Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to the Brian Mud Show. Thanks for listening. Passion
plus talent is unstoppable. It's time for today's Top three takeaways.
Targeted ice violence, that Charlie Kirk Effect continues, and a
turning point in housing. Perhaps my top takeaway for you

(00:24):
is an act of targeted violence. Box's Chef Banaso.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
The investigation is ongoing, but what we know now is
twenty nine year old Joshua john of Oklahoma is indeed
as the gunman who the FBI says, with anti ICE
messages on bullet casings, shot indiscriminately onto the Dallas Ice facility,
hitting three detainees, no agents, before killing himself. The takeaway from.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
All of this is that the rhetoric has to stop.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
There are people out there who are seeing what is
being placed online and they're coming and they're doing acts.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Of buy ice. Dallas Acting Field Director josh Johnson amid
several recent attacks on agents and other facilities, including a
previous bomb threat at the Dallas Ice Center just last month.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Right, and so, as my top takeaway is an act
of targeted violence, how many times have we heard about
that kind of thing recently? Yesterday's attack on an ice
fan by a sniper who used anti ICE messaging is
but the latest event identified by the FBI as an
act of targeted violence. Just two weeks removed from the

(01:33):
assassination of Charlie Kirk. One day following the conviction of
the second would be Trump assassination, the radical left was
added again, attempting to assassinate ICE agents, however, miscalculating and
murdering an illegal immigrant and winning others instead. But did

(01:54):
you know the yesterday's attack in Dallas was actually the
third attack on ICE agents within just the past week. Yeah,
I mean, unless somebody dies anymore, I guess it doesn't
make the news. Last Friday in Chicago, over one hundred rioters,
through tear gas slash tires, blocked vehicles at a nice

(02:16):
processing center. The day before, eleven New York state legislators
and four other rioters physically blocked ICE agents from accessing
the federal building. They were arrested. Only six days before that,
an illegal immigrant used a vehicle to attempt to murder
an ICE agent in Illinois, hitting the officer and dragging him,

(02:39):
leaving him seriously injured. Again, this has all happened within
just the past two weeks. Independent of yesterday, there have
been at least eight other violent attacks on ICE just
since July. In the previous ICE targeting attack with snipers
in Texas and the words of FBI Director Cash Pattel yesterday,

(02:59):
these despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not
a one off now, They certainly are not, and they
are happening more frequently, you know, following the assassination of
Charlie Kirk, I brought you a series of stories that
showed the disturbing view of the possible based on the
mindset of the left. As mentioned in my story Assassination Culture,

(03:20):
political violence tolerated by the Left. The study that was
conducted earlier this year highlighted a growing acceptance of lethal violence,
particularly among younger ideologically left individuals active on social media.
That is the most dangerous profile in society today, younger
ideologically left individuals active on social media, and most specifically

(03:44):
what we ended up seeing in that study more broadly,
that was really kind of horrifying. I thought up to
fifty five percent of those who identify it as being
left of center that in an assassination of President Trump
could potentially be justified. There could be circumstances under which

(04:06):
I can see that with thirteen percent who just think
right now it's absolutely justified, just go kill them, that
would be great thirteen percent, and then up to fifty
five percent that when you add qualifications to it. Yeah,
like yeah, at that point I could see assassinating Trump.
Those are scary stats. Scary stats, they're tribling numbers. And

(04:30):
right on Q yesterday we have this assassin identified as
a twenty nine year old man with social media postings
that were supportive of Antifa, an organization that just on
Monday President Trump to be declared to be a domestic
terror organization, and with communist propaganda. So yeah, the assassination

(04:52):
culture is here. Well, we don't know how many of
those who feel that political assassinations are justified are willing
to attempt to carry them out. But the view of
the possible, given the deeply disturbing mindset of what's now
most people who identify with the political left, well that
may be. What we're beginning to say is how many

(05:13):
will act on it. What's clear is that politicians on
the left who've been fanning the flames of ANTII sediment
are responsible for radicalizing impressionable leftists into terrorists. This is
what marks us too. This is why the political left
must be defeated in every election period and happier news.

(05:37):
My second takeaway for you today, The Charlie Kirk effect continues.
Fox's Kevin Cork.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
It's been called the Charlie Kirk effect, and the evidence
lies not only in the pews, but also on social media.
One user writing, our church was packed today. Hundreds came
to Christ through baptism after the service.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
The Charlie effect. Praise God.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah. So last week I brought you the news the
Charlie Kirk effect was real and that through the first
week after the assassination, we saw significant increases in church intendons,
including a surge of fifteen percent that had been measured,
a number that was on par with what we saw
after nine to eleven. But that's not all. Now we
have two weeks of data, and in this digital age

(06:21):
with many ways to connect with one's faith, we're also
seen that connection made socially and through apps that perpetuate Christianity.
The leading related app Hollo, is seen as surge that's
even larger. According to Hollo, they've seen a ninety five
percent increase in new users over the first two weeks
since the attack on Charlie ninety five percent increase basically

(06:44):
have doubled. Hello already had well over ten million users
Ashley and I included, So this increase not a small
sample size increase in a world with a lot of problems.
The good news, the Charlie Kirk effects continues. My third
takeaway today a potential turning point. No, I'm not talking

(07:06):
about that turning point today. I'm not even talking about
the Tall Tales by James Comy, though I do want
to just touch on that briefly because it did hit
in the news later the day. A lot of people
are getting animated by this. Fox's David Spott.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
The Justice Department is declining to comment in this case altogether,
as grand jury information is secretive. In the United States.
We are told that the statute of limitations for lying
to Congress is five years, and authorities are looking at
bringing a charge relating to Comy's testimony before the Senate

(07:43):
Judiciary Committee on September thirtieth, twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Okay, I don't know what's going to be or what's
not going to be with that. We're trying to get
a line to Congress thing before the statute runs next week.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Got it.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
In the grand scheme of what James Comy did all
sets out in the Durham Report. I mean, that's the
least of his offenses. And here's the broader point, And
it's something I referenced many months ago when people are
when ag BONDI was talking about, yeah, we're we're investiging

(08:24):
all this, and people are like, yeah, accountability and I'm like,
it'sign coming. And if for no other reason, it's not coming,
because where is Comy, if he is indicted, going to
be and die? Where will this trial take place? Washington, DC?
You're going to get a DC jury that's going to

(08:44):
take a look at tall Tales and his seashells and
find him guilty. To know, Tall Tales will probably still
be walking on beaches finding mysterious shell formations.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Just I want to be wrong.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Look, I don't root to be wrong about things that
I tell you. I root to be wrong about this one. Unfortunately,
in this context, as I'm also inclined to say, I've
not made a career out of being wrong, So it
tends to be an extraordinarily rare thing. So My third
takeaway for you today was actually not about COMI I

(09:26):
just because it's out there, I wanted to hit on it.
It's about housing. It's about housing. So the turning point
we might have had it over the past month. Florida.
Our housing market has been in a real role for
a couple of years now, and it looks like that
may be in advance of the Fed's cutting of interest rates.
Combined with an ample supply of options housing inventory, it

(09:49):
reached pre pandemic levels in our state. Buyers into Florida's
housing market stepped up over the past month. According to
the Florida Realtors Association, we just saw these second biggest
surgeon in activity that we've seen in four years. You'd
have to go back to the peak of the post
pandemic boom outside of November of last year to find
as big of an increase year over year. Pending home

(10:11):
sales were at nine point nine percent over the prior
year last month, with even condos and town homes the
hardest to sell properties for over three years, seeing a
four point nine percent increase over the prior year. Most recently,
we've been seeing declines in property sales and even net
declines and prices year over year, So pending sales don't
equal closed sales in one month, doesn't make a trend. However,

(10:32):
what we've seen is a sudden surge and interest preceding
a major catalyst in lower interest rates. So that makes
it a bit more compelling because it's not just kind
of like a random number, like maybe there's one off
in August. There is actually something that could say they're
staying power here with one rate cut in the books,
more forecasted by the Fed on the way, along with

(10:52):
season that is on the horizon as well. There is
the first indication that the law in Florida's housing market
that has been pronounced in South Florida may soon be
over
