Andrew Smith was fishing at Pensacola Beach when a teenage
girl ran up to him and told him her friend
was being pulled out by the riptide and was drowning.
Smith can't swim, but he had a drone for shark spotting,
so he attached a flotation device to it and flew
it out to her. The first time he missed, but
the second time he dropped another flotation device and it
was a success.

The girl's father was effusive with praise.

He talked to me for like five minutes, call me
his guardian angel and thanking me and stuff.

First responders say if it were not for Smith's actions,
the girl would not have served.

Is Fox's Gary Bombgard with the report Gotter DeSantis he
signed eight health related bills into law yesterday. They were
coverage for diagnostic and supplemental breast exams. This mandates that
the exams are covered in health insurance offered in our
state insurance over payment claims submitted to psychologists. It mandates

dates that these types of issues are settled by so
you're not just kind of left there hanging forever. Type
one Diabetes Early Detection program that it also is covered
in insurance plans. You have the anphylaxis In public and
charter schools law, this mandates that there is a teaching
of how to handle students that are dealing with issues

with nfylaxis. The refund of overpayments made by patients. If
you've ever been waiting to receive a refund from a
health care facility, this mandates a timeline that it has
to be paid back to you by a building. History
and awareness instruction. This goes along with what people in

schools and healthcare workers have to be taught regarding the
healthcare needs of those with disabilities. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse services.
This one is actually about death certificates and how they
are filed, and then newborn screenings that they also include
muscular dystrophy screening. Those are your new laws, The State

of Florida said. Other tourism record last year at levels
maintained through the first quarter of the year. Visit Florida
announced the best in the nation total of one hundred
and forty three million visitors to the state during the year.
That is a one point seven percent increase over the
prior year, and in the first quarter, a total of
forty one point two million visitors came to the state.
That was in line with last year's record totals. So

we did not see a decline on the way that
had been positioned by many that is seemingly more like
rooting for the state to do worse. You know, get
a lot of folks here that they claimed to be like,
you know, reporting news for you, but actually they rooted
against the state. They failed. We did actually see once

again record tourism. It'll be sunny, hot again today with
a high end the load nineties, warmer than usual for
the state. Similar weather tomorrow, increasing chance for afternoon thunderstorms
probably will get them by Friday. National Hurricane Senter's tropical
out look is clear still for the next seven days.
Gas prices rose eight cents per gallon. Yesterday, average price

for a regular unleaded back up to three poh nine
now in the Palm Beaches three twenty six, Martin still
abought the state average at three fifteen, and similarly in
Indian River Kelliya three twelve per gallon.

South Africa's president today. The President also wants a missile
defense system he calls the Golden Dome up and running
in three years. He outlined his plans for the missile
defense system and an announcement for the Oval Office alongside
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Charles Kushner, the new US ambassador
to France, sent it back to Kushner fifty one to

forty five vote. He's the father of Jared Kushner, who's married,
of course, to Trump's daughter Ivanka. And George Went has died.
He played norm on cheers. The family said he passed
away in a sleep yesterday at the age of seventy six.
