covering the situation with the proposed amendment on recreational marijuana.
It stands as the only citizen led amendment that has
a chance, a realistic one at this point of making

the ballot next November mentioned that one of the big
question marks right now signatures. It looks like they are
on pace to just get to the number that would
be needed by the February first deadline to potentially qualify
for the ballot. However, the state of Florida is trying
to throw out about two hundred thousand signatures collected, saying
they were unlawfully obtained. And so you have the lawsuit

that's been brought that is petitioning the Florida Supreme Court

This is the latest escalation in a year's long clois
between progressive organizers seeking to amend the Florida Constitution and
the conservative governor who opposes legalizing adult recreational marijuana. And
a petition filed at the State Supreme Court. The group
Smart and Safe Florida claims state election officials are trying

to improperly block the measure from getting on the ballot
in April twenty twenty six, and is asking the court
to order officials to confirm the campaign has met the
threshold of hundreds of thousands of petitions required to get
on the ballot.

to the Florida Chamber Foundation's latest update, Florida's GDP outseeeds
one point seven trillion dollars annually, surpassing Spain, ranking just

Christmas shopping typically rams up. Starting this week, the FRF
has launched find It in Florida campaign with a website
