Speaker 2 (00:13):
Welcome to The Brian Munt Show and thank you for listening.
It's time for today's top three takeaways. Helpful, useful, repeatable.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Happy Wednesday, hoping he is for you, Trump's Mega Maga
day in Saudi Arabia, Hogtide, and pseudo loans. My takeaways
for you today, starting with oh, yeah, another day.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Now, they're six hundred billion dollars with this trip, we're
adding over one trillion dollars more in terms of investment
and investment into our country and buying our products. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Other than that, you know, it is Tuesday, President Trump.
So yeah, he got six hundred billion at that over
trillion he's talking about yesterday. More in the works literally
right now in the Middle East. With President Trump. It
is safe to say that the President has accomplished more
within the past week for the benefit of our country
than Joe Biden achieved during his entire presidency. This is
(01:15):
like no exaggeration here, and the net effect of Biden's
presidency was negative for this country. So I'm not talking
about that. I mean, all Trump would have to have
done is just shown up, and he already achieved more
than Biden dead net in terms of positives. But if
you like found some things now this actually worked out,
you couldn't cobble in the four years enough together to
(01:37):
equal a Trump's done in a week, fresh off the
UK Trade deal, China trade deal, India, Pakistan, ceasfire, securing
the last remaining American hostage from Hamas, and signing an
order that could save Americans hundreds of billions of dollars
in prescription drug costs. Trump was added again on Tuesday,
securing a new six hundred billion dollar investment for the
(01:58):
United States that the President says has the potential to
create two million new jobs in coming years. Six hundred
billion dollars, two million new jobs in the United States.
This as Saudi Arabia will purchase weapons, microchips, and other
technology enhancements from US companies, notably as the central part
(02:19):
of the deal, and video will sell over eighteen thousand
AI microchips to the saudist As as part of it.
Elon musk He was on hand at the Saudi US
Investment Forum, which, by the way, that was the underlying
event here, the Saudi US Investment Forum, that's where Trump
was speaking from. And Elon Musk even had one of
(02:43):
his robots do the Trump dance to the YMCA for
the Saudi Royal family in President Trump's meeting. The greatest
disservice that's been done to our country recently is that
we do not have video of this ear last.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
It hasn't made its way out.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
This needs to happen though, robot doing Trump dance the
YMCA for Trump and the Saudi Royals I want to see. Anyway, today,
the President visiting with Katar figures to be another great
economic opportunity, as the country's leadership has already offered President
Trump the Royal family's jumbo jet to serve as Air
(03:20):
Force one, as Boeing has been slow to create a
new one, and by the way, that's unlikely to be
the case due to security concerns and depending of the
left noise on the subject, which is just kind of absurd.
But this run of success not limited to what was
happening over seas, as we learned tuesday that the inflation
(03:40):
rate in April fell to just about the lowest level
since Trump was previously president of the United States. At
two point three percent, inflation is now the lowest since
February of twenty twenty one. Look at that, every single
month that Trump has been a president, what's happened. The
inflation rate has fallen three percent when he took over
(04:02):
to two point three percent most recently. That is especially
notable given that Liberation Day took place April second. The
longer term potentially impact of inflation may not yet be known,
But what was clear was what I said all throughout April.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
What I keep saying.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
You had all these people in your GSS media, ooh, tariffs,
you're gonna have to pay You're paid more right now
for stuff.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Ooh, everything costs more.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
And I was like, no, A, they don't know what
they're talking about. B. If they did, they would be
lying to you. Because nobody. I was emphatic. I don't
know how many times during the month of April not
a single person paid more for anything due to teriffs.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Nobody. It was all lies. It was all lies.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Even hinted at it being potentially deflationary as well, though
when the US dollar filled to a certain point, that
kind of went the other way. But that is that's
good news now too, because none of this has been
lost in markets. Importantly, the value of the US dollar
has been on the rise again.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
That's huge.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
And stocks they haven't just covered from Liberation Day losses,
they're now higher on the year, no kidding.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
So big wins coming by the day.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
And I'm not tired of winning, Joel, looks like you
might be exasperated by winning.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I'm not tired of it, okay.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Just just not satisfied with the end.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Need more winning. I mean it's pretty satisfying, but I
need more. Yeah, you're feeling more liberated, Oh for sure.
Very good. Well, you know who's not David Hogg. He's
uh no, I say he's hog tied. My second takeaway
for you today the DNC you voted to a void.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
It's election of David Hogg, is vice chair of a
Democratic party Monday cigning a procedural error after he announced
plans to primary older Democratic lawmakers in safe blue districts.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Fox is Jeff MINASO. There there's a lot that is
fun within this ball of wax. So a former long
retired engineer used to refer to certain people that he
was a made hat and Mays had jobs in this
business occasionally outside of this industry as well, but generally
(06:30):
when he would mention it to me they were colleagues,
he would refer to them as no talent butt clowns.
He used a different word than but but he no
talent butt clowns is what we'll go with here. By
the way, Joel, do you know to the the engineer
to which I am referring.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I believe so. Okay, I could give the initials, but
that might give it away. Oh, I don't think he
ever referred to you as one. I was going to ask,
you're wondering, huh are the initials? Kp Oh wait what
are you doing though?
Speaker 1 (07:07):
So as I don't regardless, no, you're not outing the person,
and I'm not going to tell you good gosh, as
crude as it may seem, you know the whole no
talent butt cloud. It's always truck me and every now
and then, there are there are certain people in society
that I look at and think, oh, yeah, that person's
(07:29):
in NTAC right, and and the other way. You could
kind of look at it like a DEI hire. You
ever find yourself in a situation to where you're dealing
with somebody who's absolutely useless, and you know the only
reason that they have the job that they have is
because they're they were a DEI higher. Oh but that's
that's profiling, damn straight. Yes, that's correct. There are plenty
(07:53):
of times that you can tell people are DEI hires.
One of the many reasons why it's great that that's
going to wait because now you might actually deal with
competent people rather than people that checked the box. But anyway,
David Hogg, ever since he leveraged the horrific massacre at
Stillman Douglas as a personal political opportunity, he's been one
(08:14):
of those people.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
He's been one of those people for me.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
He's gone from staging die ins and publics, which probably
represented the peak of his desperation for attention and state
based absurdities, to remarkably becoming the vice chair of the DNC,
which was and is as much of a statement about
what a dumpster fire that organization.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
Actually is as anything.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Nevertheless, it has been clear that the DNC has had
its regrets about elevating said intac to vice chair at
the party. Also, as it turns out, Democrats still apparently
can't effectively manage their own parties elections with integrity, let
alone handle general elections Legitimately, the DNC is voted to
(09:00):
have a redo of this year's elections, placing Hogg's status
and that of one other vice chair up in the air.
According to an intra party challenge to its own election results,
it was alleged that the DNC improperly combined two questions
and tally votes together, improperly benefiting Hog. So no way
new election is going to be held. In the words
(09:20):
of Hog, it's impossible to ignore the broader context of
my work to reform the party, which loomed large over
this vote. The DNC has pledged to remove me. This
vote has provided an avenue to fast track that effort. Well,
that's probably what happens when you pledge to spend twenty
million dollars the primary your party's incumbents. Not that the
(09:44):
DNC doesn't desperately need to do things differently, but moving
in the direction of someone who pulled political stunts and
sees to elevate himself during a time of tragedy, and
potentially someone to the left of Bernie not exactly what
they need. So we'll see what happens with the party
that doesn't even have election integrity within its own elections,
(10:05):
although that's not exactly something new. And speaking of Bernie,
he knows just how dishonest the DNC actually is. My
third takeaway for you today, No free lunch. Welcome by
the way, happy winsaber, I Joel Malkin with you as
we make my way through my top three takeaways today.
So yeah, no free lunch first or from these fine people. Yeah,
(10:37):
so catchy that even Joel a jew is it's kind
of dancing along, clapping along with it.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
More mocking it.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Okay, So one of the great And by the way,
if you're wondering what the heck was that the Columbia
University takeover last week, those were some of the students
that were doing the you know, divest free palace time thing.
So they have since been suspended from the university. By
the way, what you want to do, I know, Joel
(11:05):
wants to do this.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
You want to pay for their college education, don't you?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Like? You know what I need to be doing is
working paying taxes so I can pay for their college
education at Columbia. You know, one of the great annoyances
to me is when officials and reporters suggest that tax
pair provided things are free. I'll h like free school lunch.
That is, like in the grand scheme of things that
are super annoying, the free school lunch thing just has
(11:29):
always been right.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
There because it's so talked up.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
They extend and we're getting ready to go ahead and
to summer break now, right, and so then they'll talk about, hey,
and you get free food at the schools all summer long,
which of course is anything but free. To give you
an idea, residents of Palm Beach County paid nearly one
point nine billion dollars in property taxes over the past
year for these so called freebies. I mean people literally
(11:57):
pain for these free things with the roof over their heads.
Some people can't afford to keep the roof over their
head for these free things.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
But they're free, right.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
But something that's actually more annoying than falsely saying that
things are free that or anything but is insisting that
something you've already received and agreed to pay for should
be free. And as it turns out, there's a serious
problem with about a quarter of college students pretending that's
some kind of reality.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
While the Biden.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Administration attempted to unconstitutionally move the cost of college education
from students receiving the education to you. Many former students
have decided they're just not going to pay what's toue
and that is about to result in some deep dodo
for them. On Tuesday, the New York Federal Reis Are
put out a research report showing that a quarter of
(12:44):
all student loan dead holders are about to be in default.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
A quarter.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
By way of comparison the loan product to the next
highest Q rate credit cards at just four percent. The
New York FAD notes that stuff is about to hit
the fan for those that have been ignoring their student
loan dead obligations. What happened is Biden convinced them that
they weren't going to have to pay, and so now
that they do, they're just choosing not to. That's going
(13:09):
to work out for them. That's going to work out
for them for the first time. And five years you
have enforcement of student loans once again, and that is
what's getting ready to hit the van
