Speaker 1 (00:02):
Faith Freedom, Florida. This is the Brian Mud Show. So
we are protected to Palm Beaches. Tribute to those who
serve and sacrifice, brought to you by Good Greek Moving
and Storage. And as we take a look at this
week's protecting the Palm Beaches message from US Customs and
Border Protection Senior Advisor Ronvitello.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
They used to say they wanted to abolish ICE back
in twenty eighteen. They talked about defunding the police in
twenty twenty, and now they want the rest of America
to believe that arresting illegal aliens inside of the United
States is somehow gestapo tactics.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Right, and so we have, you know, like open season
by the left on ICE. You know, the efforts by
congressional Democrats to try to dox them. It is an
outrageous situation that's going on right now. And this all
after an ambush attack by eleven suspects using military style
tactics on the fourth of July two hunt ice officers
(01:01):
in Texas. I mean, just it reinforces the point about
why we do this and why it is so important
not to take it for granted, because if not for
law enforcement doing what they do every day, what does
our society look like? Right? So this is why you know,
we pay tribute to those who have literally laid down
their lives in service to the communities. But also just
(01:23):
for this to serve as a reminder for all in
law enforcement how important it is that we are there
for them and their families day in and day out,
because you imagine, you know, what it's like to be
these people in these families at this point is just horrible.
And so as we take a look at where we stand,
you know, last year, we saw a significant increase in
(01:44):
officers shot in the line of duty, significant increase in
line of duty debts. In total, one hundred and sixty
five heroes lost their lives last year, including eight in Florida.
As of now, we have lost forty two law enforcement
professionals in the line of duty, one Inlace and we
have lost these heroes since the previous update. In Kansas,
(02:06):
under Sheriff Brandon Gade was murdered while conducting an arrest
of a suspect with illegal explosives. During the arrest, these
suspects pulled a concealed gun and fired five rounds. The
suspect killed with return fire. Brandon survived by his wife
and three children. In Wisconsin, Officer Kendall Quarter was murdered
during an ambush while responding to a domestic disturbance call.
(02:29):
Upon arriving on the scene, as suspect fired sixteen rounds
at Kendall and his partner and then fled the scene.
Suspect was arrested the next day. Has been charged with murder.
In North Carolina, officer of Francisco Flactus was murdered by
an inmate while transporting the prisoner for a medical appointment.
Prisoner accessed Francisco's service weapon, firing on him, carjacking a vehicle,
(02:52):
and fleeing the scene. Suspect was quickly detained by responding officers.
Has been charged with murder. Francisco is survived his wife,
who also serves in law enforcement. In South Carolina, Deputy
Devin Mason murdered while responding to an emergency call. Upon
arriving on the scene, the suspect fired on deputies. Suspects
killed with return fire. In California, officer Miguel Canea died
(03:19):
following the arrest of a suspect in possession of illegal
drugs and weapons while transporting the suspect for booking. He
fell ill lost consciousness, leading to a crash. Miguel is
survived by his wife. In New Mexico, Deputy Antonio Allman
was killed in the crash involving attractive trailer while on patrol.
(03:41):
He survived by his wife and two children. And as
we honor those we've lost, need to remember the families
of the fallen as well. The average age forty one
with ten years of service, there are twenty two widows
and fifty one children they've lost to parent. So it's
your weekly remindered back to bad and spread the word
because Lord knows they need us every bit as much
(04:03):
as we need them.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Let's get a look at some Florida headlines with some
state and congressional lawmakers will get a tour of Alligator
Alcatraz tomorrow. The invitation came from the Florida Division of
Emergency Management, about a week after some Democrat state legislators
were denied access to the illegal immigrant detention center in
the Everglades when they showed up unannounced. Those lawmakers now
suing the state Democrat congress froman Lewis Frankel was asked
(04:25):
about tomorrow's tour. During a press conference yesterday, she voiced
concerns that officials at the facility may, in her words,
freshen it up, and it may not be a real
representation of what goes on there. Frankel referring to Alligator
Alcatraz as a quote unquote political gimmick.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yes, and she'll have spent more time with criminal illegal
immigrants outside of her district than she's spent in my
neighborhood for as long as she's representing me.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Also, the twenty twenty five Florida Python challenges underway in
the Everglades, Brian's heading out after the show, just kidding,
and in Florida Bay's public supermarkets. This is cool. Donating
three hundred thousand dollars to help with flood relief in Texas,
that's public charities doing that. Of course, a foundation created
back in nineteen sixty six, right,
