Speaker 1 (00:03):
Your new day starts with the Brian Mud Show, the
news you need to start your morning in the Palm
Beaches and the Treasure Coast. Yeah, hello, and stocks and
cryptocurrencies goes. We have a very big week economically on
our hands this week. And uh, well, my first role
of money, it's unchanging.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
What is it? Never let your money in emotions, cross paths.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
That's right, because the other thing that's not change is
that if you do, you're you're almost always going to
end up worse off. And that is not what I
want to happen here. Over ninety percent of the time
investors jump in, they try to time markets, they jump out,
they do worse and if they just let their money alone.
So don't be your own worst enemy. Don't don't do

(00:49):
like a blink one eighty two kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Run here. You know that was lit. It lit.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
As soon as I said that, I'm like, look lit, Yeah,
you're right either one. Just avoid, and in so doing
you will hopefully be able to take advantage of the
greatest wealth creation machine in the history of the world,
which is your United States stock market. And before we

(01:13):
dive into that, here is a little bit of a
preview of what we got going on economically.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
This week, the International Monetary Fund will release its World
Economic Outlook updates. Then on Wednesday, the Federal Reserve is
set to end its fifth interest rate meeting since President
Trump came back to office. Policymakers are expected to hold
rates steady. The decision is expected to draw criticism from
President Trump, who has slammed Fedhair's Room pal over the

(01:39):
Fed's refusal to cut rates. And then Friday is the
deadline for dozens of countries to strike trade deals with US.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Sure enough, there's even one more that she didn't include there,
and that is also on Wednesday, the second quarter GDP report.
So I mean, very very big stuff happening all at
once this week. So you take a look across the
stock market big three indexes, and we saw another good
week last week, one percent gains pretty much across the board.

(02:07):
Year to date gains of anywhere from six to nine
percent based upon your index of choice stocks hire as
we continue to see a record after record being put
in for the S and P five hundred five consecutive days,
SMP five hundreds close at a new high. And this
leg at the rally has been fueled by better than
expected earnings, but then also increase optimism on trade, which

(02:29):
you know we saw last week with the Japanese deal
coming together, Indonesia coming together, and now we have you know,
obviously the EU deal coming out of the weekend. It'll
be interesting to see what there is in terms of
follow through futures are hired, by the way, but a
lot of this good news being priced in here in
addition to the earnings piece that I mentioned, So let's

(02:51):
take a look at earnings as we are into.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
The thick of it.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
You know, thirty four percent of companies that have reported
through Friday, earnings growth is a six point four percent.
That is a lot better than expected. It's close to
two points better than what have been anticipated. Earnings obviously
will still be very important along with the economic data
this week. But as we take a look at the event,
So the Federal Reserve, which President Trump non so coincidentally

(03:15):
visited last Thursday, does meet to decide interest rates on
Wednesday after the GDP report. In the market, despite Trump's
not so subtle overtures to the Federal ower rates has
priced in a ninety six percent profitability that rates will
remain unchanged this week and Friday, you could call like

(03:36):
liberation Day two point zero, because yeah, you do have
significantly higher tiers kicking in for all countries as of
now not named China, Japan, England, the EU, all the
EU countries, Indonesia, and Vietnam. And so there's generally optimism
around a lot of this stuff. But again the number

(03:57):
I have is forty three percent of our trade part
have deals that are worked out at this point. So
there's still a lot on the line. And as we
take a look at crypto's digital currencies, mostly flat last week,
they've continued to hang on to some of the recent gains.
Bitcoin was off just a little bit, still up twenty
five percent of the year, hanging above one hundred and
eighteen thousand. Ether continued its rally last week, up two

(04:20):
percent fourteen percent now in the year bill yztf to
or represents the top ten cryptos. It was off a
little last week, still up eighteen percent on the year.
Can't provide value analysis for cryptos because they have no
inherent value. I can for stocks because they do, using
the S and P five hundred as the benchmark. If
only fundamentals had nothing else mattered, their maximum downside risk
from where we sit right now, forty seven percent. It's

(04:42):
a little bit more than last week because stock prices
rose faster than fundamentals. It's a little bit less than
the absolute peak of this cycle. Do I think we're
going to get a forty seven percent sell off?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
No?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Is it possible in theory if everything hit the fan.
So let's just say it did. If it would it
negatively impact your daily life, great, You're probably in good shape.
If the would, you need a new plan and if necessary,
a pro to help you with that plan.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
All right. Florida Headliner two road closure to be aware
of in Palm Beach, the town North Lake Way will
be closed country Club Road to Bahama Lane. This is
today through Friday. They're doing milling and road resurfacing. Check
for the signs in the area on the detours and
the Fort Pierce City Commission later on will be holding
a meeting following the rest last week of Commissioner James Taylor,

(05:27):
too was a sending sexual messages and nude photos to
a twelve year old girl in another state. City's charter
does not give commissioners the authority to remove Taylor from
his seat, so local leaders calling for his resignation, Brian
