Speaker 1 (00:04):
This is Florida's news that impacts you on the Brian
mudshal Yeah, Brian Mond and Joel Malkin with you, and
I will have to say that in the grand scheme
of some really awful reporting that I've come across locally
in our state, news media nationally, every time this weekend
was way up there on the list of how bad

(00:25):
things can potentially be reported. The point where the whole
Alligator Alcatraz thing you have not only you know, these
absurd democrats again not one of them in their district
with their constituents, but rather trying to do a political
stunt at Alligator Alcatrans. They would come out and call

(00:46):
it an internment camp, a reference to what FDR did
with Japanese people, where if you're Japanese you're rounded up
and kept in internment camps in this country or concentration
camps of course reference to the Holocaust. That these people
could go down that path is unconscionable. Even more remarkable

(01:07):
when news reporters go down that path of saying the
exact same thing. We've had all of it through the weekend.
So this especially about this is what I have for you.
The Department of Homeline Security. Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs
Tricia McLaughlin had this to say about what goes on
at Alligator Alcatraz.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
These are air conditioned facilities. People have three meals a day.
They can better healthcare then they probably have had in
their entire lives. Immediately upon entrance, they get a medical
evaluation and then medical care as those doctors and nurses
see fit.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
And these people are illegal immigrants who don't deserve any
of it. They shouldn't be here in the first place anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
But Brian Debbie said they're thirty two to a cage.
Did you notice the word cage used quite frequently.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
That is all part of the absurdity that played out
over the weekend. Again the grand scheme of some really
awful reporting and people this way up there. New study
by Brainley shows Florida is lagging in the AI race.
According to the study entitled the States Most and a
Least Prepared to Win the AI Race in twenty twenty five,

(02:18):
Florida is sixth for the percentage of businesses using AI
as a regular part of operation. That's at eleven percent. However,
the state rantings thirty fifth overall for EI related studies
and degrees nationally, showing the potential growing disconnects between the
needs of businesses and the skills of those that are
entering the workforce. It'll be mostly cloud a human with

(02:39):
the chance of rain thunderstorms agin throughout the day to day.
How's the mid eighties pretty typical for this date. Similar
weather expected through Wednesday at least say aaron dust plum
is currently moving south of Florida into the Gulf, with
another plume that is currently working across the Central Atlantic. Meanwhile,
the national hurricanes intertracting a disturbance that is currently crossing
our states. What's contributing for a lot of the rain

(03:00):
that we are experiencing and hapen It is moving from
the Atlantic towards the Golf. The system given a thirty
percent chance for development as at tracts westward along the
northern Gulf later this week. Gas prices fell through the weekend,
reaching new lows for the year of the process. The
average price for regular unleaded two ninety three per gallon
this morning, That is fifty eight cents a gallon less

(03:21):
than a year ago. Today Paul Beach County, the average
price three ten martin two ninety four Indian River County
two ninety five per gallon.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
All right, good morning, let's get to look at some
national headlines. Well, borders are Tom Homan thinks a federal
judge overstepped by ordering a hal to illegal immigration raids
in La appearing on CNN's State of the Union home
and said he doesn't think any federal judge can dictate
immigration policy, adding as a matter for Congress and the president.
Homeland Security Secretary Christinome is insisting President Trump does not

(03:51):
want to dismantle FEMA, Rather, we rework it. In an
interview with NBC's Meet the Press, Nome says the president
wants the agency to be better implemented. Trump has been
critical of FEMA in the past. He's been praising the
agency's efforts amid devastating floods in Central Texas. US will
be sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine, President Trump affirming that yesterday,
continuing to speak of his disappointment with Russian President Putin,

(04:14):
saying he has surprised a lot of people by talking
nice and then bombing everybody at night, and the White
House defending President Trump's newly unveiled tariffs on the European
Union in Mexico. Appearing on ABC's This Week, National Acadomic
Council Director Kevin Hassett said the tariffs are putting the
nation's interests. First, Trump unveiled the plan to place thirty
percent blanket tariff rate on each country starting August first,

(04:37):
and weekend posts on truth Social those are your headlines.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
And just a minor adendum. Trump did actually say Poe
was talking nice and then would bomb, And he said beautiful,
so beautiful.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
That's right, got it, We'll tweak it.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Buden would speak, Buden would speak beautiful words by day,
but then by night the bombs
