the weekend, and the weekend includes the long worn football
team in a scrimmage and a close scrimmage tomorrow morning
inside dk R Texas Memorial Stadium. A lot of conversation
about the running back position this week, given the fact
that Ceder Baxter was injured and CJ will need knee
surgeries out for the season, and it's good to hear

about the progress of Jared Gibson and Christian Clark, Trey
Weisner as well, But of course the guy who's expected
to be the lead guy in that spot at least
right now is Jayden Bluke. Now, sart made a point
when asked yesterday at his news confer or his media availability.

Then we'll hear some more from Sark next hour. But
Sartin made a point of saym because somebody asked him,
would you consider moving somebody else into the running back
spot now now that you've lost a player there, And
he said, well, we like the four we have there,
And he said, I want to give it through the weekend.
I want to look at the scrimmage and see, I mean,

they got four guys there, and see, if you know
any of the guys who have been working regularly there,
who were working there, those who were here in the spring,
that should be ahead of anybody that you might want
to move into that spot or have a look at
to give them the opportunity. So the spring came and went,

and then their off season conditioning work and now of
course they're into training camp and they've looked at what
they have there so far and they want to watch
and see what the scrimmage holds tomorrow. Well for Jade Blue,
obviously he'll be busy on him and you know he's
dialed in and ready to go. And Jayden also gives

a lot of credit to teammates and it's pretty excited
about a lot of the guys who they also got
through the portal, like the fact that his former high
school teammate at Kleine King, Matthew Golden, the former Houston Cougar,
is now on the team.

You know, it was super fun playing with him and
in high school because you know, we were the best
at our positions in that in that district, and you know,
getting him here was was really good. You know, he
brings a lot of versatility to this team, whether that's
returning kicks. You know, he's one of the best kick
returns in the in the country in my opinion, and
it brings a lot of things.

At the receiver position.

He could only not only play with US receiver, but
he could play slot and he also block, so you know,
getting him as a lot of versatility his team and
makes us very versatile.

get me wrong. We have a lot of guys that
can fly on this team. But he assassin me. I

you know me and said, whatever the team needs from us,
both of us are willing to do it, whether it
is you know, him being a guy and him having
that being on a road as we rather me being
a guy and me being on a road as we
just you know, me and him have gotten super close

us are just wilting to do whatever's best for the team.

meeting and then we watched the one Noah Laws coming
in and we saw Julian as well.

of long ones that I've seen him from the day
to day just go out there and compete at the
biggest stage in the world just means a lot.

I mean, honestly, with the team, we don't really do

We just know that we were just really proud to
get the Big twelve and go to the playoffs. That
was really an achievement for us. So honestly, we were
proud of what we did last year, but we want
to just double that and go to although it's in
the national Championship.

Leonga lafoul and his growth because you heard Sark mentioned
if you were to pull the players and say who
were the most popular guys on this team, the real
leaders in the locker room, the ones that the people
really cling to or at least you know, listen to

a lot. He mentioned lafu being one of those guys
on the defense. He also mentioned CJ. Baxter being one
of the guys on the offensive side, and said other
guys will step up and do that, and I think
Business one of those guys as well. But he was
talking about the Fowls road to getting here and what
he did and coming up, his upbringing, his background, and
his road to being a contribute on this football team.

And the younger is just the guy who puts his
heads down, his head down, willing to work, willing to
do anything necessary to get better. He's very disciplined and
he's a good person as well. Getting to know him
and see his family and Hawaii was a great experience,
and getting to understand his upbringing allows me to understand
the type of guy's and he's a really great teammate
and a great person as well.
