Speaker 1 (00:00):
Craig Way alongside the producer Cameron Parker. Glad to have
you with us as well here on this Wednesday afternoon.
A reminder long worn weekly with coach Sark. We record
the program at six o'clock this evening. Six o'clock this
evening is when we record it, and we record that
out at Pluckers, the West Campus location, and that is
(00:25):
at twenty to twenty two.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Rio Grand.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Some of the else in a little cleanup from our
number one about the inconceivable lot of Starbucks, he said,
if Craig thinks it's taking too long at Starbucks, he
will take someone else's coffee, just missing it, because that
actually happened that gosh, I commend you for your memory
on that. It was an accident. I didn't do it
(00:55):
on purpose. Yeah, were I need to know the story.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, you weren't. You weren't produced.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
You weren't producing us at the time when it was
it was over at the other place.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Says the producer before me. Yes, yes, and.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
The way but nothing to do with him, not his fault.
And you know uh self reporting I you know I
did this and then I told I talked about it
on the air because guilty is charged.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
It happened maybe.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Early last year or something, I don't know, or maybe
even during the summer, not twenty twenty two, and i'd
gone into the Starbucks location. You've been to it, I'm
sure before, the one at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Have you been? Have you been to that Starbucks before?
I have a few times? Okay, all right? That location.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Is a classic example of what the new CEO is
talking about. They get really really really busy, and things
kind of get kind of shuffled and slammed around and
things like that, and all that kind of stuff. Add
to that me being in a hurry, and I was
(02:20):
on my way in to do my show because remember
the old time that I used to do the show
was ten am to do, so I was going through
seven forty five, eight o'clock in the morning something like that.
And I remember I had a little trouble getting into
the parking lot because anybody that's driven in the Wolf Ranch,
you know how much of a challenge it is to
(02:43):
just navigate that parking lot.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
And I do it every day.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I did it this morning when I had to pick
up my broadcast charts that I have printed there at
the office depot.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Not at the Starbucks, and so when you go into that.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Parking lot, it's very trafficky, very trafficky, and tight turns
and all that other kind of stuff. So I kind
of whipped around and wheeled around all this stuff. And
by the time I got into a parket space on
that I knew I was running tight on time.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
So I run in.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And you know how when you pick up a mobile
order at Starbucks, most locations, not everyone, but the vast
majority of the locations that have mobile order pick up
have it kind of separated in aisles, like, yeah, they
do A through what D and then E through M
or whatever they have it. And so I always look
(03:34):
through the for you know, the A through E because
I look for crag or as was spelled the other
day on one crag c r A G or uh
craig c r e g hey cracks in the Bible, right, Yeah, yeah,
that's absolutely Greg has been on there. So I've had
a lot of different ones put up there. So I
(03:55):
go in there to the c's where it is, and
most of the time, most of the time what I order,
just so folks will know I'm not real fancy. On
a lot a lot of times, I like just the
regular pipe place, or really their dark roast with some
(04:17):
sugar in the raw and a splash of half and
half in it.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
That's it. That's all.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Occasionally I'll go for a hazel nut latte because I
like those.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
I do.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I'm partial of it. And during the pandemic, remember we
couldn't get hazel nut. That was one of the things
that we were out of during the pandemic. So I
was settling in the vanilla lattes. But now the thing
we were out of hazel nut, among other things, hazel
nut couldn't find any Remember two of the things that
just drove me the craziest during the pandemic.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
It couldn't get toilet.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Paper and hazel nut. Toilet paper and hazel nut. It
made me crazy during the pandemic.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
I have a feeling that was a promo just came
down anyway.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
So but most of the time I just get coffee
and I went running in there, and I usually just
get a tall the smaller one, you know, And I
go to the ac and I see two cups and
I see c R and I grabbed it and I
(05:23):
went on and I get it and I put it
in my cup holder and I get on I thirty five,
and I start zooming down the road and I'm probably
three miles down the road and then I taste.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
It and this ain't mine. Oh it was.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
It was a I thought was cr It wasn't.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
It was for someone.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Named Gary Gar and I just it just kind of
morphed into my mind. And it was a mocha, which
I don't mind emocha occasionally. It was just it was
just a regular mocha and I and I instantly felt
bad because I thought that dude paid more for his
coffee than I did for mine. And he's going to
go in there, and if if he just does what
(06:08):
I does and just pick up what I do and
just pick one up, he's gonna say this is just coffee.
Hopefully he walked up there, didn't see his asked, they said, oh, yeah,
we did that.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Well it's not here. Oh well, let me make you
another one.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
That was my most fervent hope because I took that
guy's coffee purely by accident, but I did.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
It happens. Yeah, So I've.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Tried to be really really good about making sure that
it's the right one. But it was right beside each other,
as the Canadians would say, side die each So they
were right there and I just grated and I saw
a cr and maybe it just swam in front of
me and it but it was a.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Gr It was Gary.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
You know how the the java jacket kind of slides
up on the name sometimes and it partially obscures the name.
That's all of that, All of that, but no excuses.
I mean, I just grabbed the wrong one. So the
texter is right, Craye. The coffee criminal is what you're
being called.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Now, Yep, yep, I am. I was.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
I was. There's no doubt, so I you know, I
was hoping. I was hoping that maybe maybe the person
that I did that too is a listener and at
least got some closure. Oh now, no, Craig Way stole
my damn coffee. He stole my coffee.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Thief.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
You know, maybe maybe he you know, got some closure,
and like I said, hopefully he pointed out to the barista,
I didn't get my coffee, and then they would look, hmm,
we made it.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
It's gone. Let me make you another one, because.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
That does happen at Starbucks, and that's probably what it
would actually. So I'm hoping that was the case. If
more than a year later, this person is hearing this
admission for the first time right now as.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
We speak, I apologize. Have you gone back to that scene?
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Many? Okay, So it's not like your band from going there.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
No no, I didn't even realize I took it until
I was several miles down the road.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
So no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
It wasn't like, hey, dude, you stole Gary's mocha, so
you're on suspension from the wolf Rance Starbucks to further notice.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Not no, no, no, never never got any of that.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
But anyway, I just hope he got his replaced.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
That's all I can say. All Right, that was a tangent.
Good lord.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
All right, we're gonna get back on football track here
coming up. Andy Everett, played by play voice of the
UTSA Roadrunners, joins us up next on Sports Radio AM
thirteen under the Zone in the IR Radio app.
