Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the Brian mud Show. Thanks for listening. Passion
plus talent is unstoppable.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
It's time for today's Top three takeaways.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah, and I'll tell you at the onset my top
three takeaways full quarter pressor on Epstein, disclosure and whether
you want more or less Crime. All of my takeaways
are available the Brian Mudshow blog right now. They're also
available on the podcast that I'll have up for you
buying nine o'clock this morning. We are about to be
joined by Florida Senator Rick Scott, so we will not

(00:37):
get into all of my takeaways today, but again you
will be able to get them on the podcast and
then also on the Brian mud Show blog. But among
the things that did come up yesterday, you have the
president with the Polish President covered a lot of territory, including,
among other things, crime. Had this to say, I want.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
To go into Chicago and I have this incompetent governor
that doesn't want us. Do you know that this weekend
seventy two people were shot in Chicago?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, Labor day weekends sounds about right. It just nuts
that that would somehow or another be acceptable to anybody.
And one of the more remarkable things that's actually happened.
Do you remember the pushback in DC. Originally you've had
a one to eighty that's been done by DC Mayor
Muriel Bowser. In fact, she actually signed an executive order
now that calls on law enforcement in DC to do

(01:27):
everything they can to work with federal resources to continue
to protect the city for as long as the President's
emergency orders in place, but then also as a measure
that is intended to be lasting in that city beyond
an emergency declaration by the President. She's flat out admitted
that it's worked. And we have seen a DC, for example,

(01:49):
crime eleven percent lower for property, violent crime off fifty
percent in three weeks. The murder rate is off eighty
four percent, carjackings eighty seven percent decline. And here you
have Chicago where they're like, no, we're good. Yeah, we
got to tell us that over seventy shootings Labor Day weekend. Yeah, yeah,
sounds about right. You know, just a remarkable thing as

(02:11):
you see that a these horrible crime problems in major
cities can be fixed if you want to do something
about it. But then also the officials who apparently are
in favor of more crime Now, somebody who I know
is not in favor of more crime. Somebody who is
pretty tough on crime happens to be our senior Senator

(02:31):
Rick Scott, who joins us. Now, Good morning, Senator.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Good morning. First off, we need to really support a
law enforcement. I don't know anybody that want to live
in a dangerous neighborhood. I never met one of those people.
I've never met somebody that will once open up a
business or go to work in a dangerous neighborhood. I've
never met one person in my entire life. And so
let's support law enforcement. Let's and we got to get

(02:57):
this country safe.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
You know, it really does kind of speak to the
politics of the situation, right although you know, in Chicago politics,
they've got a long history of some shady things. So
who knows, maybe some of the officials that are opposing
this are you know, part of the problem. Maybe they're
the ones on the beneficiary side of the crime here.
But to your point, is really just the case that
you know, TDS runs so strong in Democrat circles that

(03:22):
they would rather have you know, these horrible crime issues
in their cities and in their states than you know,
taking a look at now. The DC example, it's not
just theoretical anymore. You take a look at three weeks
in DC and the city is cleaned up. That could
be your your home. I mean, who would reject that?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Well, I thought, you know, I'm in d C. And
everybody's talking about how you can walk. You can walk
around Union Station, you can walk around Navy Yard, you
can walk all these areas that you couldn't yet be careful.
So people are excited about getting out, they said on
the weekends that people are out now more. It's really fascinating.

(03:59):
It loves. I mean, one in my office she said,
I'm very complyed to ride the Metro now because there's
a National Guard there. She said, I was not riding
the Metro. So it's really changed in just the three
weeks that Trump has put the national Guard in. Here.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
As senator, speaking of you know, security measures, you had
the Trump administration take out a Venezuelan drug running ship.
You have the Trump administration that has a has surprise
stag out there for said Maduro, fifty million dollars. You're

(04:37):
calling on that to be raised to a hundred million.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Tell us about this, well, I went, look, I went
Madua in prison. I mean he's he's ahead of the
cartels that are sending drugs in the country, trained the
Robin Cartel de Le Solos, so he's ahead of those.
He stole the last election for sure, an election before that,
so he needs to be in prison. So I hope

(05:02):
that that somebody, you know, figures out how to arrest
Maduro and tending the person for the rest of his
life for the atrocity he's committed.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
A senator, when you take a look at speaking of
some of the geopolitics that are out there, one of
the things that we obviously need to be mindful of
as we're taking like at Venezuela. You know, I've said
this for a very long time, that you take a
look at kind of like the new axis. China isn't
just China. China is Russia. We've seen a lot of
activity there this week between President and She and Putin.

(05:35):
You've also got North Korea, little rocket Man, that is
part of that. You've got Venezuela, You've got Nicaragua, You've
got Cuba. They're all part of this. Saying Aron, yeah,
how you know you shouldn't certainly shouldn't forget that so
how how interconnected is all this and and how concerned

(05:55):
are you about what we're seeing out there right now
with these countries.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
You know, my biggest concern is the American public. It's
not waking up to this if we really, I mean,
first open our eyes. China is killing the American systems
through shoes, sitting, unvoliefs of amounts of fiting in this country. Cuba,
you know, Cuba, Venezuela, they're all healthy. Meess, Mexico. They

(06:24):
allow it to come across the border, do nothing to
stop it. So here's what we have, here's what we
have to do. Let's act an own message. Let's be
let's be selfish and say, you know what, I want
my kid to survive. How would you do that? Stop
buying things from countries for trying to kill your child.
That's what China is doing. And so anybody that wants

(06:46):
to work with China don't buy stuff from their countries.
If India wants to buy Russian oil, they stop buying
stuff from India. I mean, let's decide, let's make sure.
Let's say, let's take care of them. Americans say our
kids to teach things like that. So I think there's
going to be two military powers in the world. I
think there's going to be two trading partners, and they're

(07:09):
going to be the same. You can either be on
the China side or you'd be on the good guy
side America, and you're going to have to make a choice.
But every American citizen should stop buying anything. It was
the main China, send it back, stop buying anything. They
want to kill your child. They are killing children all
across this country every day.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Speaking with Florida Senator Rick Scott and speaking of you
know those related things you mentioned Mexico border, obviously we've
had a great deal of success. Not only is securing
the border with the Trump administration record low entrance illegal
entrants into this country also looks increasingly like the campaign
by the Department of Homeland Security encouraging self deportations has

(07:54):
been an enormous success as well. You have the official
numbers through the CPP on home app, but then you
start taking a look at some of the anecdotal and
other research that's out there, and we could be talking
about numbers that are well north of a million that
have opted to self deport rather than you know, worry
about being picked up and sent to a detention facility
and who knows where from there. You know how important

(08:18):
is that at this juncture? And also the continued funding
of these efforts.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Well, first off, we got to secure a country. We've
got to We've got to get these criminals and these
people when those drugst are kids and these chairs out
of our country. That has to happen. So I very
appreciate the President has secured the border and has focused
on that every day. If you're here illegally, you shouldn't
be here. I mean, figure out a way to do

(08:44):
it legally. We have legal processes who can apply, you know,
for assistantship and you know, uninvent people. But I say,
you know what your views are anti American. I don't
want you in my country. I don't want you around
my kids. Who wants who wants somebody that's anti America
around their children? I don't want people won't come in

(09:04):
here and sell drugs and commit crimes against kids and women.
So I think we have to say ourselves, let's take
care of American citizens first. Let's be respectful of everybody
around the world. But let's have a country it's safe.
You can get a job, you can get a good

(09:24):
paying job, your kids can get a great education. Let's
focus on that right now and spender resources. We're running
big deficits. We've got to get this country back to
work with American citizens.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Senator switching Gears here wanted to ask you about your
current thoughts on just the whole handling where we are
with the Epstein situation. You have the House committee that's
investigating this. You have the push now for the full

(09:57):
disclosure that is being attempted in the House. You had
a press conference that was pushing for this yesterday, one
of the victims saying this.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
President Trump, you have so much influence and power in
this situation. Please use that influence and power to help us,
because we need it now and this country needs it now.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Of course, Senator, you know for a lot of us,
I mean, it's we're ground zero here in this community,
in particular in the Palm Beaches, and you know so
many of the victims were farmed right out of schools here. Locally,
you have the President at this point who is being
dismissive of this being in the news, and that's not

(10:37):
sitting well with some people. What do you think in
terms of disclosure that's happened so far, disclosure that maybe
you might think should happen from here. What are the
next best steps in this situation and trying to get
the victims justice?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I think transparency and experiences deal always is best. I
worked with Pambondi for eight years when she turned general
and who was governor. I'm very appreciative of Pam's commitment
to transparency and accountability. I believe she'll continue to do
the right thing. She'll put out information and she'll she'll

(11:12):
protect you know, victims, So I think she's going to
do the right thing. I think this is a it's
something that people would want to make sure there's accountability.
So uh and I believe Pam's going to do it.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Should Congress pass legislation demanding full disclosure of everything that
the Justice Department has.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I think pretty announced that. I think all that information
is getting out there anyway, so if there is something,
you know, look, I believe in transparency. So if something
helps transparency, that's great, but mine, you know, you know,
when I've I talked to Pam Bondi, she's absolutely committed

(11:57):
to making sure every all information is out there bad.
She also knows the importance of protecting victims.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Senator Rick Scott, thank you so much for the time.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Appreciate it all right, take care by bye.
