Speaker 2 (00:13):
Your new day starts with the Brian Mudshow the news
you need to start your morning in the Palm Beaches
and the Treasure Coast as we take a look at
how much Dog has saved you. And I want to
start by tying this into the One Big Beautiful Bill
Act that has passed the United States House of Representatives
because there's a really important dynamic in play, not just
(00:36):
changes that ended up bringing more cost savings into the
fold by the time the final version was passed on
the House floor, but also this dynamic in cost savings
from here that was being discussed yesterday by National Economic
Council Director Kevin Hassett.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
He was on with Laura Ingram and Fox last night,
had this to say. There are way.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
More spending cuts to come this year because of all
the savings that were fined both with the OMB and
with DOGE.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
So this is important.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
DOZE is going to remain in force and at least
through the fourth of July next year. July fourth twenty
twenty six, and so as DOGE continues to save money,
that'll continue to be realized. Mention that the President could
use executive orders to make it happen right away, but
Congress can also come back and pass additional legislation to
(01:24):
make things permanent with additional DOGE savings. There's nothing that
says they can do that right so there will be
continued savings that way. Additionally, has it said, Look, you've
also got a lot of these agency heads that have
already been tasked by President Trump to save money in
their agencies. Not all agencies even have new Trump administration
heads yet, others are still trying to get their heads
around their departments and figure out how best to right
(01:47):
size them and realize more savings, so that will also continue.
So in other words, what you hear about the OMBB
is actually the worst case right now from a Calls standpoint,
and that will come down progressively with additional savings from here.
So I've found that to be especially encouraging. So as
(02:08):
we take a look at what DOGE has saved to date,
we're up to one hundred and seventy billion dollars in
dough savings across twenty two impacted federal government agencies, twenty
three thousand and sixty seven eliminated initiatives, and the savings
per federal taxpayer up to one thousand and fifty five
dollars in ninety cents.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
All right, let's get a look at some Florida headlines.
For the first time in a decade, Floridians could be
able to hunt black bears in Florida. The FWC yesterday
gave initial approval to endorse the hunt. It would take
place in December. Up to one hundred and eighty seven
bears can be killed. Final vote in August would be
needed to make it official.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
A couple things about this, just real quick, because I
am not on board with it. The last time we
had one of these inside of two days, they had
called off because the best of they knew over three
under we were taken down inside of two days.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
So what they're talking about it's going to be fewer
than two hundred.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
I mean, seriously, that's a day based upon what happened
a decade ago, let alone what may be now. The
other thing is, we don't even know what the vinal
account was the last time when they called it off
because there's so many. Number One, when people have this
go out, not everybody does.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
It the right way. Now everybody reports properly, and then
you have no idea.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
So with the extent to which it was so prolific
the last time, to try to say that they're going
to have some kind of like really sanctioned bear hunt,
what are you gonna do it for twelve hours? I mean,
there's a lot here that just doesn't sit right, doesn't
wash right, all right.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
The Jupiter Town Council appointing Dan Geisinger to fill a
vacancy in District one. Longtime member the town's Planning and
Zoning Boil step into the role when he has sworn
in June third. As far as the resignation of former
council member Cameron May, he left to run for mayor
was unsuccessful. National Weather Service out with that's twenty twenty
five wet season outlook the end says Florida residents can
(04:01):
expect a dry, hotter than usual summer. La Nina. They
say has been over since spring and that we're in
a neutral pattern that will continue for the next three months,
and the Weather Services there's a small possibility will go
back into Elninio like conditions in the fall. As a
matter of fact, that would be be heaved there during
hurricane season yea. Florida's rainy season ends in mid October.
(04:22):
President Trump welcome the Florida Gators men's basketball champions to
the White House yesterday and he was presented by head
coach Todd Golden with a number forty seven jersey, Golden
declaring the Gators are like the President's vision of America
a meritocracy, and the Panthers trying to build on their
Eastern Conference final lead. The team will face off against
the Hurricanes and Raleigh tonight game two. They already have
(04:43):
a one nothing lead in the series.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
