(00:00):
It's ERGOD along with iHeartRadio, andwe are here with Lyleplastic Surgery and Aesthetic
Center, Hailey and Haley back instudio and Haley is the PA at Louplastic
Surgery and Aesthetic Center. What antiaging device are we going to talk about
today? Yeah, so the onethat we're kind of focusing on today is
one that is called Niagen, whichis kind of newer device on the market.

(00:20):
I wouldn't say it's a laser,but I kind of refer to it
that way because people are most familiarwith the laser. This one's actually a
plasma device, and it's not likethe plasma pen that you think of with
like micro needling. It's actual plasma, which is what they refer to as
the four states of matter, likeyour solid, your liquid, your gas,
and then you actually have a fourthstate called plasma. And so it's

(00:43):
a device that uses nitrogen that isthen turned into plasma that is pulsed into
the skin. So it's not ina blade of laser doesn't break the skin,
you're not you know, people hearabout CO two's which I've done that
before. Yeah, amazing for texture, but there's a lot of downtime a
big process. Yeah, it is, and so it's hard to actually convince

(01:03):
people or even though it provides greatresults, it's kind of like, how
do you tell someone that they're goingto be down for two weeks and look
like Freddy Krueger Hamburger face. Yeah, I mean, I'll be honest,
are Yeah, it's scary, andpeople typically work for a living, and
so they don't they don't want to. I mean, I still came in
here and they're just made fun ofyou. Yeah. Most people cannot show

(01:23):
up in public after a set exactly. And so this device kne Agen actually
provides results similar to CO two withoutCO two downtime. Okay, like I
said, it's plasma, it's pulsed. You you come into the office.
You have to hydrate. Works reallywell with delivering the plasma through interaction with
water, So you have to hydratereally well. You have to come into

(01:45):
the office. We numb you andthen we'll put a hydration mask on you
that kind of allows your skin tokind of soak up some water and then
the full face is pulsed. Andthe good thing about this kneagen is that
you can actually pulse over your eyelids, which is not common for a lot
of laser devices, and that's becausepeople get the droopy and it helps with
that exactly. And so I recentlyjust came back from Boston with Sean Charles

(02:08):
medspot in Boston on what's Wakefield abouttwenty minutes out from Boston, and they
are basically the Holy Girl for theknee agen. They their results are phenomenal.
So I went yesterday and actually observedthem do it, and they're getting
results that look like someone got ablephroplasty, got their eyelids actually surgically lifted.
But they're just doing it with thisneed it's it's it is, and

(02:31):
they're you're not having downtime. Andthere's five days of a sunburn, look
feeling, you're tight, you're kindof red, but most most look like
after micro needling exactly. But you'renot nearly like as down as like a
CO two or a Fraxle laser. Those a blade of lasers. You can
go to work, you can youjust have to put on sunscreen and kind

(02:52):
of baby your face with good moisturizing. So this is the new thing that
you can bypass all of that downtime. That's hard to schedule in your eye.
It's very patient specific too, butit targets scarring, its heart,
targets texture, fine lines, wrinkles, it lifting yup, it does all
of that, and so it takesit does. It's a process. It's

(03:14):
a marathon. So you would haveto send pictures in thirty sixty, ninety
and even one hundred and twenty daysout, and even at one hundred and
twenty days you're seeing remarkable improvements. And that's because what is your skin takes
takes six months for your skin orthe collagen to turn over or rebuild.
Well, that's another thing. Alot of these devices are allowing your skin
to like it's a very thur likethey're heating the skin up. It's a

(03:37):
very controlled way of damaging the skin. Where you're saying, okay, if
I damage the skin a controlled environment, I'm expecting that my skin will then
kind of naturally come to that area. Try to improve it by building collagen
and elastin, which is what givesyou that youthful appearance. This device is
different niagen. The way Sean Charlesactually described it to me is you have
your trees kind of all around, the all around, and the leaves on

(03:59):
the trees are your collagen. Wellin our in our case, our trees
are our fiberblasts. That's what producescollagen. Well, as we age,
you lose that, so you don'thave as much of your fiberblast producing the
collagen. So your leaves are fallingoff. And once they're falling like,
you're kind of that's it because yourfiberplast leaving. So then what the typical
laser devices do is they're allowing someof the leaves to come back on the

(04:23):
tree. But if you don't havethe trees, you're still going to kind
of just keep eating that collagen nomatter what. The kneagen device is stimulating
a production of the fiber blasts. So even two years from now, you're
going to have more collagen than youdid because you're planting more trees. Yeah,
now, how many treatments do youtypically need? Like a CO two,
You do one and you're done fora couple of years until you do
it like a maintenance. Yeah,it's we're finding one and done. If

(04:46):
you do it properly and you evaluateevaluate the patient properly, you're getting results
kind of thirty days, sixty days, nine days, one hundred and twenty
days even twenty four months out fromthe treatment, okay, and how do
they start the process. They comein for an evaluation with you all and
go from there. Yep. Iwould you always would need an esthetic evaluation,
and that's for pretty much any anythingthat's going to be injected, filler,

(05:09):
botox, any laser device, anythinglike that. I think you need
an aesthetic evaluation because there's just somepatients where you would need to hold caution
and just be on the lighter side. But in general, yeah, have
an aesthetic evaluation, and then atthat point I would telepatient, make sure
you're hydrating, stay off of yourretinals because that's going to just cause irritation
and skin turnover, and then justkind of baby your skin until the treatment

(05:31):
and then for another four weeks justbaby it as well, stay hydrated,
apply your moisturizer, and then trustthe process. Thank you to Hailey and
Haley with Loud Plastic Surgery and AestheticCenter. As we learn more about Neogen,
a disruptor in the anti aging world, a new device with less downtime
that can make a huge difference withyour skin's texture, your face, agne

(05:55):
scars, and more, make sureyou get that free consultation is doctor glen
