When you hear all of the above what comes to mind? Energy policy? It reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld saying “more everything” to the stewardess in first class when asked if he wanted anything else while Elaine was having a miserable coach experience. But the reason that’s my top takeaway today is because that’s what Jeffrey Epstein’s victims called for in a news conference yesterday in their push for what’s known as a discharge petition that could force a House vote on legislation, that if passed, would compel the Justice Department to provide full disclosure of the Epstein files.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the Brian Munt Show, and thank you for listening.
It's time for today's top three takeaways. Helpful, useful, repeatable.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Full court pressure on Epstein, disclosure, and do you want
more crime or less?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
More or less crime?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
I say you, this is an interesting kind of dichotomy
we saw play out yesterday. We talked about the Epstein
situation and also crime for that matter. My top takeaway
for you is all of the above. All of the above.
I'll explain that here momentarily, President.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Trump, you have so much influence and power in this situation.
Please use that influence and power to help us because
we need it now and this country needs it now.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So you had a really powerful message being delivered. Theory
had a lot of powerful message that were delivered, messages
delivered at the Capitol yesterday, in a press conference with
Epstein victims, with their attorneys, with members of Congress. So

(01:17):
when you hear of all of the above, what is
it that comes to mind? You think of things like
energy policy. One of the things came to mind me
reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld saying more everything to the
stewardess in first class when asked if he wanted anything
else while Elaine was having a miserable coach experience. The
reason I made it my top takeaway today is because

(01:39):
of what Jeffrey Epstein's victims called for in a news
conference yesterday and their push for what's known as a
discharge petition that could force a House vote on legislation
that have passed would compel the Justice Department to provide
full disclosure of the Epstein files. Now, President Trump is
long operated under the premise of promt has made promises,

(02:01):
kept that he delivered on his promises to the extent
that he could in his first term. He's delivered on
his promises with remarkable speed early in the second term,
with one exception. The promised disclosure of the Epstein files
has not come, and what has been released by the
Justice Department has been botched, and it's delivery to say

(02:23):
the least. You know. First, he had Tourney General Pambondi,
who told boxes John Roberts back in February to a question,
and the question was specifically about the rumored Epstein client list,
not even Epstein files, but the client list, and quoting Bondie,
she said, it's sitting on my desk right now to review,

(02:44):
and that of course set expectations that she has since
walked back.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Well, there's not a client list.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Then there was the video disclosure snafu, which, by the way,
we've finally been able to get to the bottom of
this week. In the latest data done from the House
over psych many these so called missing minute, a video
from outside of Epstein's jail sale the night that he died, emerged.
In the end, there's nothing conspiratorial to it. But ag
Bondi was shown to have misspoken when she said the

(03:13):
final minute of video is deleted each night.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It is not.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's not deleted, it just resets. And so when they
released the video that just patched it together. They had
edited it together, which it would be very easy to think,
well you edited out that minute. That wasn't what happened.
But rather than being super transparent and really having commanded
the situation when that was released, instead she was incorrected

(03:41):
when she said, and that only breeds additional conspiratorial thoughts
and what already is a major conspiracy. Right, So my
second takeaway for you today, well, that doesn't exactly aid
her credibility in handling the sensitive manner, but about this
matter her president.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
From what I understand, I could check, but from what
I understand, thousands of pages of documents.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Have been given.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
But it's really a Democrat hoax because they're trying to
get people to talk about something that's totally irrelevant to
the success that we've had as a nation since I've
been president.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Man.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
And I'll tell you what if you if you watch
the press conference yesterday and then you go to that
comment by Trump.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Which we did, is those comments were right after the
press write yep.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
He was asked in the Oval office as he meeting
with the.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Polish And the first thing is it's a Democrat hoax.
It never ends. And it's like, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I know. I mean, look, there are a lot of
things about it that don't sit right. And the piece
that obviously it is not the Epstein conspiracy, these victims,
that's not a Democrat oaks, right, I mean, that's as
real as it gets. And so but what he's talking about,
it's the context with what she's delivering it, which, by

(05:10):
the way, I still think is tone deaf, but I
understand what he's saying. He's saying, Look, this is being
used to distract from all my accomplishments. I want you
to be focused on everything that I have done for
this country, that I'm doing for this country, and this
is being used to make me look bad, my administration
look bad. That's what he's saying. Now, Look, that might

(05:33):
be the case with certain media outlets that have that
kind of agenda. I don't doubt that it isn't happening,
But the situation itself is so real, the victims are
so real. There never has been anything close to justice
for the majority of the perpetrators associated with this thing,

(05:55):
that it really doesn't sit well.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I don't think.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
So. There's been the recent development of Epstein conspirator Glene
Maxwell interviewing with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and the
subsequent two hundred and sixty three page transcript of.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
That interview which was released.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
There weren't any bombshells, not that many would have been
likely to have been leaved anyway. Perhaps most notably, President
Trump has become dismissive of the topic altogether, most recently,
and this has led to many speculating that it's because
he's on the non existent list. But as I've spoken
to multiple times, for no other reason, and there are more.

(06:37):
I could get into it at at varying points I have,
but given everything President Trump's political opponents did to take
try to take him out, in some cases literally, I mean,
if there were absolutely any link to Trump and Epstein's conspiracy,
the Biden administration, without a doubt would have linked it.
They had these same files for that matter. Obama I

(06:58):
was mentioning this to Joel yesterday and to one of
our friends, Jodie Stewart, and it's like, how hard was
an elaborate was the Trump Rushia collusion hoax?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Wouldn't have been a heck of a.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Lot easier just to go, here's here's Trump on the
Epstein list right.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
That saved him a lot of trouble. So it does
not exist.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
It is the most nonsensical, absurd thing running.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
But yeah, but they were friends away, they were at
one point, and Trump dumb Tim. So the most likely
reason we don't know more than we do right now
is because of what real disclosure means. This is what
everybody wants to walk past, but it's so incredibly important.

(07:45):
What it would mean is that there must be immediate
prosecutions pursued for a who's who, a business leaders and
political leaders from around the world, and you're going, of
course that's what we need. Yeah, you're right, you know,
that is how justice should be pursued. It's just not
that easy. See think about how complicated it may be.
For example, when say political leaders of other countries are involved.

(08:08):
Could for example, disclosure jeopardize alliances? Could it jeopardize national security?
Could it create a war? Can we get into World
War three? Because Epstein disclosure sounds crazy, but think about
the implications here. The idea of disclosure is a lot
easier said than done. If names are credibly named from

(08:31):
people around the world, what's going to be the next
media thing? Are you not going to have a majority
of people that are going to go I want their head,
all of them?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Right?

Speaker 2 (08:42):
So what does that mean? It would mean that the
moment that disclosure comes, the Department of Justice had better
be ready to prosecute every single one of those cases credibly.
Right now, think what it would take. I mean, we
don't even know the extent of the names out there,
how many people are involved when it could be talking hundreds.
We know that there are hundreds of girls are victimized.

(09:03):
But I mean, even if it's dozens of high profile people.
What do you need at the DOJ to have to
prosecute all those cases credibly? I mean, it's an overwhelming
kind of thought, let alone to actually make it happen.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
It's a massive undertaking.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
And that is the most likely consideration as to why
we still don't know more. And it's also, by the way,
a likely reason as to why the Obama and Biden
administrations didn't do absolutely anything on disclosure. One thing that
is important to remember, as you know, people are frustrated
with the level of disclosures happened under Trump administration and

(09:38):
maybe his commentary like you know, saying Democrat hoax. Now,
I mean, Obama and Biden didn't do anything on this,
but you do have the push now in Congress for
the all of the above approach, the DOJ's investigation and
promise disclosures, Congress's ongoing investigation and promises, so now enact

(10:01):
that seeks to force full disclosure. And like many in
this community, I've covered the story since it broke. I
mean we're we're talking about basically twenty years now, so
imagine being the victims who've waited that long for disclosure.
Hence yesterday's compelling full court press conference to place the
pressure on Congress and the President to follow through on
what everyone has promised to do but no one has

(10:23):
yet done. And the words of one of the Epstein
victims yesterday's presser to be clear, the only motive for
opposing this bill would be the concealed wrongdoing. It's a
powerful message, and it's an awfully powerful message. Twitching gears
to crime for my third takeaway today?

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Do you want more or less of it? What do
you say, Joe? You want more or less crime?

Speaker 5 (10:48):
I'll let you know later.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Okay, not really decisive about this one. Huh right, Well,
you know, I might have some business to wrap up
before I answer this.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Here's the president on this one yesterday.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
I want to go into Chicago, and I have this
incompetent governor that doesn't want us. Do you know that
this weekend seventy two people were shot in Chicago?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yeah, it's Labor Day weekend. That's why.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I mean, ordinarily it's like fifty, but you did add
the extra day, so naturally you get over seventy.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Just scand numbers game.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
What I thought the number I had been hearing was
fifty eight. Was that with Monday? Maybe that was with
Monday and Monday? Oh yeah, gotcha?

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Okay, so yeah, the dumbest question you'll be asked today
is if you want more or less crime. It's about
the ubest question you'd be anced in any given day,
and it's likely safe to say that, unless you're a criminal,
you're in favor of less crime, not more. Right, And
come to think of it, you know, if you would
rather quickly like to identify who the criminals among us are,

(11:47):
posing this question probably a pretty good way to find out, right,
I mean, maybe that's why, For example, Illinois Governor J. B.
Pritzker in Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson are opposed to President
Trump's announced federal assistance to clean up the crime real
old city, right man might put a crippence of things.
So anyway, On the same day that Johnson and Pritzker
were busy denouncing the President's promise and potentially imminent federal

(12:09):
intervention into Chicago's prolific crime problems, a previously skeptical Democrat
official in DC busy doing exactly the opposite thing.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Washington, d C.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Mayor Muriel Bowser quick admit that the skepticism about Presidents
Trump's plan to federalize the DC police and the clean
up the city was unwarranted, so much so that this
week she's done a complete one eight. Bowsers issued in
executive order calling for local law enforcement to permanently cooperate
with federal resources provided to the city to quote the

(12:42):
maximum extent allowable by law within the district. She said
her order is designed to provide a pathway forward beyond
the digital emergency Declaration. In other words, if at any
point a president removes the emergency order, DC law enforcement
is to continue to do exactly what they've been doing
to retain the gains that they've made in combating crime.

(13:04):
That's because the success has been huge, and only three weeks,
property crime in Washington DC is eleven percent lower. Violent
crime has dropped by nearly fifty percent. The murder rate
is eighty four percent lower, carjackings down by eighty seven percent.
President trup Is praised Bowser's recent embrace of what's in
the best interests of her community. She'll likely become a

(13:26):
rising star within her party because of her pragmatism to
do the right thing by her constituents. Here as opposed
to those who are on like I don't know a
tds Field quest, but Chicago not. They're apparently cool with
over fifty percent more crime, over eighty four percent more homicides.
So yeah, we continue to see Democrats from California to
Chicago fighting for the facilitation of more crime in the

(13:49):
communities that they're supposed to be serving by virtue of
fighting the federal assistants from the Trump administration that would
clean up their streets. And that's a pretty remarkable thing
to Bowser and d C. And most importantly, congratulations to
the residents of that city who now get to live
in a vastly safer place than it was just a
month ago, which again shows how quickly this can actually

(14:10):
be done if you actually try to do it.
