Speaker 1 (00:02):
Facts, integrity and trust. This is the Brian Mud Show. Yeah,
sure enough is. As we take a look at my
weekly edition of Hello can stocks and Cryptocurrencies go? My
first role money is.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Never let your money in emotions cross.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Paths, because I want you to be able to take
advantage of the greatest wealth creation machine in the history
of the world, which is your United States stock market.
The bottom line is your land money get in the
in emotions cross paths, you're going to end up with
likely less of it than you would otherwise. Over ninety
percent of the time that people jump in and now
if they try to time investments markets, they do worse

(00:41):
than if they just had done nothing once they invested
in the first place. Gives you an idea of how
often we get in our own way. And so as
we get started this week taking a look at what's
going on, we see that the now was off one
percent last week, s and P five hundred naseek flat
to hire on the year, yere today doll of five percent,

(01:03):
SMP five hundred nazek up seven percent, still solid returns.
And just to give you an idea of where we
left off last week, here's where markets closed on Friday,
Fox is Hillary Varski stocks.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Closing out the week in the red on escalating tariff tensions.
After President Trump said that he would raise levies on
many imported goods from Canada to thirty five percent, which
is ten percent higher than what he first imposed months ago.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that he will keep
working toward a new trade framework with the US.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, so investors took a breather with the SP five
hundred NASEAC touching record heights during the week once again,
but effectively ending flat while you had this self on Friday.
The three big storylines are going to impact socks this week.
One the start of the corporate earning season that it
starts tomorrow when major banks kick off the second quarter reporting.

(01:55):
The second we had another big number tomorrow, Tuesday's Consumers
Index report reflecting the consumer inflation rate for June. And
Three yes, trade in tariff developments. All three are going
to be critical as to what the direction the market
will be from here. Earnings need to show follow through
to help justify stock prices at record levels and lofty evaluations. Also,

(02:18):
guidance for the second a half the year will be
paramount as well. Now the CPI, the Consumer Price Index
Report consumer inflation for June expected to show the full
effects of April's tariff announcements, so this would be it
always is an important monthly number anyway, the most important
as it pertains to interest rate policy in the Federal Reserve,

(02:40):
so that will very much be in focus with the
FAD that is set to meet later this month. And
then yes, you have the tariff two point zero material now.
Following an absence of meaningful progress and trade deals at
least the President Trump's satisfaction aside from China, the UK,
and Vietnam, Trump has effectively turned August first into like
Liberation Day two point zero that has become the deadline

(03:02):
date for process or progress or or significant increase in
tariffs that will end up coming down the bypeer from
the ten percent level that is currently in place across
the board. As for cryptos, huge week there biggest storyline
there for the past week. A Bitcoin ended last week

(03:23):
around one hundred and eighteen thousand real time. It's north
of one hundred and twenty all time highs for bitcoin.
Bitcoin up over ten percent in the past week twenty
five percent year to date. Either had a great week,
up thirteen percent. It is still lower on the year
by twelve percent. Bill YZTF represents the top ten cryptos
had a nice week and is of fifteen percent on

(03:43):
the year. Can't provide any value analysis for cryptos because
they have no inherent value. A canav stocks because they do.
Using the S and P five hundred as the benchmarket
for only fundamentals and absolutely nothing else mattered. Your maximum
downside risk this week is forty six percent, pretty much
where we were last week. Stock prices and fundamentals pretty
much unchanged. The market still somewhat historically expensive, although we

(04:07):
have seen a two percent improvement in the fundamental value
of the market from the peak levels earlier this year. Now,
even if we had a correction, do I think we're
going to get a forty six percent sell off? No?
Is it possible in theory. So let's just say it happened.
If it wouldn't negatively impact your daily life, great, You're
probably in good shape. If it would, time for a
new plan, if necessary, a pro to help you with

(04:28):
that plan.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
All right, let's get to look at some Florida headlines.
Several Democrat Members of Congress from Florida toward Alligator Alcatraz Saturday. Afterward,
they told stories about a large number of illegal immigrants
in quote unquote cages. A Department of Homeland Security officials
says the detainees have ac and likely better medical care
than they've ever had. Frustrations expected to pile up on

(04:50):
a busy intersection in western Palm Beach Counties closed for
eight days. That's August first for North Lake and the
B Line Cruise will be doing a re redoing the
CSX railroad tracks here. County leaders urging employers to allow
their workers to work from home or just their hours
so detour routes are not overwhelmed for folks who may
be able to do so. Interim County Administrator Todd bon

(05:10):
Larin also suggest taking a staycasion at one of about
fifty hotels and resorts offering specials for residents. Link up
at Florida News, WJ and dot com. Four people hurt
after a plane crash in Broward County. The NTSB says
a plane was approaching North Perry Airport from the Turks
and Caicos last night when it went down about a
mile short of the runway, hit a tree. Two of

(05:32):
the passengers routines aged thirteen and sixteen, and the Best
Looking Cruiser award goes to Florida Highway Patrol again, the
agency the first to have won three times in a row.
By the twenty twenty five America's Best Looking Cruiser contest,
it's a Corvette seized in a drug trafficking case. Brian
