Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to The Brian Munt Show and thank you for listening.
It's time for today's top three takeaways. Helpful, useful, repeatable.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Now this is a much safer place nearly one hundred
days into the Trump administration, and scottis the Supreme Court
considering the school choice case this week too. My top
three takeaways for you as we dive in. Every day
that Donald Trump is president of the United States, the

(00:43):
country happens to be a safer place.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
President Trump will rally in Michigan tomorrow to mark his
first one hundred days. It is the president's first rally
style event of his second term. It happens in McCombe County,
Michigan and Automaking Hub not far from Detroit. Yeah, sure enough,
and so tomorrow one hundred days. I'm curious, shol does
it feel like it's been more less?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
It feels like more and I think it's because of
so much that's happened.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, it does kind of feel like he's been back
there for a while. I would agree with you. I
would take the over on that too, just in terms
of the feelings. But anyway, so, yeah, tomorrow Mark's hundred days.
You heard he's going to have a rally in Michigan.
By the way, we have a one hundred day special
with President Trump from eight pm until ten pm on Wednesday.

(01:40):
Will bring that to you live, so you will want
to make sure that you tune in and catch that.
But yeah, so tomorrow, one hundred days in office, and
along with it, a lot of attention going to be
paid to what the president has been doing at a
historic pace. You hear a lot of the polls are
there well, one of the worst approval ratings ever for
first one hundre days. Whatever. Today, I want to start

(02:06):
off by drilling down to the extent to which our
country has been made safer during the president's first ninety
nine days in office. Is that the feeling that even
many of the President's biggest supporters might be surprised by
the extent to which the administration has had success limiting

(02:29):
illegal entry into our country. So on that note, Trivia
time and first trivia question for you of the week,
how many fewer aliens are even attempting entering to the
United States? How many are even thinking? You know, what
we need to be doing right now is trying to
get across that border. What is the percentage decline?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And I feel like I've heard it somewhere in the
eighty something percent, So it seems awful high. Let's say
eighty five.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, that's a pretty strong number right there, right, I
mean if we had a greater than eighty percent, ninety
five percent, Wow, it's ninety five percent. So from the
time the Trump was sworn into office in January until
the end of the month of the initial decline, you
had border crossing activity that was down ninety three percent. Okay,

(03:24):
so he's get sworn in boom, ninety three percent right away?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Like where not even trying this?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
By February that number rose to a ninety four percent decline.
And what has it been most recently, Well, in March
it was ninety five percent. We don't have the final
numbers or April. Every indication looks like it's going to
be another ninety five percent or plus. Massive, right, it
means massive declines and even attempted illegal entry into this country,

(03:53):
even attempted asylum seeker seeking, you know, the people who
jant up to the southern border with confidence, with confidence
and go with their Biden shirt on by the way,
let me end Biden and gets there and sees a

(04:15):
border patrol.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Great, that means you can't do anything right. This is
where I say assylum, and the border patrol agent would
very defeatedly go, here's your goodie bag. Where do you
want your all expense pay trip. It would be like
that kind of thing. Like so even those people down

(04:39):
ninety five percent. But when you take a look at
what the trend line is, as this thing continues to grow,
it is obvious the word has gotten out across the
world and humble and Security Secretary of Christi Nomes done
especially good job of this. Of course, the media campaign

(04:59):
and every everything else that was not just being advertised
here but was actually being advertised in a lot of
the hotbed countries as well. But it is clear that
Donald Trump means business. Okay, so that is a big number,
and that necessarily means that you're going to be safer
because you have many fewer bad people that are going

(05:19):
to be getting in here. But here is the bigger number.
The one that I think is just kind of like
a mind blowing number. How many border crossers have actually
made it into the United States, how many have successfully
entered this country? And this one will blow your mind

(05:45):
in a positive way, I think, unless you're like a
leftist judge that protects the legal immigrants of our American
citizens or tries to reroute them. If you're a Wisconsin
judge around ice.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
I'm going to guess it was somewhere under a thousand,
in the eight hundred range, and.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
That would be strong, right, I mean, given the incredible
numbers that we had previously, nine nine, it's right, Uh,
just nueve essay, I mean one digit nine. I mean
the net decline in illegal immigration into this country since

(06:23):
Donald Trump once again became president of the United States
is over ninety nine point nine percent. Now that's a win,
right there. To put what's been accomplished here in perspective,
and let's say Trump did nothing else other than this
unbelievably successful presidency so far, but consider this, during the

(06:45):
same window of time last year, we averaged nearly two
illegal immigrants entering the United States per minute twenty four
hours a day, seven days a week, two per minute
were coming across. In other words, that means more illegal
immigrants entered the United States every five minutes under Joe

(07:07):
Biden that have in nearly one hundred days under this administration.
That I think is a mind blowing number. So from
the reinstallation of President Trump's immigration policies from his first
term to the Lincoln Riley Act, nowhere has the administration
had more success more quickly than on illegal immigration. And

(07:29):
about that my second takeaway today. Every day that Rondee
Santis is governor of Florida, which Trump is president, our
state is a safer place. Here is borderzar Tom Homan
with Fox News over the weekend, we have the most
secure border in the history of this nation. And the
data shows that we had over eleven thousand a day
under Biden.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
The other day we had a one to seventy eight.
The people even trying.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Again, So speaking of illegal immigration, a tidal wave hit
Florida last week. You catch this, Joel, the title wave.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I had seen something on you.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Yeah, not that tidle wave, not unlike one influenced by
the moon. You know, it was one that was influenced
by a person that was bent on detaining and deporting
illegal immigrants and the state that actually cooperates. So recently,
we had come across reports of successful sting operations by
state and local law enforcement along with the ICE. This

(08:26):
included seventy illegal immigrants being detained in just one sting
in Indiantown. Talked about that anyway, it turns out that
the operation was part of something that much bigger, dubbed
Operation Tidle Wave. You had nearly eight hundred illegal immigrants
that have been detained by ICE just in our state recently,
with the assistance of FHP and local law enforcement agencies.

(08:51):
Precisely the policies Governor De Santis said that we needed
when the Trump administration was back in place, exactly the
kind of policies that were made mandatory. A new state
law passed in February during the special session. Remember that
all the games are being played with House Speaker Daniel Prez,
I'm going to cancel your session. De Santis, I'm gonna
do my own session. Then we'll whatever'll the third one.

(09:14):
We end up getting this legislation. Now, while aspects of
that law are now being litigated, what is clear, based
on the size and scope of the Title Wave is
how key it is to have cooperation at all law
enforcement agencies. Now, among the arrests made during Operation Title
Wave in legal immigrants who've been convicted of murder and
manslaughter in their native countries, along with numerous Semis thirteen

(09:37):
and related gang members people that has recently two weeks
ago roaming our streets. And my third takeaway for you
today a big week four school choice. By the way,
good morning. I hope you're doing well. Hope you feel
better about your team's straft than Joel does about his.
Let's see big smile on his face right now. I

(09:57):
can see at any given time, it's never more than
like five seconds away from your thought process.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Right now, what are they thinking? That's all I'm gonna say.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Okay, Jill's not happy with the Dolphins draft, but but
I do think that what goes down the Supreme Court
will end up making school choice advocates happy, happier than
than Joel is right now. So when we take a
look at school choice, let's kick it off with one
of the big developments in the second biggest state, Fox

(10:28):
is Jeff Binosso it's.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
A major win for school voucher proponents with a one
billion dollar education bill allowing school choice now on its
way to Governor Greg Abbott's desk. The measure cheer down
by President Donald Trump, who talked to the Texas legislature
prior to Thursday's vote. I do think it's a really
forward thinking vote.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
There's nothing complection about it.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
More than thirty states have implemented some sort of voucher program.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yeah, so about that. Floridas, of course, our universal school
choice program is the largest in the country, and the
United States Supreme Court set to hear six more cases
this week, with one that could prove critical to Florida's
universal school choice program, along with other school choice programs
across the country. On Wednesday, Supreme Court will hear the
Oklahoma Charter School Board Versus Drummond's case.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Now.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
In this case, Oklahoma Charter School Board executed a contract
with a Catholic virtual school to operate a religious charter
school in the state. State Attorney General sued, arguing that
the contract violated state prohibitions on religion in schools. The
decision in that case could have implications for whether religious
schools are allowed to access public money for school choice programs.

(11:38):
Currently in Florida, with our universal school choice program, we
do allow for religious school access, and I am confident
that at the conclusion of this case that will still
be the case. But this Good Is ruling obviously proved
to be one of the most important in school choice history.
