Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome to the program on a Texas
Tuesday and from the music perspective at text in Tuesday,
I'm Craig Way alongside the producer Cameron D. Parker. The
D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas, as in
the Dallas Cowboys, the team that is one to zero,
though he has vowed not to watch them unlessen until
they reached the NFC Championship. Maybe that's what the Cowboys need.

(00:25):
Maybe they need you to not be watching for them
to do well. Maybe that's the deal. Maybe that changes
the mojo or something.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I don't know about, Craig. I don't think so. I mean,
that's what it takes. It's fine, no problem with that,
but I think they're I mean one of the disgusting
losses is Francisco in the playoffs. I don't think I
watched that game live because I was out of the
country and oh really not seem to help them? Then?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Is that the one where they ran out of time? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I think that's the one where Zeek was the center
and you got steamrolls and what. It's probably the funniest
final play NFL playoff history. It's up there for sure.
Either most funniest or most embarrassing one of the two.
And I've watched them like I did last year Againt
screen Bay. So I don't I don't think I'm the problem.
I think the problem might be Jerry and Stephen Jones.
But I don't know, maybe maybe not, Maybe it is me.

(01:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Correct hard to get on Jerry and Stephen right now,
They've got there. They got the quarterback, and they got
the wide receiver signed new deals. They just got to
get Micah Parsons done. He was on like Good Morning
Football over time from from Mike. Yeah. Yeah, he was
on and they were asking him about that. Do you
think you've done enough? I mean, you know, your your

(01:33):
body of work, and my goodness, maybe Jerry needs to
step up. I mean there was a little bit of
that in there as well.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Here on Texas Tuesday, here's what we have for you
plan today, Texas. We we call this Texas Tuesday because
we do a lot of Texas oriented things with regard
to football. Uh. We hear from long worn players today.
Andrew mccoob of the former LBJ Jaguar who got his
first interception as a long worn we'll hear from Andrew today.

(02:06):
We will have our inconceivable later this hour. I think
there's a Texas related item with that, but that'll be
later this hour. Then in the three o'clock hour, Greg Chapper,
managing editor of Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, joins us

(02:28):
and we talk about all things football in the state
of Texas, college football in the state of Texas, high
school football in the state of Texas as well. We'll
visit with TEP on that and then we are due
and we'll just stay kind of loosey goosey on this
thing on when it happens. But we're told it is
going to happen that we're going to visit with Jeff Traylor,

(02:49):
head coach of the UTSA Roadrunners. It is wrapped around
his scheduling things, but they're clearing his calendar and clearing
the deck and it is supposed to happen the day.
So we'll visit with coach Traylor, talk about the road
Runners and they're trying to bounce back after the disappointing
loss to in stunning to a lot of folks that
Texas State not only beat them, but beat them as

(03:11):
handily as they did but we'll visit with Coach trailer
about that. So additionally, additionally, with it being a Texas Tuesday,
this is where the Texan park comes in. Cameron Parker
always regales us with some music return cuts from Texas artists,
including the Non Negotiables in the two o'clock hour, a

(03:35):
bump back with the immortal Stevie Ray Vaughan, in the
three o'clock hour, a bump back with the iconic and
legendary Willie Nelson, and in the four o'clock hour with
the King George Straits. That's part of it, and then
there's some other ones mixed in there as well, right,
I mean you do have something else planned in terms
of yeah, usually I'll look around, but Stevie, Ray, Willie

(03:59):
and the King, as you mentioned, non p that'll just
I don't think anyone else today is worthy of that.
There's some honorable mentions. I think Selina will be up there. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you've done that. You've done that, You've done Steve Miller Band,
You've done Boss Gags. I mean there's you know Texans
you know, so yeah, you know, there's there's there's different

(04:19):
ones and you've you've done so anyway, that's uh, that's
what's on tap today. We need to break. When we
come back, we're gonna hear from Andrew mccuba of the
Long Worn Secondary when we continue here on Sports Radio
AM thirteen under the zone of the IR Radio app.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
