Speaker 2 (01:09):
Hey, Brian, I was just listening to your show this
morning talking about illegal aliens and getting government benefits, and
one thing I think you've forgot was the amount of
children they're having here which now are apparently is still
legal citizens of our country entitled to a lot of freebies.
(01:29):
I think that's a big thing people don't really know about.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, so you know, personal, I can assure you I've
not forgotten about the impact of children born in this
country to non citizens. You've raised a great point and
bringing this up in the context of the conversation we're having,
and also it's on topic because this is the week
that the Supreme Court here is President Trump's challenge to
birthright citizenship, and so there is a lot to discuss
(01:55):
as this is about to come to a head. That
hearing is going to take place on Thursday at the
United States Supreme Court. It's a very big day, not
just on birthright citizenship, but even a couple of the
overreach cases. The Supreme Court is also winding into that
one session three different issues associated with the Trump administration,
(02:17):
including whether lower courts are going to be able to
have the authority issue nationwide injunction, So that's going to
be a big one. And by the way, our White
House correspondent John Decker, who is the only member of
the Press Corps who's an attorney and also not just
like any attorney, but is authorized to argue cases before
the United States Supreme Courts, which only has a select
few get to do. He's going to be in the
(02:39):
court for those hearings on Thursday, so I'll be able
to get a very good read for you by Friday
as to what took place and which way it's looking.
So anyway, as we take a look at all of this,
there is a massive number of children who are born
to parents who are unlawfully in our country. The most
(03:00):
recent study on the topic was completed in February by
the Center for Immigration Studies, painting a picture of just
how pervasive the situation is in this country following years
of record illegal immigration into the country under the Biden administration.
According to the studies' findings, how many illegal immigrants are
having children in the United States annually now? Answer is
(03:26):
two hundred and twenty five to two hundred and fifty
thousand per year now two twenty five to two fifty
and We've got pretty good read on that because they're
having babies and hospitals, right, so you do have documentation
that way. And they also become the kids citizens and
it's like, oh, well their parents are not, so you
can you can put together the numbers pretty well on
(03:48):
this and how what percentage of all births now are
children born to parents that have no lawful right to
be here? Seven percent now, So, with an average of
six hundred and fifty one children born to illegal immigrants
in the United States every day on average, this dynamic
(04:11):
continues to place additional strain on US resources. By the
household number, if you take like the percentage of households
on government assistance programs. I've talked about this, including yesterday,
sixty three percent is the number, sixty three percent non
citizen households on at least one government assistance program. The
(04:32):
addition of kids does lead to greater government dependents to
the point of today's note, as I previously have illustrated,
the longer an illegal immigrant is in the country, the
more likely they are to end up on government assistance programs.
Another one of the false narratives, Oh, you know, people
get their feet under them and they become self sufficient.
No bull crap. They do is they figure out how
(04:53):
to become even better at getting on government cheese. That's
what they're their best at. And often children play into
that consideration with many. According to the National Academy's study
of the financial impact of illegal immigrants, the average net
lifetime financial impact of each illegal immigrant from the time
they enter this country until the time they exit, be
(05:15):
it by deportation or death, is sixty eight thousand dollars. Again,
that is the net figure. That means that any tax
is paid by illegals or theoretical contributions to society are
accounted for. There the net impact is a drain of
sixty eight thousand per It's insane. There is no relative
(05:39):
strain on on government programs that is greater than the
cost of illegal immigrants. It's not even close. So this
is all part of what's on the line is the
Supreme Court weighs the birthright citizenship question. It is clear
the current policy which is allowed for children born to
parents lacking illegal author be considered illegal citizens. That has
(06:04):
provided significant incentive for many families. How much so current
estimate for the total number of US citizens born to
illegal immigrants. I gave you the daily or the annual number. Now,
but how many kids are there who have parents that
are not legally in this country? Between seven to ten million,
seven to ten million. Also related to the impetus behind
(06:28):
today's note. While the overall use of government assistants program
stands at sixty three percent, for those with children born
in the United States, the number jumps to eighty eight percent,
so that you know, it really kind of drives it
home another twenty five percent, So basically, any illegal immigrant
(06:48):
family that has kids here on government programs, I mean
eighty eight percent, so anchor babies, as they're often referred to,
they lead to the greatest use of government assistance programs
of any group within the United States. By way of comparison,
the use of government assistants for American families stands at
about thirty percent thirty, so thirty to eighty eight. Illegal
(07:11):
immigrant families are almost exactly three times more likely to
be on government assistance programs. I mean, it's insane in
so many different ways. So yeah, there are a lot
of ways in which American taxpayers have been on the
hook when it comes to pain for the facilitation of
illegal immigration. None are or having greater than those presented
(07:32):
by illegal immigrants to choose to have kids in the
United States, and it's one of many arguments in favor
of ending birthright citizenship as it's been allowed to persist.
We will soon see if the Supreme Court agrees
