Speaker 1 (00:04):
This is Florida's news that impacts you on the brian
mudsho Brianne and Joel Malkin with you. This a situation
that Joel needs to not worry about.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Fifty seven year old Michael Stanek was clong driving one
hundred and seven miles an hour down to Florida Highway.
The body cam revealed an answer that both the Flagler
County Sheriff's deputy and everyone wanted to know, why are
you going so fast?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I have a.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Have an appointment with your barber.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
He never made that appointment, as Stanik was then told
he'd be spending the night in jail for weaving in
and out of traffic and putting other people's lives in danger.
His car was towed in. The sheriff's office says in
a Facebook poast that he ultimately was released on one
hundred and fifty dollars spond. Hopefully in the future he'll
trimmed down the speed.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
A bit, trimmed down. I wonder if that guy was
bald too, That's why he's That's why the cop repeated
it like that.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It's like a barber, sir. I believe, I actually believe
the guy I believe that, because like, if you're going
to have a made up go to to telecop I.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Guess Barbara would not be it. You'd say there was
some emergency you have to get home too.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah. I mean that's not the most convincing lie you're
going to come up with, right, So yeah, he probably
really was late. Oh my, more illegal aliens. As we
take a look at news around the state that impacts you,
more illegal aliens transported into Florida during the Biden administration
than any other state. Based on newly released government data

(01:31):
obtained by the Associated Press, I'm gonna have a lot
more on this tomorrow. Full analysis of it. Florida saw
twelve hundred and seventy one illegal aliens brought into the
state per one hundred thousand population, and for the last
two years of the Biden administration. These are totals higher
than New York in California, which ranked second and third.
I remember how these to say, Hey, you know, we

(01:52):
have these people being brought in. We don't even have
any idea. South Florida, we happen to be the most
impacted region in the country, with the Miami Metro seeing
an increase of twenty one hundred ninety one illegal aliens
brought in per one hundred thousand residents. So, as I
was mentioned in my Techways, Florida is and will remain

(02:13):
the top destination in the world for the ultra wealthy.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
The World Ultra.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Wealth Report for twenty twenty five shows Florida will grow
its ultra wealthy population by an estimated eight point eight
percent annually over the next decade, generating twenty billion dollars
in additional economic impact annually for the state. Showers and
thunderstorms possible throughout the day to day highs low eighties,
touch cooler than usual for the state. I'll hit on

(02:39):
what's going on with our weather here in a minute,
because it's related to the tropics. Then bloom Us air
and dust extends with the Bahamas through the Caribbeancy with
the separate plume and the Central Atlantic acting as a
headwind for tropical development. So about this Hurricane Center is
tracking three systems in the Atlantic this morning, Yeah, Hurricane
and Milda. It's now passed over Bermuda and is tracking
east northeast towards the northern mid Atlantic. A disturbance in

(03:02):
the Southern Atlantic off the coast of Africa being given
to twenty percent chance of developing over the next seven days,
while a disturbance may form off the southeastern Florida coastline
moving over our state this weekend with a ten percent
chance of developing. Basically, this thing that is gaining a
little bit of traction offshore has a ton of rain

(03:25):
attached to it, and there is an awful lot of
heavy rain that is sitting just offshore, and some of
that here and there is just going to kind of
lurch on shore. And then if this thing does push
across the state has anticipated this weekend, it'll end up
being super wet for probably a few days. Gas price
has dropped to pending per gallon yesterday, though we saw

(03:45):
small increases locally. The average price for regular unleaded State
Y three eleven and the Balm Beach is three twenty
nine this morning, Martin and Indian River County three sixteen
per gallon. It's three point fifteen in Saint Lucie, and
by the way, prices should be tomorrow. So just as
an aside, if you don't need gas today, even just
waiting until tomorrow probably be a benefit to you.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
All right, Good morning, National Headlines, Partial government shut down
now and it's second day and likely to last until
at least tomorrow. Senators leaving town and observance of the
Jewish holiday Yom could pour. Top members of the Trump
administration telling officials in Memphis that they're going to help
the most violent crime city in the country have no crime.
Attorney General Pambondi making the statements in Memphis. National Guard

(04:27):
troops expected to patrol the streets of Memphis this week.
A flight attendant being treated for injuries after two Delta
jets collided at New York's LaGuardia Airport. Air Traffic Control
says the regional jets were trying to we're taxing on
the runway last night when the right wing one plane
collided with the nose of the other jet. Those are
some headlines.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
