Speaker 1 (00:03):
Just as Florida's news that impacts you on the Brian
Mud Show. Yeah, Brian Muddy and Joel Malklin with you
as we take like a news from around our state
that impacts you. This cut a lot of people by surprise.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yesterday, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Latipoe made the announcement calling
vaccine requirements wrong and immoral.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Every last one of them is wrong and drips with
disdain and slavery.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Florida currently requires students to be vaccinated against diseases like measles, mumps,
and polio before enrolling in public schools. Ladipo, who has
long been critical of vaccines, says the state Health Department
can eliminate its own rules for some vaccine mandates, but
others would require action by the Florida legislature.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah, so about that. A lot of the focus has
immediately turned to childhood vaccinations required by public schools for attendance.
That is not in question at this point. There are
some of those mandates that can be done away with
through executive action, none as it pertains to public schools,
so that is codified under Florida law. So you would

(01:16):
have to have the state legislature that would pass legislation,
ondoing that it's something to watch as we head into
next year state legislative session, but not an immine change
that would be coming related to this. Among the health
announcements yesterday, Governor DeSantis announcing the establishment of a MAHA
or Make America Healthy Again Commission within the state. Commissions

(01:38):
aim will include the promotion of healthy food and formed
consent on medical decisions, and emphasizing printal rights in medical decisions.
You have clouds and rain that'll be in the Mexigan today,
Hines and the mid eighties typical for the state, plumsherned
us in the mid Atlantic, and that is inhibiting it's
heading towards the Leeward Islands. It's inhibiting developments out ahead

(02:00):
of what the National Hurricane Center is tracking right now,
which is that disturbance that is now tracking towards the
southern mid Atlantic Being given and checked the eight o'clock
on this it was an eighty percent chance of development. Yeah,
still an eighty And you take a look at it
on the map, and you might look at it and go, oh,
that doesn't look so hot, and it doesn't just by
kind of like where it is on the map. The

(02:20):
flip side of that is the steering currents still overwhelmingly
are pulling towards the north. So you never say never
when you're you know, weak out from anything. At the
end of that, you know what you see on the map.
But it would have to be a massive change atmospherically
for there to be anything other than northern steering currents

(02:42):
that would take that system whatever it would happen to
be at that point north and maybe even east of Bermuda.
My best gas right now is that things had north
head east of Bermuda, but you know, near there, if
nothing else to the west, gas prices rose another three
cents per gallon. Yes, the average price four regular unleaded
three fourteen and the Palm Beaches three twenty eight, Martin

(03:06):
three nineteen, three seventeen in Saint Luci in the Indian
River County three sixteen for gallant.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
All right, good morning, let's get to a look at
some national headlines. President Trump will welcome more than twenty
high profile tech CEOs to the White House today. Meta
founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft founder Bill Gates,
and Open Ai founder Sam halt Altman. All on the
invite list. President wants a Supreme courte expedite an appeal
on his tariffs after a lower court rule that most

(03:31):
of them are illegal. A federal appeals court rule last week,
Trump had exceeded his authority, imposing steep levies on nearly
every country. According to the filing, Trump's asking the justices
to hear arguments on the case. In early November, a
Chinese president Shi Jinping says the world is facing a
choice between peace or war. He made the remarks during
a large military parade in Beijing's Tieneman Square. Russian President

(03:53):
Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong un we're both
in attendants at the parade, showing off Chinese Millie Terry
Might and you know, Brian Knho. We were talking about
that with Senator Rick Scott, not the specific events, but
anytime you have these three leaders together, is it doesn't
not good?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Good?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Right, not good?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
And so I've been talking about this for many, many years,
and the whole China is China, is Russia, is Iran,
is North Korea, is Ciba, is Venezuela is Nicaragua, and
that you know, a lot of times people are like well, no,
they're not really closely aligning. You've got these natural divides
even Trump has mentioned this time, you got some of
the natural divides between russ and China. Those are gone,

(04:34):
and that's the big problem we've got is these are
the new axis threats and they are more closely aligning.
And there are two things that it means immediately. The
first is no peace in Ukraine unless China wants it
for some reason, but there's no no indication.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
That's the case.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
So the closer that Putin gets to China, the less
likely you're going to see peace anytime soon in Ukraine.
So then you have to figure out what we do
about that's situation. And beyond that, I mean, yeah, it's
not good for anything, you know, long term in terms
of alex about world war. But closer to home, shoot,
I mean, you know, people know their Cuban missile crisis.

(05:13):
You know, we got Cuba right there, Venezuela. It's not
too far from us. We just took out that drug
ship yesterday. So there are so many things that bring
all of those influences pretty close to home. You start
talking about Russia and then also China and what that
might look like you know, south of Florida for example,
So a lot going on there
