Speaker 1 (00:02):
Two sides to the story. There's only one side to
the facts.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Welcome to the Brian Mud Show and thank you for listening.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Yeah, sure enough, Hello.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Can stocks and cryptocurrencies go? My first role money.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Is never let your money and emotions cross paths or well,
not good stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
You lose money often. Yeah, not good stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
You're not guarantee you're gonna lose money, but your con
certainly go up team like, yeah, if nothing else, you'll
perform worse than you probably would have. That happens over
ninety percent of the time, over ninety percent of the
time that people jump in and ount they try to
time markets investments, when have you, they do worse than
if they just left their money where they put it
in the first place. So it gives you an idea,
and how often we get in our own way. I

(00:46):
don't want it to be that way for you. I
want you to be able to take advantage of the
greatest wealth creation machine and the history of the world,
which is your United States stock market. And on that note,
here is where we ended last week's abbreviated trading week.
Stops ending higher following a strong June jobs report, with
both the Nasdaq and S and P five hundred hitting
all time record closes. Yes, Fox is Hillary Barski record

(01:09):
closes yet again last Thursday. And actually, you know, the
market closed before the passage of the BBB, you still
had King Jefferies doing the h you.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Know, I was thinking about that.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
He went on and on what eight and half over
eight and a half hours, close to nine, and it
was a it was.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
A shortened day.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I think the stutt what had closed the talk and yeah,
he knew that obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yes, the market he want to go before the vote?
Did he want to go?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
You think part of that is he wanted to go
beyond the market close.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
No, I don't think it really was that as much
as it was where he wanted to break McCarthy's record
for the use of a magic minute, which, by the way,
I mean if you want to know about all that,
if you go back and listen to Claim Bug podcast.
I was in for Klaiyan Buck on Thursday and actually
got to you know, announce the breaking news.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Of the passage of the BBB.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
But yeah, if you go to the Clay and podcasts
from Thursday, I explained the whole magic minute thing and
King Jefferson what he's trying to do. We have amazing
commentary from Florida congressman or former CFO Jimmy Patrons.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
He joined me at the top of the second hour and.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
He explains it well and colorfully. So anyway, there's that.
But back to stocks here. So coming into this week,
we have gains of anywhere from two to three percent
last week in the stock market to now the S
and P five hundred Nazak remarkably now gains of six
to seven percent from the year. And I say remarkably

(02:36):
because remember one point in early April we had losses
of over twenty percent for the Naszaq and SMP five
five hundred. Here we are incredible gains, I mean, above
average gains at this stage in the year. So anyway, yeah,
you put all that together, you take a look. There's
so much optimism last week, and not just about the

(02:57):
likelihood that the BBB was going to be was going
to pass, but also that peace was holding in Iran,
in Israel, the much stronger jobs report that came in
on Thursday as well, just so many different things, and
so one of the questions as we enter this week,
will this be it for now? You know, sometimes when
we have so much good news that hits in a

(03:18):
little window that can become a sell the news event.
So like the final one, the signing of the BBB,
will that be a sell the news event for some investors.
I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see a little
profit taking for now, given the huge rally coming back. Anyway,
speaking of Thursday's jobs report, not only came in with
over thirty thousand additional jobs and anticipated unemployment rate fell

(03:40):
from four point three to four point one percent.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That's the lowest since January.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
On back of all this, attention is now going to
turn towards the Fed again in interest rates. Currently, investors
are pricing in a ninety five percent chance that the
Fed will leave interest rates unchanged yet again in July,
which means one hundred percent chance that Trump will be
unhappy with tron Pal if go down. As we take
a look towards cryptos, you have kind of a mix

(04:06):
to higher market. Last week Bitcoin was flat, but get
gains of two to five percent with the other tokens.
Bitcoin remains the leader far and away this year of
fifteen percent of the year. Ether, your number two player,
is twenty five percent lower. Still on the year. The
bit yse ETF that represents the top ten cryptos of
eight percent of the year can't provide any value analysis

(04:27):
for cryptos because they have no inherent value. Can for
socks because they do using the S and P five
hundred as the benchmark. If only fundamentals and nothing else mattered,
your maximum downside risk from where we sit right now
is forty six percent. It's a little bit more than
last week because stock prices rose faster than fundamentals. Again,
the market is still two percent less expensive than it
was at the absolute peak of this cycle. Now, if

(04:49):
we got selling to I think we're gonna get forty
six percent the downside. No, absolutely not. Is it possible
in theory. So let's just say it happened. If it
wouldn't negatively impact your daily life, great, You're probably in
good shape the wood. You need a new plan and
if necessary, a pro to help you with it.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
All right From Florida headlines, So Florida sending help to
Texas as it deals with catastrophic flooding. Over eighty dead
right now. Governor de Santas announcing yesterday he's directed the
Florida Division of Emergency Management to deploy resources three Swift
Swift water rescue teams and Palm Beach County Commissioners Tomorrow
will be voting on changing the name of Southern Boulevard
near mar Alago to President Donald D. J. Trump Boulevard,

(05:25):
stemming from a bill signed into law last month by
the governor, and designate the eighteen thousand block of Southern
Boulevard PbSO Motorman Highway in honor of three Sheriff's deputies
killed in the line of duty there last year.
