Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hey, thanks for listening and welcome back to the Brian
Mud Show. Time now for today's top three takeaways.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Hey there, Happy Tuesday, as the rain is moving away
and things will be drying out all throughout the day.
Today is the biggest day yet for the BBB. Big
day for the BBB. And first, before we get into
the big BBB Day, let's see what the President is

(00:42):
up to in the Middle East.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Foxes Ashley Stromeyer.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
President Trump is expected to draw even more investment in
the US on this three country trip to.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
The Middle East.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
It also follows multiple foreign policy successes for the president
in his second term. This includes Ukraine and Russia peace talks,
brokering trade deal with China, and the release of the
last United States citizen, and then stopping nuclear war between
India and Pakistan.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
And it's like the oh yeah, throw in, oh yeah,
and stopping nuclear war. It was Monday, you know, things happen,
so yeah, amazing this guy, UK trade deal, India, Pakistan
sees fire, China trade deal, AMA's hostage release, Zelenski putin
meeting an executive order aimed at a lower prescription drug cost.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It was Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Every day of late has been filled with huge news
that's likely to continue as President Trump has made its
way to the Middle East, where he's interested in continuing
to broker trade deals and established peace. And I really
just do think Billy Joel needs to do a reboot
for Trump. We need a Trump version if we didn't
start the fire.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
So anyway, the thing about that was a lot of
that stuff was kind of seen as negative in that song.
So I mean, so this stuff is all it was
all mixed? I get it wasn't mixed.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Can you actually pay attention to the lyrics? I don't
care what people say. I care what it is.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
If I paid attention to what people said, well, anyway,
that'd probably be a Democrat.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Should be a whole other tragedy into life.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
So anyway, while the President is away, today happens to
be the biggest day today for the President's agenda. This afternoon,
at two, the House is going to take the biggest
step yet in delivering President Trump's BBB, officially known as

(02:40):
a full committee markup whea, that doesn't get your blood flowing?
The full committee markup what will Okay? So yeah, that
probably is like, really, that doesn't sound exciting. Today is
the day the House's Committee on Energy and Commerce puts
pen to paper on the BBB's energy, Environmental, Communications, and

(03:03):
health policies. This is also where most of the cost
savings are set to be achieved, and it's also what's
going to pave the path for all the fun stuff
of the BBB. So the sixteen page overview includes a
repeal of unused funds from Biden Your administration policies allah,
the Not So Inflation Reduction Act and the Clean Air Act.

(03:24):
There's also the elimination of the Biden administration's ev mandate, which,
by the way, if you're like, oh, yeah, I forgot
about what was that thing, stated that fifty six percent
of all vehicles sold must be EV's by twenty thirty two.
Just how arbitrarily stupid? Anyway, oh, fifty six percent on

(03:46):
go away. He has thankfully, but actually it's still law
because there are enough Democrats that were in power actually
made that a law. So we've got to repeal that
law and that's part of what's happening here. There's additional
deregulation for the energy industry, most notably around natural gas
that's fast become the cheapest and cleanest natural fuel that

(04:07):
has been powering the worldwide AI boom. Speaking of AI,
today's markup will also include modernization of federal agencies in
the AI ahe specifically, as is stated in the Artificial
Intelligence and Information Technology Modernization Plan says the Secretary of
Commerce shall use these funds to support the replacement and

(04:28):
modernization of legacy business systems with state of the art
commercial artificial intelligence systems and automated decision systems, the adoption
of artificial intelligence models that increase operational efficiency and service delivery,
and improve the cybersecurity posture of the federal information technology
systems through modernized architecture, art automated threat detection, and integrated

(04:52):
artificial intelligence solutions. Huh, operational efficiency in the federal government,
I mean, who knew there could be such a thing.
And next thing, you know, we're going to get rid
of like the retirement cave. So anyway, this is all
the results of Dosh's findings and musk his.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Direction, in particular by the way.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
But then there is what figures to be the biggest
thing that accounts for the greatest savings of all. But first,
a word from Rin Smells related the Congressional.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Budget Office, which provides estimates on the cost of policies
proposed by Congress. Estimates the proposed recommendations in the Energy
and Commerce Committee's portion of the One Big Beautiful Bill
would reduce deficits by more than eight hundred and eighty
billion dollars over a ten year period.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
And I do enjoy how Ryan embraces the Big Beautiful Bill.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
He almost sings it, almost sings it. See you smiling, Joel,
You can tell he does enjoy it. Yeah, he's he's
down with the BBB, are you? Yeah? You know me,
Joel's rolling with the punch. This is good. This is growth.
It doesn't feel right, but yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Growth takes you out of your comfort zone. So if
he's not prompted exactly the way that Naughty by Nature
would prompt in their early nineties song, which that is
the reference, then then Joel will just sit there and
look like a putt. But we moved mountains first thing

(06:26):
this morning, and we're still moving them right now. It
can be done a different way. Speaking of doing things
a different way, my second takeway Medicaid changes. You're likely
to soon here lots of ranting and rating from the
left about how babies and people in need are set
to be stripped to their healthcare. None of it is true.

(06:47):
There are several BBB Medicaid related changes that are set
to take place, including a requirement that states verify social
Security numbers for Medicaid recipients. Gee, imagine that actually verifying
that Medicaid recipients are legally eligible for Medicaid? I mean,
how they dare? How dare they do such a thing?

(07:08):
For example, why is that important? Well? Doze found one
point three million illegal immigrants were well illegally using Medicaid.
Isn't that fun at a taxpayer costs of six and
a half billion dollars per year? But who really cares
about six and a half billion dollars anyway. There's also

(07:29):
a requirement for states to remove dead people from Medicaid roles.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
That's awfully harsh. I mean, how the heck are the
dead people going to get their healthcare?

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I can't wait to see to see the signs. You know,
the latest protests with the signs. You know, dead people
deserve their rights too. Yeah, I mean they're already the
parties already supporting terrorists.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
They said, well, they do support the dead voting.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
So I mean, if you're going to have dead voters,
then you might as well have them get any healthcare too.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
And I guess that's the logic. It does end reason.
It's solid argument.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
So anyway, Yeah, you would be thrilled to know that
we've spent over a billion dollars per year on Medicaid
to pay for the health care of the dead. No,
no fraud happening. There, nothing to see there, bring out
your dead. Why is it the anytime?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Now?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I don't see the old man in Holy Grail on
the cart anymore.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I see Joe Biden.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Remember these things when the when the left starts the
scream about who is set to be removed from eligibility
be dead and illegal immigrants, people that are stealing from
us every day.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So, yes, the mutilation something else.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
We were paying for the mutilation of miners through Medicaid.
No kidding, the Biden administration was making us pay for
the mutilation of miners through medicaid. How evil can you
possibly be?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Doctor? Evil?

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Wasn't that evil Doctor Evil was always kind of funny.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
This is real.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
We were being forced through Medicaid to pay for children
to be mutilated, turned into something They're not unreal. There
are several other tweaks that are taking place within Medicaid,
all aimed at preventing wasteful spending.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
But then there is the granddaddy of them all.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Before I get to my third takeaway, what this is
paving the path for Jason Smith? You say, one of
the leaders among the House Republicans talking about the BBB
and the tax policy with Laura Ingram on Fox News
last night.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
All the tax rates are staying the same as what
they currently are. What is in this bill is delivering
for working class Americans, no tax on tips, no tax
on overtime, tax relief for seniors.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
And the key was how do you pave the path
to be able to expand the tax cuts and also
have deficit reduction and so the biggest cost savings of
all the Medicaid work requirement My third takeaway, So here's
what the requirement actually says. This is the language that's
going into the BBB today. An individual can meet the

(10:16):
community engagement requirements during a month by working at least
eighty hours, completing at least eighty hours of community service,
participating in a work program for at least eighty hours,
enrolling in an educational program for at least eighty hours,
or a combination of these activities for at least to
eighty hours. Basically, just get out and do anything for

(10:39):
eighty hours during the month. Twenty hours a week. You
can do this, you bum. It includes, yes, I do
mean a bum, because if you're not, if you're able
at body and you're not doing something for twenty hours
a week, you are a bum. It includes exclusions for
those under nineteen or over sixty four, and a host
of other sumptions based on certain circumstances.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
So that's it.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
It really seems more than fair, like like way more
than like something. I correct, I wouldn't even go with it.
It's too fair.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Now I would agree, I would go higher than twenty hours.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
But you know there's going to be Democrats fighting that.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Of course, just do anything.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Well that is I mean this when you are hearing
this is the crux of it. So when they're screaming,
this is what they're screaming about. They want able bodied
people to be able to do less than twenty hours
a week of anything and just get free government stuff.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Of course, anything but free.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
So all you gotta do is a little work, or
make a little effort, or even get a little education
in a week. There is no excuse to sit around
and just be a lazy bum and suck off the
government deed at the expense of anyone everyone else who
actually works and does something constructive with their lives.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
There's simply no excuse, no excuse here.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
So this is why I really want to illustrate this
point because the bouts get loud because it'll again today
this afternoon is when it officially goes into the BBB.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
This is what's real.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
And now the savings of adding these medicaid changes is
north of nine hundred billion dollars. The orcard crivement alone
is just north of the eight hundred and eighty billion,
So it's huge, and it does clear the way for
most of Trump's expanded tax policy, such as no tax
on tips and over time. And it is, yes, the
biggest day yet for the BBB. That's the real deal

(12:38):
with what's happening
