Speaker 1 (00:05):
From West Palm Beach to Tallahassee. This is Florida's US
that impacts you on the Brian Mud Show. Yeah, sure
enough is Happy Friday, Brian Muddy and Joel Malkin with you,
and so Alligator Alcatraz. You had borders are Tom Homan
that just concluded a tour of it, and he shared
his findings with Sean Hannity last night, had this to say.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I walked through the food preparation area fantastic. I went
through the medical facility top notch. I went through the
detention facility, air condition was fine. I asked about the
reports of clergy not being allowed. They showed me the
books where the clergy has been in there. They showed
me the books have been no trauma cases.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I so often have said it the greatest omission, the
greatest form of bias, news media mission of information. And
here Tom Homan is playing the same game. You know what.
He did not address the ham sandwich we were ham
sandwiches being toasted. Did not address that very pressing concern
(01:11):
he needs to get all he needs to return. Yeah,
I mean, unless they're toasting those sandwiches. I mean, by god,
was this become a detention facility for illegal immigrants US related.
US District Judge Kathleen Williams, an Obama appointee who recently
ruled against Florida's newest immigration law, has issued a two
(01:32):
week hall to the expansion of Alligator Alcatraz. While she
considers the environmental impact of operating the pre existing facility,
the order doesn't impact existing operations at the detention facility.
Big development here yesterday, Florida House Speaker Daniel Perez is
creating a select committee to consider a congressional redistricting plan
(01:53):
for the state. The development comes following Governor DeSantis public
support for pursuing redistricting ahead of next year's midterm elections.
And this is really the key. I mean, at this
point it looks like the process will move forward. And yes,
once it gets going and things happen, you're gonna have
lawsuits all over the place by the left. But the
big question about this getting going was would Speaker Perez,
(02:16):
who has been at odds with Governor de Santis all
throughout the course of this year, would he go along
with what DeSantis was proposing here? And the answer is
obviously yes. Now that doesn't mean they're going to be
on the same page when it comes to a map
when we eventually get there. But it is clear that
Perez and DeSantis both pulling in the same direction regarding
(02:38):
a redistricting plan, and this will be for only congressional maps.
Today day seven of the scheduled eight day closure of
North Lake Boulevard at B Line Highway for CSX railroad
crossing and repairs. So yes, the end is nigh here
for folks that have been suffering this week. With that,
delays of an hour more still possible detours of twenty
(02:58):
one and thirty four miles serving us the only options
for navigating around the closure. Mostly cloudy for much of
the day, increased chances for rain thunderstorms throughout the day.
Highs in the upper eighties typical for the state. A
thin layer of Saharan dust will begin impacting South Florida today,
making its way over the state through the weekend. Another point,
I'm currently tracked across the Central Atlantic keeping things at
(03:20):
Bay related. You have Dexter that's gonezo two systems are
being tracked by the National Hurricane Center. Disturbance moving towards
the mid Atlantic with a still sixty percent chance of development.
Another one off the southeast US coastline, moving away from
the coast, that is down to a twenty percent chance
of development. Neither pose a threat. Gas price is lowered
(03:42):
by three cents per gallon yesterday the average price four
regular unleaded three ten and the Bomb Beach is three
twenty five, Martin three to sixteen, Saint Lucy three twelve.
Indian River right there at that average at three to
ten per gallon,
