Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers proposing unused funds from
county agencies from the prior fiscal year be allocated to
his department, the mendonn on going budget dispute. This resulted
in legal action, the funds totaling five point two million,
close to equaling his requested budget from the County Commission.

The proposal was presented in a letter to the County
Commission yesterday. Lake Worth Beach has approved Park Ranger program,
creating a new division of park rangers to patrol the
city's parks and public spaces. The five hundred thousand dollars
plan will result in twenty four to seven oversight of
the city's thirty two open green spaces, with a primary
focus on the beachfront, Bryan Park, Sunset Ridge and Howard
