Speaker 1 (00:05):
From West Palm Beach to Tallahassee.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
This is Florida's used that impacts you on the Brian Mudshill,
Brian Mudd and Joel Malkin with you and our truck
driving friend, you know, just normal truck driving guys taking
a look at some of the news coverage and just
got the you know, the semi truck driver that was
in that bad accident.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
It's the way it's presented by some So our.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Illegal alien in the courtroom had a really solid performance
by the judge that's presiding over this case.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Here's how things went down. This is Fox's Medicine.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Scarpino, twenty eight year old Hard gender Sing facing three
counts of the higular homicide, three counts of manslaughter, and
he has not yet entered a plea of guilty or
not guilty. The judge acknowledging is an illegal alien. She
said he's a substantial flight risk, saying no conditions of
release would ensure his appearance at trial. So all this

(01:01):
comes after Seeing allegedly killed three people on a Florida
highway earlier this month.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Video shows Seeing making.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
An illegal U turn in an eighteen wheeler while a
minivan crashes in it to the truck.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Those, by the way, those manslaughter charges are new. And
we had Attorney General f Meyer on on Friday, Bryan,
and as you know, he was talking and he said
manslaughter at one point, and I was thinking, isn't it homicide?
So kind of like tipping the hand a little bit there.
The judge the additional charges, giving him those three additional charges.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yes, on Saturday, well, yeah, and then I was asking
about additional charges and he did say probably yes, you're right,
though he did kind of let that go that they
were looking at that and see how well, we'll see
where this goes. But the judge couldn't have handled things
any more appropriately in my view than she did now
on the other side of things about appropriate, and that's

(01:53):
something else I talked with AG F Meyer about Tilray Beach.
The Vice mayor now threatened law enforcement action against the
Florida Department of Transportation should they seek to remove the
unlawful pride display at the intersection of Northeast Second Avenue
Northeast First Street prior to next week's administrative hearing in

(02:15):
New Orlando.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
There are a couple things that are weird about this.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
The first is the state put out the September third deadline,
So I mean, they're not going to do anything before then,
nor have they given any indication that they were going to.
But for some reason, the vice mayor feeling the need
to go public and threaten the state.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yeah, they're saying because of what happened to the Pulse
memorial in the road, you know in Orlando there that they're, oh, oh,
what if they do that here? But that wasn't the
same situation here. They do have an administrative hearing.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
But I mean, I love that you have a vice
mayor of Delray Beach that is threatening law enforcement action
against the state for something they said they were not
going to do. But also when they're in violation of
the law, and that's the whole reason they have a
problem with the state. They are breaking the law and
threatening the state that they are breaking the law against
with law enforcement action. I would love to see that

(03:04):
one go down.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Actually, by the way, for anybody that's not aware, and
I've mentioned this in the stories regarding this situation. Rob
Long is his name, the vice mayor.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, this guy needs to be removed from office.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
He is a Democrat. He is the Democrat candidate for
House District ninety.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Which is probably what this is mostly about, is him
trying to raise his profile. But this person has no
business as a public official. It's outrageous his conduct at
this and going public, trying to threaten the state over it,
and the other thing that's absurd.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Here you have the.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
You've had him now direct additional law enforcement surveillance of
this unlawful mural. So you're going to spend even additional
money an additional police presidence. Not protecting the community, but
protecting something that is unlawful and has to come down
next week. I mean, you want to talk about somebody
who's not acting in the interest of a community.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
By the way, a g Outhmeier did tell me on Friday,
the failure to comply with state law could lead to
the removal of public officials responsible for the decisions.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Could also lead to liability for the city.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Because here's the other thing I'll just fly out, I
tell you, because the point where this guy became that audacious,
the whole thing's absurd. But the point where you begin
threatening the state and everything. This lacks proper traffic markings. Okay,
that's the number one thing here is this is not
street legal what they have done, and so if anybody
has been harmed in an accident there, you don't even

(04:31):
need John Morgan.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
For this one.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
You know, you can call any old attorney and they're
going to be able to this is gross negligence because
the road at the city's direction does not properly serve
those that are on the road, and so they are
set up for gross negligence.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
The City of deil Rate Beach.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
For anybody who's been caused harm that could be attributed to,
you know, to the traffic situation that intersection, So you
know that's the next thing that needs to be evaluated here.
I would encourage anybody that is since this has taken place,
how many years has it been now that thing's been
up there. Twenty one yeah, so I mean years for
twenty one years, but for now it's over four years. Yeah,

(05:09):
I mean you could take a look at you know
what cases could be brought against the city for gross
negligence because there is a case there. The town of
Palm Beach will begin to remove illegal moorings and Lakeworth
the Lake Worth Lagoon this week, and an effort to
support safer navigation combat an increase in wrecked and derelict
fissile vessels and also out of environmental protection. Under state law,

(05:31):
it is illegal to place mooring buoys and steal waters
without a permit from the state. Be sunning much of
the day hunt again highs in the low nineties, slightly
warmer than usual for the state. Then layers the here
and dust passing through the Caribbean, over Cuba and into
the Gulf. Light impacts in South Florida today, with the
thicker plume tracking over Puerto Rico and Espaniola likely impacting

(05:53):
Florida later in the week. Hurricane centers tracking just two
systems this morning. Tropical Storm Ferdinand, spinning towards northern mid
Atlantic doesn't pose a threat to anybody sturbance, and the
Leeward Islands now has only a ten percent chance of development.
Gas prices fell through the weekend are fifteen percent or
fifteen percent fifteen cents lower than a week ago, a

(06:14):
near new lows for the year. The average price for
regular unleaded statewide two ninety two and the Palm Beaches
three oh eight, Martin two ninety seven. Also Indian River
County two ninety seven. It's two ninety six per gallon
in Saint Luci,
