Speaker 1 (00:04):
The news you need to start your day in the
bomb beaches at the Treasure Coast. This is the Brian
Mud Show.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Historic Day.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
You know, we have the coverage live for you all
throughout the course of the show yesterday. We've talked about
what's happened throughout the course of the show today, a
man who covers presidents for a living, taking it all
in our White House correspondent, the host of the White
House Briefing Room. You can check out that podcast wherever
you get your podcasts. With John Decker and John joins us. Now,

(00:37):
good morning, Hey.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Good morning to you. Brian.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Historic Day, momentous day. I don't think anybody could detract
from what happened yesterday, the end of fighting in.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
The war in Gaza, the return of those twenty.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Living Israeli hostages. They're now back in Israel, they're back
with their families, the President speaking at the Knesset, also
meeting with otherworldly at that peace conference in Charmel, Shake, Egypt.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Quite the day. The President arrived back at the White
House after.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
That momentous day around three o'clock in the morning, and he's.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Actually got a full schedule today.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
He starts his day early in the afternoon meeting with
his counterpart from Argentina, and then late in the afternoon
Brian he'll be having a ceremony in which he'll award
posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
To Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
That will happen at four o'clock in the afternoon this afternoon.
But look, it's you can't take away what happened yesterday.
I think that the joy was felt in all of
the Middle East with all of the events occurring in
the twenty four hours yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, well said. And you take a look at the
thirty five countries on hand in Egypt, the diversity where
you have so many of these countries that don't have
common interest other than being you know, nations and bodies
of people on this planet. It may be the greatest
collaboration of varied interest in what place. And one time,

(02:02):
you know, we'll take a look at the UN. But
not a lot of unity in the UN.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
No, there's not. You know, I can't really think of anything.
Maybe you can in the past twenty years even that
the UN has accomplished of note, but every world leader
wanted to be there in Egypt yesterday to you know,
essentially had some sense of connection to what happened led

(02:29):
by President Trump that peace effort, and I think only
President Trump could have done that because of the close relationship,
the extremely close relationship and you saw that yesterday Brian,
that the President has with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nittanyahu,
but he also has very close relations with Arab and
Muslim leaders, and I think those close relations really went
a long way in terms of applying pressure not only

(02:52):
on Israel the President did do that, but also on
Hamas and that's what those Arab and Muslim countries did,
leading them to sign on to the peace deal.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I think it's really insightful what you just outlined there.
You go back to the president's first term, recognizing Jerusalem
USMBC there what other presidents said they would do and
never did. Then you end up getting into this year
and you had the tour throughout the Middle East where
President Trump was graded extremely warmly. Then you ended up
having the dropping of the mops on Iran and the

(03:23):
nuclear facilities, and it seems as though President Trump believes
that had outsized influence and being able to get to
this place, and part because you know, most of the
even in the Arab world, not fans of Iran, the
Iranian government, the MOAS, and that that was a way
to get that kind of nuclear monkey off at the
back of all the terror sponsors out there, including hamas.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Well. That's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
So that is one element that led to this peace deal,
Israel's tough action that it took against Iran and then
the President following up with action of our own. And
you know, I think that sent a message to the
Arab and Muslim world there's a new sheriff in town,
and that sheriff is the United States of America. And
you see that those leaders from those Arab and Muslim

(04:12):
countries really respond to that. They respond to that in
a very real way. The President, by the way we
saw this, besides having that close relationship with Prime Minister
next and Yahoo, he also has a very close relationship
with President Erdawan of Turkey, and Turkey played a very
important part in terms of applying pressure on Jimas.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
So hopefully what.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
The President did as it relates to ending the war
in Gods that can be a blueprint of sorts different players,
of course, but a blueprint for ending the war in Ukraine.
I think that's the president's next goal.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
John, I think it's an extremely astuti observation about Turkey
that you're just you mentioned. He spent extra time emphasizing
the relationship and the importance of Turkey yesterday in the
Egypt and I was thinking about that in the context
of what comes next, which is the one the President
hasn't been able to resolve Ukraine and Russia that situation. Course,

(05:05):
Turkey a member of NATO, which also has influence in
that regard as well. So the interesting is that if
you can leverage this into that next one.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Well, the President meets with President Zelenski on Friday, that's
not where the pressure needs to.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Be applied to.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Pressure needs to be applied on Putin. And there are differences,
of course between the situation in Gaza and the situation
regarding the war in Ukraine. One major difference is the
lack of leverage that exists in terms of applying that
leverage to Putin. There was leverage, and the President exerted
that leverage on Hamas from various quarters. That's what makes

(05:42):
this one so difficult. But you know, I've always said,
you know, you go back years that.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
You and I speak about this.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Brian I've always said that China holds the cards, you know,
in terms of ending that war in Ukraine. If President
she picks up the phone, hals to Putin and says
to Putin, essentially, let's just declare.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Victory and end this. Putin will do just that.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
He knows how important China is to Russia, and we'll
see if there's anything that the President can exert on
China to have China make that kind of phone call
to Putin.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I think you're exactly right, our White House correspondent, John Decker.
Thanks so much, Jeohn do appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Thanks Thanks Brian, bye bye
