Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to The Brian munt Show and thank you for listening.
It's time for today's top three takeaways. Helpful, useful, repeatable.
Happy Monday. Man.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
We gotta like going on. It's a lot of good
stuff going on for a lot of folks still feeling
good after last night's winning Canada. I will say that
the Panthers taking down the maple leafs in seven is
even a little bit more rewarding because of just what
a chip on the shoulder the Canadians have taken with

(00:50):
the rest of us, you might say. And so going
into Toronto, which, by the way, in the grand scheme
of like anti Trump, anti US ashons these days, Toronto
is like the belly of the beast.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Wow. So going into there and coming out just whipping
from the state of Florida, which is.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
From the state of Florida, which is I mean, there
are two things.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
That California team or a New York team, well, there
are two things to it.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
The first is you know that the Canadians kind of
scoffed at the idea of Florida ever getting hockey teams.
It's Florida and it's hockey, right, so and then you
add into it the rest of it, which is, yes,
it's Florida. We are we are Trumps state, we are
the conservative bell Weather in the country. Had had a
friend from Canada say, you will become the fifty first state.

(01:40):
She says that to her family back there a lone.
They're not very happy about it. Anyway, Congrats of the Panthers,
you know, congrats to speaking to Trump, Trump buying its agenda.
Because late last night Big House Budget Committee on Friday,
we heard BBB off rails a vote went south. That

(02:00):
same committee got together and passed the BBB last night,
mister Chair, on the vote, there were seventeen eyes, sixteen
no's and four present.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The eyes have it and the motions agreed to that one.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Big beautiful bill Act is ordered reported favorably to the
House of Representatives with a favorable recommendation.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
A note for the record that a quorum is present.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
There you go, and Joel, you're feeling it. Are you
still down with the BBB? Yeah? You know me still
find it esthetically pleasing, you know what I like about it.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
That's the actual name on the bill. Yes it is,
because you'll hear a report that's so called.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
But no, and you heard it right there, the Big Act.
That is the name of this thing. So yeah, the
BBB is on track. Just give you an idea of
what happens now. There's one more committee vote to go
through before the full House and House Bigger Mike Johnson

(03:01):
was involved leading up to this vote last night and
getting this thing across the finish line and the Budget Committee.
He promised to what he called small amendments before the
final committee vote is going to take place. Don't know
what that entails specifically, but he was exceedingly confident this
thing gets done this week, and you get through that
next committee vote, it goes to for a full House vote.

(03:23):
Then I mean we're talking about again there. They want
this done by the fourth of July. It looks like
it very well. It's on track to be there by
the fourth of July. So let's talk about Trump winning.
My top takeaway today is Trump winning. It is hard
to know where to begin when talking about the incredible
success that President Trump had in the Middle East last week.

(03:45):
I was kind of waiting until the whole thing was
done so I could just put it together and really
understand the full depth of it. It's easy to forget
it was a week ago today that the trade deal
of China got done.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
The first thing. That's how his week began.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Last week, I jotted down I just took down all
the accomplishments the Trump had in the Middle East last
week to figure out what they were and then how
it could communicate them.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
And it was the most incredible thing.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
In twelve fonts, I came out to seven pages of
Trump accomplishments in the Middle East last week. In other words,
like in terms of communicating this too, if I just
dedicated my Top three Takeaways to only breaking down each
of US and Trump's accomplishments in the Middle East last week,
I would not finish telling you about them until Thursday.

(04:37):
So I've got to do these super readers digest version
of all that, only the highlights. So let's start with
the economy Saudi Arabia. Trump secured a six hundred billion
dollar investment from them over four years. Because other things
like oh, it's never going to happen, No, it's six
hundred billion over four years. It's extremely specific. It focuses

(04:58):
on transportation, real estate, and automotive. In Kuitar, everybody wants
to complain about the He's going to take the jumbo
jets the palace in the Get over yourselves, all of you.
Guitar two hundred billion dollar deal announced for the purchase
of one hundred and sixty jets from Boeing. In the UAE,

(05:20):
the US and UAE agreed to build a five gigawatt
data center complex to advance AI capabilities, described as sufficient
to power a major city. Total investments from those three
big Middle Eastern entities over two trillion dollars. Then, on

(05:45):
national security, Saudi Arabia one hundred and forty two billion
dollars weapons package agreed on missiles, radar systems, transport aircraft
a Kuitar signed a ten year contract for the US
to maintain the largest military base in the Middle East.
On technology, UAE deal for data AI data center complex

(06:11):
that just talked about. That counters China's technological influence in
the region. Also, Saudi Arabia a deal for eighteen thousand
plus Nvidia AI microchips, similarly counting China's Ai push in
the region on diplomacy, the temporary lifting of sanctions on Syria,
seeking peace and normalized relations that could become permanent if

(06:33):
Syria actually decides it's going to be a good actor.
Gets away from Iran. Speaking of Iran, proposals exchanged between
Iran and the Trump administration regarding a non nuclear deal.
That would be a first major stat towards normalization for
the terror sponsoring nation. If you had any one of
those things, it would have been a significant week. Last

(06:55):
week he had all of those things, which takes me
my second takeaway today, the Middle Eastern takeaways.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Saudi Arabia gave President Trump's Middle East trip a flying start,
providing Fighter Jezz to esport Air Force.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
One into the Kingdom.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Then came a lavender carpet rollout the moment, setting the
tone for a week filled with opulence.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
You know, they have a lot of money, and I
want them to spend the money in the United States.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
There. They have a lot of money, and I want
it right. This is not complicated, it's very basic. Yes, yes,
and what is being done through economic means here is incredible.
I'm going to get to that piece just kind of
the piece through strength element of this in a moment.
But what happened last week is about as much as

(07:47):
anything that we've ever seen in this region, like in
our lifetimes. That happened inside of a week. I wanted
to do. I wanted to figure out, how is this
plane over there? Like we know that Trump was treated
like a hero. I mean it wasn't just the that
kind escort he had, Cammel's, the hair flippers as Joel
really enjoyed last week. I mean, you name it, he
had it. Al Jazeera you're familiar with them, love them

(08:12):
or hate them, and most people in this country tend
to be.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
More of the latter.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
They are the largest in leading news organization in the
Middle East, and so their reporting is kind of like
that is the thing. It's like what CNN was thirty
years ago in this country, or won the big alphabet
you might say CBS when cronkit was their kind of thing.
Al Jazeera's reporting on this in the Middle East after

(08:38):
Trump was gone this weekend was this. They produced a
story the five takeaways from President Trump's visit, and they
were these. Number one a rebuke of interventionalism, they say,
addressing an investment summit, Trump promoted a realist approach to
the Middle East, one in which the US does not
intervene in the affairs of other countries. So that was

(09:00):
elaborated on extremely positively. Biolo Jazering Company number two. Because remember,
you got a lot of people that are not big
fans of Israel over there. They say Israel sidelined the
no Gaza solution. They say it is rare for US
presidents to travel to the Middle East and not visit Israel.
But Trump omitted the US ally from his itinerary as

(09:22):
he toured the region, which he did, of course purposefully
because he didn't want that to become central to the
conversation and kind of derail what he was working on.
But again that was strategically viewed positively, and it's spun
that way. After he left three lifting serious sanctions, they say,
in a move that surprise many observers, Trump announced that
he will offer sanctionarylie to Syria as the country emerges

(09:43):
from a decade plus civil war. And then for a
carrot and a stick for Iran, they say. In Saudi Arabia,
Trump declared that he wants a deal with Iran, and
he wants it done quickly, and five they say, investments, investments,
and more investments. Before entering politics, Trump was a real
mogul who played up his celebrity persona as a mega
rich deal maker. He appears that brought that business mindset

(10:07):
to the White House. Okay, so that is what the
Middle East reporting is after he's gone extremely positive. He's
Trump's actually getting better play by Al Jazeera in the
Middle East than actually is our godless soulas slanders news
media here.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
So do it that way you will.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Anyone who watched what transpired saw that President Trump did
what no American president has ever done in that region, including,
by the way, being awarded with the UAE's highest civilian honor.
So that takes me to my third takeaway today. What's next?
Here's Fox's tradeingks.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
A meeting between President Trump and Syrian leader ahmadal Shara
marked a historic moment and shift in momentum. Just months ago,
the United States had a ten million dollar bounty on
the man who led the charge to overthrow the Assad regime.
Now was sanctioned set to be lifted on Syera. President
Trump is urging the country to join the Abraham Accords
and normalized ties with Israel.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah, I mean, wouldn't that be amazing if Syria was
actually aligned with Israel. So President Trust's Middle East trip
yep marked by the massive economic achievements, diplomatically advanced US
golf ties, lift dis sanctions in Syria, progressed around nuclear talks,
shifted US policy towards non interventionalism. But the Trump is

(11:27):
also about something but so much more, restoring order to
the Middle East while breaking the back of China's growing
influence there. For years, I've talked about how China is
in just China, It's Russia, it's Iran, It's North Korea.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
And what does North Korea have, Jill A little rocketman.
That's pretty good.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
It's Cuba, it's Venezuela, and it's Nicaragua. China was also
looking to add other key players to the middle in
the Middle East, and so what Trump did is cement
the US's place as the superpower leader for the region
to advance, with which China's influence at bay huge. They've
still only got Iran now. Plus, if President Trump can

(12:06):
negotiate peace with Russian Ukraine, which is being worked on
again today, Trump can do something similar with Russia to
kind of decouple them from China's influence and break this
whole access thing before it gets us into World War three.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
And ditto Iran.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Though I'm far more skeptical of any kind of deal
that would be meaningful with them, because, I mean, again,
when you have people that chant death to America, death
to Israel, I'm not really sure that if they strike
a deal with you, they mean, Wow, I wanted to
kill you yesterday, but now we give you friends. This
trip was as much about peace in the Middle East
and beyond by using economic opportunity as the catalyst, as anything.

(12:44):
It was also about limiting and isolating the economies of
bad actors around the world. You know, Ronald Reagan brought
about peace through strength, and he and Trump are very
different presidents, but with a lot of similarities. Peace with
three strength was on full display over the past week,
but not militarily this time, economically entirely this time, which

(13:06):
could be the permanent game change that is needed for
relative peace and stability in that region, and especially especially
as far as Israel is concerned. The irony is a
lot of people are like, oh, you overlooked Israel. The
single best thing he could have done for Israel Is
what he did last week so just incredible,
