While there’s a great deal of emotion for many involved in this topic, as always there are two sides to stories and one side to facts, so let’s break those down as it relates to today’s question(s). The first question is potentially more complicated than it may seem. That’s due to what Israel is – a Jewish state.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Perhaps, Hey, Brian, is there a place for us just
not to support Israel? Is that okay? Or are we
automatically all anti Semites if we don't support Israel? Because
that's pretty much what you say every time, and everybody
else in here Israel first Party.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
So today's note.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Is in response to my Top three Takeaways from Tuesday
entitled Trump's MTG divorce in the battle for the soul
of the GOP. In those takeaways, I describe President Trump's
public break with supporting Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Green, but
also one of the major undercurrents within fringe factions of

(01:28):
the GOP anti Semitism. You see, MTG specifically has taken
to speaking at White Nationalists events while advancing ubsurd theories
a law that Jews use lasers to create California's wildfires
to profit from them, something that she only very recently

(01:48):
walked back right before going on shows like The View Now.
While breaking much of this down in my takeaways, I
also said that just generally there's no place for anti
semitism of the GOP, which is at the crux of
today's question. Well, there's a great deal of emotion for

(02:09):
many involved in this topic. As always, there are two
sides of stories and one side of facts. So rather
than dealing in emotion, let's break these down as it
relates to today's question or questions. The first question is
potentially more complicated than it may seem, and that's due

(02:30):
to what Israel is.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
What is Israel.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Israel is a Jewish date, So to walk you back,
and this is foundationally important in this conversation. Israel was
established as a Jewish date on May fourteenth of nineteen
forty eight, shortly after the end of World War two
and forty five. The Holocaust, which killed six million Jews,

(03:00):
intensified global support for a sovereign Jewish homeland in the
historical land of Israel, just ancient Judea and Samaria. The
whole idea is, look, Jews need a country where they
can be safe because of everything that's happened here. So
the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine recommended partition in

(03:26):
nineteen forty seven, proposing separate Jewish and Arab states. Jewish
leaders accepted it, Arab states rejected it.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Leading to civil unrest.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
This is the first occasion, by the way, and it's
not the more recently you had the Oslo Cords in
ninety three.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
But this was the.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
First time as to why there was not a recognized
Palestinian state because the so called Palestinian people rejected it
and they have historically rejected it. Why have they historically
rejected becoming a sovereign entity because they don't recognize Israel.
Because they will not recognize, you know, from the river

(04:06):
to the sea. They believe that if there's Israel, they
cannot exist. They believe that if they're Jews in that
territory they cannot exist.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Would that established?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Let's look at what anti Semitism actually is, because, by
the way, amid some of the comments I've received, I
have had some folks send me what a definition of
anti semitism is. By the way, not one of them
is the actual definition of anti semitism. For somebody's reached
out to me, and there is an official one. I
think this is really important too. The most widely accepted

(04:44):
definition of anti Semitism and the official definition adopted by
most countries, including the United States. So this is the
official policy, the official definition in the United States of
America provided by the International Holocaust Remember and Science.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
This is it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Anti Semitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may
be expressed as hatred towards Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations
of anti Semitism are directed toward Jewish or non Jewish
individuals and or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and
religious facilities. Specific examples provided are these calling for aiding

(05:26):
or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the
name of an ideology or religion, accusing Jews as a
people of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust, denying the Jewish
people their right to self determination, claiming the existence of
Israel is a racist endeavor, while applying double standards not

(05:49):
expected of any other democratic nation using classic stereotypes. These
include world conspiracies, blood libel, controlling governments, etc. And holding
Jews collectively responsible for actions of the State of Israel.
Now that last one, in particular sets the stage for

(06:10):
addressing today's questions pragmatically. You'll notice that the definition of
anti Semitism speaks of the actions of the State of
Israel as opposed to the State of Israel itself. And
that is a difference, with a very important distinction. When
today's question was posed as are we automatically all anti

(06:32):
Semites if we don't support Israel?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
That's an answer to a question that only you can answer.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Is it possible to be pro American while not supporting
the policies of the Trump administration and the current political
makeup of the federal government?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Absolutely right?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Are you anti American if you don't suppor or the
United States of America. If you don't believe in the
United States of America, you don't think it should be yes,
you are. That is the distinction. So the question is
do you not support the actions of the Israeli government

(07:17):
currently or is your issue the fact that Israel exists
because it's a Jewish date This is a false flag situation.
And I've seen this argument advanced on numerous occasions where
people will hide behind this argument to try to make
it seem like they can playoff anti sibmit.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I don't know if that's the case here.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
I'm not accusing, I'm asking because they're in lies the
crux of the matter. And again, the answer that is
yours to decide is only you know what's in your heart.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
And I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Specific when I say support for Israel generally. I'm a
Christian Biblically, when Israel falls, what happens. And I'm going
to leave that one out there too, because if you
are a Christian, or if you claim to be, and
you don't know the answer to that question, it has
some learning to do.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Let's just say it doesn't go.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
That's not gonna work out the way that you want
if Israel falls. So effectively, when I said that anti
Semitism doesn't have a place within the GOP, that could
also be stated as racism and hatred generally don't have
a place within the GOP. And by the way, now
I guys speak for the Republican Party. I don't, but

(08:34):
I do strongly stand by that position. It shouldn't have
a home in any political party, though it has firmly
had a home in the Democrat Party, and that's part
of what's unfortunate. The last thing I want to say
is the one that I most closely aligned with politically
becoming corrupted by racism and hatred as well.
