Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for us to go to God in prayer,

(00:03):
and as always we ask that you join along with us.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Let me ask you a question. Have you noticed.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Sometimes in your family a pattern, if you will, a
pattern where maybe a bunch of people have children out
of wetlock, a pattern of divorce, a pattern of a
certain sickness or disease. And some people don't like to
use the word generational curses. You've got to decide in
your family that the curse stops with you, that you're

(00:31):
not gonna allow the generational curses of your past to
pass down to your.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Children or your children's children.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Does that mean temptation won't come No, absolutely, It's gonna
come after you like nobody's business. It's gonna come after
you to chieave, it's gonna come after you to divorce.
It's gonna come after you to eat the wrong things,
to not exercise, or whatever pattern has formed to cause
these things. We got to pray, but we've also got
to do the things in the natural to make sure

(01:00):
that we protect ourselves, that we protect our children and
our children's children. Thereafter, I think about the story that
was told about this lady that was making a turkey
she cut the legs of the turkey off, and they said, well,
why do you cut the legs of the turkey off?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
She said, I don't know, because my mother caught them off.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
She called him. MoMA said, Mama, why do we cut
the legs off the turkey?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
She said, I don't know because my mama cut it off.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So then she called her mother and she said, mama, wife,
do we cut the legs off the turkey? And she said, oh, child,
because my pant was too small. Sometimes we repeat behavior
because it was always done in the past doesn't mean
that it was right. It was probably in that moment necessary,
or they were doing the best that they could. You
can make a different decision today, Father, God, in the

(01:40):
name of Jesus Christ, we come before you, God, with
our turkeys, with our pants. God, help us God to
not repeat behavior because it was simply what everybody else
did before us. We come to you and ask God
for wisdom. Give us wisdom and the decisions that we make,
Give us wisdom in the actions that we take, give

(02:01):
us wisdom, and even how to rear and raise our children.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
So often in.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Marriage is families are fighting because my mama did it
this way and my daddy did it that way, but you,
as a family can create.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
A new way for your household.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I thank you, Lord, God that generational blessings will be released,
generational blessings of health and wealth and well being. Help us,
God to model behavior that will be good examples for
our children and our future generations. We want our families
to be blessed, and we know that it can start
with us. We don't have to live paycheck to paycheck.

(02:37):
We don't have to live beneath our privileges. Because you
said where ahead and not the tail. We're above Only
we're number beneath you said, and your worth, and we're
the lender and not the borrower. So Father, we come
and we lift our lives to you. Lord, show us
some ways that we should change or maybe make a
pivot in our lives so that it can positively affect

(02:59):
our family.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
He's in Jesus' name, Amn.
