Speaker 1 (00:04):
Faith Freedom Florida. This is the Brian mud show. Ye
as we're protecting the Palm Beach. Is a tribute to
those who serve and sacrifice. Brought to you by a
Good Greeks Bureau and Good Greek Moving and Storage. This
is the weekly tribute dedicated to those who have literally
laid down their lives in service, but also to serve

(00:25):
as a reminder to the rest of us about what
is put on the line every day. Potentially when you
have somebody leaves their family, they go to work, they
put into badge, never knowing what the heck might happen next,
and far too often it's been something that good. Last year,
there was a huge increase in lds. There are three
hundred and forty two officers that were shot in the
line of duty. All told, we lost one hundred and

(00:46):
sixty seven in the line of duty, eight in Florida. Now,
the improved news is the rate of LEDs has been
much lower so far this year.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
These still unfortunate news.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
We have lost sixty law enforcement professionals in the line
of duty, including two in Florida this year. And this
is an incident that happened just yesterday in Boone County,
Kentucky Sheriff's Office Major Philip Rigel, who was talking about
an ambush situation that two of his officers walked into.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
They were getting ready to serve an arrest warrant on
a subject at one three one sixty seven Service Road.
When they entered the home, they took fire.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, it happens regularly. Now they are expected to recover thankfully. However,
over the past week, we did lose Officer Hunter Simonic
in Kansas. He was murdered when he was targeted by
the driver of a truck police were in pursuit of
following reports of gunfire in the area. Hunter was deploying

(01:48):
stop sticks in the road when he was deliberately truck
and killed by the driver. The suspect crashed his truck
while doing so was detained by responding officers. Has been
charged with first degree murder. And as we remember those
that have fallen in the line of duty, important that
we are mindful of their families as well. The average

(02:10):
age of a fallen officer forty one years old, twelve
years of service. There are thirty nine widows and ninety
eight children who've lost a parent this year, so their
sacrifice profound. And this is your weekly reminder to back
the badge and spread the word because Laura knows that
we need them every bit as much as they need us.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
All Right, let's go to look at some Florida headlines.

Speaker 3 (02:32):

most of them are still tax free, and that is
