Speaker 5 (02:39):
W z LX.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hey retired Canton excuse me.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
A retired police official has been charged with ouy after
having an open container after officers found him in a
running car outside a liquor store in Acting early Saturday.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Very interesting story.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
That's a lot right there in that first line.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Lot.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Notice how I just couldn't help confused with right through it.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
What happened was, Uh, police officers responded to this vehicle
in the parking lot of a liquor store. They call
in for the supervisor to come by. Supervisor comes by,
does not process the suspect in the car, who reportedly
had an open container of twisted tea in the little
road soda like how we branded it?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (03:22):
People like what they like?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
The supervisor reportedly drove the retired police official who was
found in that car with said twisted tea and his
passenger home instead of oh, processing them.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, appropriately, they don't normally do that.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
And then when the supervisor came in the next day,
they were like, what's this.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
This isn't how we do this. This is not the
process we go through now.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
So now they have called back the retired police official
who is in the car, and he is going to
have to appear and conquered District court on OUI and
possession of an open container charges. We do not know
the identity of said retired policeiffe and acting police leadership
are reviewing this case. Boston could face a one billion
dollar budget hole as empty office towers got the city's

(04:08):
commercial tax base. That's according to a new report in
The Wall Street Journal. The Boston Policy Institute says homeowners
will be left footing the bill within five years. Yeahay
for your property taxes.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
You know, everybody always says, just tournam into condos. I
heard why you can't why bathrooms? Oh, because once the
building is done, it's so hard to actually put piping
and all that through there.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
That makes sense, Yeah, I get that. Mayor Wu claims
the calls the claims false. But she says, but excuse me,
let me start that sentence again. Mayor WU calls the
claims false, but property values keep falling. No clear fixes insight.
That watchdog says the city's remote work crisis is here
to stay, and so are the tax hikes. There's a
pivotal day in the Karen Reid murder trial. Yesterday, six

(04:52):
witnesses took the stand, offering crucial testimony about forensic evidence
and the night that John O'Keefe was found dead. Retired
Can't and police Lieutenant Paul Galler returned to the stand Monday,
recounting the chaotic, snowy crime scene where Officer John o'keep's
body was found. He described using a leaf blower to
clear snow and collecting bloodstained snow and red plastic cups,
fearing that evidence would be lost in the storm, and

(05:13):
firefighter paramedic Katie McLoughlin testified she heard Karen Reid say
I hit him at the crime scene. The defense questioned
McLoughlin's account and her ties to the homeowner, Caitlin Albert,
raising doubts about her credibility. So that's case resumes today
right now, fifty one and cloudy and Medford.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
It's raining at the moment.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Looks like that may stop a little bit later, but
it weren't for a pretty cloudy day.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
No matter where you are, I'm Danielle. That's your download.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, one hundred point seven seconds of sports with Tyler.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Say It Say it.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Come on, I have to start by apologizing to anybody
that took my advice to bet the farm on the
Celtics in Game one.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
You said that like a hundred times you didn't quite
work out.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Sees dominated the first half, led by sixteen at halftime,
and I think you went to I think around the
same time as I did, right shortly after halftime.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Well it was about sixteen, but they eventually got up
by twenty points. Well I'm getting to that. Yeah, that's incredible.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
I was like, I went to bed at halftime, and
I'm like, just like I thought, easy money, money in
the bank. Here's what hurt them. First of all, perzingis
not on the court last night. They're just a different
team without him, and they proved it last night by
just launching three is like it was going out of
style and perzingis They said it was an illness, not
an injury.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
So I got to think he was hanging around you. Yeah,
because you were poisoned everybody in the.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Well here, yep, I'm taking the blame for this loss
in more ways than one. The other thing that hurt them,
of course, like I just said, they couldn't hit water
if they fell out of a boat. Last night, they
missed an NBA record forty five three.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Pointers forty five for perspective.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
After they built the twenty point lead you just mentioned,
it looked like they were on their way to a
tenth win in their last eleven games with the Knicks.
They missed their next ten shots all were three pointers.
So now we're in ot time winding down. Jalen Brown
gets the inbound pass and Michael.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
One bown it's off to Brown.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Ridges held that.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Come back in a game one win for New York.
Why is the announcer so exciting?

Speaker 5 (07:14):
Yeah, you think he'd bet on the Necks. And by
the way, he just ripped the ball out of his hands.
It like wasn't even like he just took like a
kid at a like on the hard court at school,
and he just took it out of his hands. Anyway,
Celtic Clues won to eight one oh five Game two
tomorrow night here at the Garden where the Sea's are
ten point favorites. So maybe you can get that money back.
Let me tell you a couple of three things to

(07:35):
send you into your day. The Baltimore Ravens released Justin
Tucker yesterday, insisting it was a quote unquote football decision.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with the sixteen
accusations of sexual misconduct. Cleveland Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson was
named the NBA Coach of the Year. The New York
Islanders won the NHL Draft lottery last night for the
first time since two thousand and nine. Bruins got the

(07:56):
seventh pick, and finally the Socks started three games series
with the Rangers tonight at Fenway.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Lucas Giolito gets the start that sports.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
I'm Tyler and this is the Chuck Nolan Morning Show
on WZLX.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Your thirty Seconds of fame as a talkback away, leave
us a message with the talkback feature on the Free
I Heard Radio app. Then make w CLS you number
one pre set.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
It's a Chuck Nolan Wine Show on Boston's Classic Rock.
You know they're still skiing up north now. Jpeak is
still open. Springskin, Babe, Springskin.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
They got four hundred and seventy five inches of snow
this season, so they're still going. They just open on
the weekends, but it still going. There's other people who
are having struggles with the snow. Some people had to
be rescued out of the White Mountains, and one of them,
of course, was from I'll just say it Rhode Island. No, no,
we have the details and a cautionary tale coming up

(08:53):
from ZLX Boston's classic rock one hundred points. I have
a w ZX Chuck Nolan Morning show with Daniel Murr
and I learned how the beautiful day for hiking? Or
when does the sun actually come out again?

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Is there still a sun? I haven't seen sometime this week?
It may mid May.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
This every year, guys, it's just everybody.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Not every year, yes, not every year. Yes, we do.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
April and then we lead into May and then we
have a few days like this.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I remember what one May. It was beautiful. I hiked
up tuck Him and Ravine. It was like in the
seventies now. On the way up, so many people were yelling.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
At me, You're an idiot. What do you doing? I'm looking?
Is my fly open? Going on here? They felt I
wasn't dressed properly for the occasion. It was that temperature
was in the seventies.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
It wasn't back in the seventies.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
No, temperature was in the seventies. It was beautiful, It
was sunny or just so I was going to go
up there watch the skiers.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yeah, but all these people who are hardy New Englanders
who hike up there all the time, thought I was
insane because I wasn't the that's it.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
What were you wearing? Just the light jacket. It was
in the seventies, not the year was.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
April twenty fifth, Just a light jacket. It's a perfect day.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Two New England men had to be rescued while hiking
in New Hampshire because they were unprepared for the conditions.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Chargeum charge them twenty thousand dollars for the helicopter rescue.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Tyler. You're from Rhode Island. Do you know Edward Pimental? No,
but the name does sound familiar. It's from Moon Socket.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
What's a guy from Moon Socket doing hiking up in
the White Mountains in May?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Why not anybody doing hiking period?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
You know?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
And these are guys that go up there like for days.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yeah, well these guys did, but unintentionally if they weren't prepared.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Right they do the Ted Kaczinski up there, they just disappear.
This guy needed assistance just north of.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
The and let me point over here. The schook them Skookum.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
Chuck Trails Chuck Chuck Chuck Cukum Chuck Narrows Chuck.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
The unprepared hiker encountered snow and ikes on the trail,
making progress difficult due to heavy winds, rain, and snow.
The hiker had to take shelter. A search and rescue
team went up at one thirty in the morning to
get this guy.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
You know, can you imagine getting that call and they're like, hey,
so we get a GPS drop that this guy stuck.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
It's the last thing they want to do at one
in the morning is halfway through a bottle of jack,
getting ready to kill you. So they have a walk
up there. They can't like take the snow cat up
there like in the movies. No, they didn't.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Get to They didn't get to the guy for three
hours or twenty in the morning.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Did this guy not know what the weather was going
to be?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Like?

Speaker 3 (11:34):
No, this is the problem that they're running into right
now because people who are not experienced hikers go up
to the White Mountains, they go up to Franconia and
they're like, oh, nice seventy degree day out, I think
I'll have a time, And they're not dressed a purplely. Meanwhile,
white mountains, they're still snow up there. Yeah, and they
don't realize they're in the world at the top of
the mountain marking yes.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Correct.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
If only there was a device that would tell us
what the weather was, you could look at it, but
you can't tell them at the signal could change in
a set. You's got to be research you can do
right now beforehand.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
That's the challenge. So the common knowledge that it sucks
up there, it might not be. You would think yourself.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
You go up there with a buddy, you lose your
cell phone signal, You're stuck up there.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
Next thing you know, you didn't download the map.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
You're eating your friend, you know. And again Tyler is pulpy,
he's well marbled. Am I edible? Edible? Yes?

Speaker 5 (12:29):
It would be like through the soluble fats, she said,
I was delicious.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
How do you skin all the hair off that one? Though?
All right, just a guy for Rhode Island doing this.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Why are you trying to climb up to that that
bug that's on the building, uh off the highway there.
That would be more of a RhoD Island challenge, blue buggy.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
That is a challenge. Yeah, one of the guys was
from here. You're from Westwood. Yeah? The other guy, the
other guy? All right, so what about that tough guy
actually hiked Tyler? Have you ever done like, I'm not
stupid enough to do it.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
You'd spelled athletic wrong, But okay, I.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Am not dumb enough to do it. The mountains aren't
meant to be.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Climbed making athlete.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
You have never hiked at all in New England? Not
seriously that No, No, that's crazy. You're just gone out
on like a trail, cash.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
On that plenty of times. Sure. Have you ever got reading?
Was just taking a walk? Yeah? Okayak herd.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Have you ever ridden the lyft in the summertime at
what choose it? Carrying a nice picnic lunch with a
red and white checked tablecloth, drinking bears afterwards.

Speaker 2 (13:31):

Where is it?

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, it's not like a full destination, but it's destination enough.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
I'd love to I got that thing that day though.
Oh yeah, you don't want the chicken dinner. I don't
want to share a hotel room with you anyway?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Who said we would? So this divorce lawyer.

Reveals the four common mistakes that couples make to number one,
working with Tyler, put some strange.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
On the on the marriage, on the relationship.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
Coming out with me in general as a mistake, Yes,
just to you know, help you guys, keep this this
romance going, Keep things spicy, like I've been married for
twenty something years.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah uh, and I know things like my wife's birthday
is on Thursday. Get a lovely gift. It's also Mother's
Day this weekend, so I will give it the birthday gift.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
And again we've discussed this. She's not my mother. So
the kids can do will they?

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Yeah, well, I'll remind them. Hey you know, yes, seriously,
aren't they like both out of state right now? Yeah, well,
then you really got to do something. They'll they'll make
a phone call or something. I don't mean to change
the subject, but mother won't have their kids.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
The husband has to pick up the slack. What do
I and what am I? What am I to do?
We're like you to do something for.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Kells anyway, continue on to take her out for Breakfa's
something like that. We're actually going to New York for
the weekend. I think that's nice. Pain in the ass,
that is the going out prioritizing your work or kids
over your marriage.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Should not do that, should not do that, should take
care of them?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Right, Well, we made sure when the kids were small,
you know, we took time to ourselves.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
We went away on trips. We just leave giant box
of cherios and the toilet set up for water. They
were fine.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
I'm fine with that when we were a little right yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Falling into the temptation of social media, looking at Instagram posts,
face book, Alvil's TikTok videos, thinking other people's lives are
better than yours.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
What hey, why aren't we doing this?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Why are you following bikini models from Ukraine that are
twenty three?

Speaker 6 (17:09):
They're barely legal?

Speaker 3 (17:10):
John?

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Who's this? Who is this? Why are you looking at
your old girlfriend? How about that? That's that's a big like.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I know a lot of people who have gotten into
the old like reunite with the high school flame. Now
that the marriage or the second marriage is going down
in flames, and they're like, oh now, I'm oh look
I got a friend request from Bob.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I'm just scarious. See what they're up to. That's you all.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Oh he's miserable too. Let's have sex in the bathroom
at the ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Okayoo. I love that it's at the ninety nine under
the radar horn spill.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
You see some of the soccer moms, you know, they're
not gonna write, and they're like, oh nay, we're just
having a little lunch, just reconnecting the.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Time right there, man, right under the Keno screen.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yeah, I'd like they let the get large gold fever
wing and I'm going to be right back.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
I'm going to go to the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Another thing they say is rushing into romance, all right,
getting married too fast. I absolutely agree with this. We
had a short six year courtship. You needed for six
years before you got married. Yes, oh my god, really,
oh my god, I didn't know that. Why you have
to make sure you need.

Speaker 6 (18:21):
A minimum too before you can even consider that much.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Absolutely, because you've got to go through all the ups
and downs of figuring out all them.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
You need all the opportunities for the bad parts of
the person's personality to come out.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
And you have to live with them for at least
a year. We did that.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
We lived together for one year. Just you know, test drive,
see how everything works on. Doctor Tyler and doctor Danielle
are in the building right now. Yes, why did you
wait so long? Well, this was my second dance, you see, yeah, right?
Was there no pressure nor first time around? Somebody may
or may not have left to join a cult, But
that's a different story, understandable it happens. That's a different

(18:58):
retail detail. The anti Christ did a scarred I'm sorry,
we're off topic here, still a little bitter?

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Well, I just you know.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
I think I have to leave the room. Oh very
hot in here.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
Turn red and I haven't seen an Irish guy turn
red like that before.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Oh my god. So make sure you take your time.
Make sure you take your timeiness. You notice how he
didn't answer the question. No, you went right by the
question why six years? She must have been all over
you like a cheap suit. When are we doing this
any day?

Speaker 5 (19:28):
Now?

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Is this her first marriage? Yes? Okay, you know it
wasn't her so much as her mother.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Oh, Boston's Classic Rock one seven w CLX.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
It's always in a restaurant, someone's doing something shocking.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
We're going to be doing what would you do? A
local version of that. Danielle came up at the concept.
I like that. It's interesting. I'll tell you about it.

Boysober

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
