potential big developments. On development in Lakeworth Beach City Council
voted to move forward with two proposed charter amendments for
the consideration of what's known as the Horizon development Project,

with which, if approved, would bring a high end hotel,
redesigned Jack Nicholas golf course, and relocated community pool to
the city. Commissioners voted to advance a referendum to adjust
the lease terms for properties east of A one A,
allowing for Beach Rey development, and a separate referendum for
lease terms on city owned properties. A third proposal to

increase height limits in the city wasn't approved. Martin County
signed a preservation agreement with the state to protect seventeen
hundred acres of land from development. The land, known as
Barbie Ranch, will maintain as a wildlife corridor through the
Forever Program, which is providing seventeen million dollars for the project.

Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers has now sued the
County Commission following their bitter budget dispute, which resulted in
an increase of six point eight million dollars for the
Sheriff's office, about half of the requested inquiries. The sheriff
alleging violations of these state's budget procedures during the process
by the County Commission. Saint Lucie County awarded five point

one million dollars yesterday for transportation services throughout the county
by the Federal Transit Administration. The grant be used to
enhance public transportation services throughout the county. This week's King
Tight's cycle likely to be the highest of the year
and produce localized flooding and low lying coastal areas yesterday,
including Flagler Drive in West Palm. The current King tide
