale of morality. You know, we all have a
sliding scale of morality. None of us are perfect, hopefully

(00:21):
none of us are pure evil. So on a scale
of one to ten, with one being evil ten being perfect, yeah,
we're all somewhere in between. But we're also not static
numbers on that scale either. So on this scale, five
represents neutral, someone who's neither inherently good or bad, just

(00:46):
kind of there. Someone who wouldn't go out there, wouldn't
help others, but also wouldn't intentionally harm anyone. And we're
all somewhere on the scale, but some start higher and
some seem to slide further than others. Here's the concept.
Let's say, for example, you're an eight at your best,
perhaps at you're worst, you're a five. In that scenario,

(01:08):
you're generally notnest and decent person, and even when you're
kind of the worst version of yourself, you still wouldn't
intentionally hurt others. However, let's say someone starts at as six, well,
they could very easily become a three when they're at
their worst. That person would seemingly be a decent person

(01:28):
at best, but dishonest and harmful at worst. In our lives,
it's important to surround ourselves with those who won't hurt
others during times of adversity, and to be mindful of
those in our lives who are willing to do so.
It's how good people become duped by those that aren't.

(01:48):
And we'll talk about people. Somebody's a two face. Now,
on one hand, they seem like they're gray, and then
you know, the moment something at south. I mean, look
at them all right, until one's face with adversity, it's
really hard to tell what they're capable of, or what
the strength of one's character might be. It's where the
saying that you know what somebody's made of during times

(02:09):
of adversity where it comes from. We're all sinners, we're
all flawed, we all fall somewhere along the sliding scale
of morality, and a lot of us are inclined to
judge people at their best, and that's where sometimes trouble
can come in. We need to also make sure we've
accounted for the worst that happens to be in people

(02:32):
that we're close to, especially all right. The Eight Keys
for Success continues with the Millionaire Plan next
